Originally this was a great tool but the battery life on it went to pot after 6 months. The on board lights wash the picture out. This was a neat concept that was junk the minute the decided to outsource it to china. ### 1/5 — Ferret plus Resolution is terrible and the range is shocking *2021-12-05, version 4.28* I thought it was a great idea and a good concept but they haven’t pulled it off at all. I bought the expensive one thinking that the on-board storage would be really useful for inspections but dam was in wrong. The range… Outside at around 5m line of sight the footage is unusable and it starts glitching out and flickering from one image to the other The light… It’s good and bright be brilliant as a torch but because the light uses the same lens as the camera as soon as you get a tiny speck of dust or a bit of insulation or whatever you’re trying to see in the dark with as soon as something touches that lens it washes out the camera makes the footage completely unusable until you’ve cleaned the lens again. Oh and it’s not glass so it scratched really easily. The voltage proximity sensor… Yes it works but it’s very imprecise you could never single out a cable in a load of cables which one is actually live it just seems to go off when it’s even near something live. ### 1/5 — It never works when I want it to *2020-09-11, version 3.4* I’ve o my used this a handful of times. The phone connects to the camera but it stays on the home screen and won’t stream. Would recommend ### 5/5 — It goes where others cannot *2023-12-06, version 5.6* We do a lot of dryer vent service where a regular chimney inspection camera is just too big to make it through the bends of most dryers in our area. We have a lot of galvanized Sheet Metal, 4 inch duck that goes up through the wall and finds its way out through the roof and this run can be as far as 30 - 35 feet easily, although people have complained about the connectivity of this camera with the repeater attached, it works very well. Also, I have taken a piece of coaxial cable and wrapped it around the camera, body and my cleaning rod and this is helped with this problem, however be cautious that you don’t lose the cable. ### 5/5 — Ottima App *2023-11-13* La uso su iPhone 8 e va alla grande. Enabling me to instantly send photos and videos with inspection reports. ### 5/5 — Better than my 5000.00 Inspection Camera *2021-08-19, version 4.26* For many years i have been using the only real inspection camera available that will do what i need in the field. This just replaced it. It will do small vents in dryers and larger in chimney flues. If you don’t own a camera for inspection because you think there to expensive- consider this - all in with the rods it’s under 1k. It’s wireless!! It zooms in!! The leading company that manufactures a comparable product is 7-10k!! I own an iPhone 6, and my son owns the Pixel-3 smartphone. The first WIFI Inspection camera purchased was first tested using my phone, then it was given to my son, who initially experienced difficulty getting it to sync. He was able to get it to work with his phone after consulting with his technicians. Bought a second camera recently, and tested it in a remote area, before taking it to a residence for wire retrieval, which failed horribly after several attempts. I personally feel like the cameras WIFI syncing process might get confused when there are a number of other available WIFI accounts. That’s the story I’m going with, because after I left that home, I went back to that remote location and it started up as if there was no problem. ### 2/5 — No portrait mode? *2026-01-05, version 5.9* The lack of portrait mode is a very clear indication this application is developed by people who do not use the tools.
