Solving puzzles include some punny wordplay and some lateral thinking but most are not too hard. A built-in hint system helps for the few bizarre puzzles. It took a total of about 8 hours to complete. Definitely more inside jokes and puns happening and I ended up using hints because it’s a different vibe altogether and you have to be in a different mindset. Think silliness. Loved all the 80s movies references. ### 5/5 — Loved it! *2020-07-10* I love all of the 80’s movie references. Those are the movies I grew up on. The game was great, as usual, as ALL games made by Glitch Games are fantastic. The puzzles were good, the artwork was different, but I loved it. And of course, the gameplay was excellent. Much love to Graham, the developer, I sat back in the shadows while beta testing Veritas but I see that you are such a great developer and a hard worker. This was the only game I hadn’t played yet so I got it today, finished in a few hours, and did it in one sitting. I’m a big fan of Glitch Games and I’m just waiting for the next pack to be released in Great Escapes. That’s another fun one. I’m a huge fan of the Forever Lost series and have played every Glitch Game on the App Store, and this is one of the best!! ### 4/5 — Addictive *2020-02-17* I originally downloaded this a couple of years ago but struggled to really get into it so gave up. Having just completed Veritas, the latest offering from these developers which I think is their best to date I thought I’d have another go and loved it. I used the hint system a lot I must admit but I couldn’t put my iPad down for more than 10 minutes at a time really really enjoyed it a great deal. Would recommend to anyone who likes point and click puzzles ### 5/5 — By Far My Favorite! *2020-02-07* I’ve been binging all of the Glitch Games for the last week, and of the 6 I’ve now completed, this is by far my favorite. Problem as I have ended up with ‘junk’ items or don’t know what to do with it yet and unable to use the useful things I’ve collected. The game locks up in the hints section and has to be restarted every time. Apparently locking up has been a problem for a while according to the ratings.Then again, maybe it's supposed to have a glitch. Anyway, I'm deleting it.... Update: As of 1-21-16 Glitch has done NOTHING to correct the GLITCH in this game. We must presume they don't care! You can solve some puzzles without need to do everything required. I have finished the game without finishing some puzzles supposed to be part of the game. No icon appeared on my iPad, yet it is showing as paid for in the "purchased" area of iTunes. Plus - I have the payment receipt. Leave well alone ! ### 2/5 — fun little game marred by design issues *2021-01-25* spoilers ahead- while i had a nice time doing the early puzzles, i spent far too long totally stuck in the “free” section without realizing i needed to buy the rest of the game to complete the puzzles I had started; there’s absolutely no progress indicator or warning that you’ve made as much progress as you can in the free area. most of the puzzles were doable on my own, but the last couple were pretty counterintuitively designed. i’ll admit the puns as puzzles were clever even though i didn’t get them without hints, but the heist map and the bear suit uses made absolutely no sense. the low rating is for the unplayable ending. i was able to get the red safe key from the manager before finding the leather duster, but now can’t actually use the key to open the safe because my character is demanding i speak to the manager... to get the key. there must be some sort of bug or flawed design here resulting in a catch-22. very frustrating that because i apparently did something out of order without realizing, i can’t reach the ending despite having paid $1.99 to unlock it. ### 2/5 — freezes *2015-03-05, version 1.0.1* I loved the lost series by glitch games and was excited to play this game. Unfortunately, the game constantly froze and I had to restart it all the time. And it lost my progress. ### 3/5 — Unusual Glitch game w fatal flaw on iOS *2026-06-10* The other Glitch games are really clever and absorbing, so I gave this spin off a try. It’s a slightly different style of play, which was ok, and a very different art style, but the font made the dialogue hard to read (even at a larger size) and, worst of all, I ran into a bug on iOS that made it impossible to complete a task and move forward in the game. (I collected all the candles, including two bundles in one trip, but when I delivered them, only one bundle registered. Now all the candles are gone but, uh, the shopkeeper doesn’t believe me.) The puzzles are challenging enough to be engaging while still remaining logical. The progressive hint system is very well implemented to give you just enough without spoiling the fun (excellent accessibility feature!). I adore the integrated camera, which saves you from having to keep notes manually. Super well written (and actually copy edited, which is also good for accessibility!), solid voice acting, good score, unique art style, groan-inducing puns. All the highlights of the best point and click adventures!
