## What is Fermie?

Your sourdough starter is a living thing. Fermie turns it into a companion.

The face IS the diagnosis: when Fermie looks hungry, your real starter is
hungry. When it glows, it's at its peak — time to bake. No charts to read,
no guesswork. One glance and you know.

RAISE IT FROM FLOUR AND WATER
Making a starter from scratch takes about ten days, and days 3–4 are where
everyone quits. Fermie walks you through every feeding, explains the weird
smells before they scare you, and celebrates the first real bubbles with you.

IT REMEMBERS SO YOU DON'T
Reminders follow your starter's actual rhythm — every day on the counter,
once a week in the fridge, adjusted to your kitchen's temperature. And the
fridge is not a punishment: it's a cozy nap with a wool cap.

BAKE REAL BREAD
Guided recipes that unlock as your starter matures — from a forgiving
weekend focaccia to loaves a young starter couldn't lift. Every step
scheduled ("bread ready Saturday 6 pm"), with timers and reminders. Plus a
whole book of discard recipes, because throwing flour away hurts.

STRAIGHT TO YOUR HOME SCREEN
Widgets show how your starter is doing and when it's time to feed — without
opening the app.

Reminders now arrive when they should. If your starter was hungry and Fermie stayed quiet, that's fixed — the feeding schedule is rebuilt every time you open the app, and permission is asked before anything gets scheduled.

Also: everything fits properly on smaller iPhones. No more buttons hiding below the edge or text cut off mid-sentence.
