## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.15 — 2026-09-04

Bug fixes.

Fixed the Apple Pay setup instructions.

### 1.4.14 — 2026-09-03

Apple Pay logging. Tap your card at a store and the expense is already in Fern when you look. Merchants you have filed before get their category on their own. Switch it on once in Settings, under Apple Pay logging.

While you were away. Taps that came in while Fern was closed show up in a short list the next time you open it, so a new merchant gets its category in one tap.

Savings goals grew up. A goal can be open ended with no target, and your plan can be weekly, biweekly, monthly, or quarterly.

Reaching a goal now asks what happens next: close it, keep saving, or spend from it. Closed goals move to a Grown list instead of sitting in the way.

Tap a goal to open its own page: progress, a Spend button that logs the expense from the account it follows, and the full history.

Recurring in Settings opens on this month, with Next month and All a tap away.

### 1.4.13 — 2026-08-11

- Your budgets carry into the new month on their own. No retyping the same limits every month, and Budgets now opens on the month you are in instead of the last month you set one.
- You can look ahead too. A future month shows your usual limits marked "not set", and setting one makes it real for that month.
- Transfers can include a fee. Add it in Quick Add and Fern records it as its own small expense on the account the money left, so it shows up in your spending and budgets.
- Your savings goals now show on the home page, so you can see how close they are at a glance. Tap the card to open your goals.
- Fix a contribution you logged wrong. Tap it on an investment account to change the date or the amount, or to delete it. Swiping still deletes.
- Smaller things, now sorted. Amounts group as you type (1,095.00), typing over a zero no longer gives you 50 when you meant 5, and transfers in Recent say "Transfer" instead of borrowing a category name.
- Device lock stops asking you to unlock when you pop out of Fern for a few seconds. The Settings switches are easier to see in light mode, and the whole row is tappable.
- Also fixed: a contribution in another currency showed the wrong amount, and the free plan now counts your three budgets per month, so a new month is not blocked.

### 1.4.12 — 2026-07-22

Track your investments. Add an account for PH stocks, US stocks, crypto, foreign currency and gold, or things you keep track of yourself like MP2 and insurance.

Search by name. Type "jollibee" or "apple" and pick it from the list. No codes to remember.

Prices update on their own, and each one shows when it was last checked. Only the stock or coin code ever leaves your phone, never your amounts. Live prices can be switched off on any account.

Moving money between accounts in different currencies now asks what arrived on the other side, so both accounts show the right amount.

Investment accounts, contributions, and updating a value yourself are free. Live prices and gain or loss come with Fern Plus.

### 1.4.7 — 2026-07-04

After commitments now counts every payday. Get paid weekly or every two weeks and it adds each one still coming this month, not just the next.

Tap the info icon on After commitments to see exactly how it adds up, with each goal named.

Savings goals now have a monthly plan. Set that amount aside and Fern marks the goal done for the month.

Money saved in an account linked to a goal is now set aside, so it stops showing as money you can spend.

Editing an account is easier. Save now stays pinned at the bottom of the screen.
