The AI chat asked me to wait for a rep (on several times), then sent me to an email. I never heard back from anyone. ### 4/5 — App ist ganz ok. *2026-08-02* App funktioniert gut und ist übersichtlich gestaltet. SMS Benachrichtigung ist absolut unnötig. Diese Option würde ich kein weiteres Mal dazubuchen. Bei einem der beiden Häfen in dem wir waren (Ayvalik) muss trotz digitalem QR Code noch ein physisches Papier Ticket ausgedruckt werden. Dazu kommt eine Hafen Service Gebühr die von jedem Gast entrichtet werden muss, diese Info habe ich leider nirgendwo bei der Buchung gefunden. Want to change time of departure and they’ve said twice on 2 occasions someone would get back to us live and they have not. In a perpetual loop with same canned answers for 4 days. ### 2/5 — Watch your ticket selection closely. *2026-07-31, version 4.20.0* I booked tickets on a ferry to the Greek islands. I was encouraged to purchase in advance to ride together. Somehow even though I was booking our tickets together in the same transaction we ended up in different classes of service and were unable to sit together. Very frustrating way to celebrate an anniversary. If the app had promoted me that I was booking tickets that were opposite classes or that we were not sitting together I would have fixed it. The app also sent me to a dock on the wrong side of a large port. Dragging luggage half a mile to catch a ferry was not an enjoyable chore. ### 3/5 — Add changes. It has been already 2 weeks and nothing has happened but automatic answers saying that they will take care of my problem… try to contact them many times, still no reimbursement . I will take action with a lawyer as suit is a company business card. really not professional at all. Cyril ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-07-10, version 4.18.0* Ferryhopper is terrible, horrible. They scam you for money. They have fake customer service. First it was Ai, then it was someone who gave me 3 different stories about my refund. The app is misleading. They don’t honor their word, their refund policies, and they lie on review responses publicly. They lied PUBLICLY stating they refunded me 50% when they didn’t refund me at all and didn’t allow me to cancel when I tried during the proper time. They have now stopped responding completely. I have not gotten refunded until this day. They flagged my review so it would get taken down but it wasn’t taken down because I didn’t slander. I was lucky that another ferry left the same day and ticket was available at the port. But I lost my money and a lot of time. Kind regards, The Ferryhopper Team ### 1/5 — Barely a ticket broker *2026-06-12, version 4.16.0* Beware! Ferryhopper will tell you that all they do is provide ticketing service. Fine. But even in this they are a total failure. Our ferry was first rescheduled with a different company and then canceled. I tried for 24 hours to get any assistance from them. Nothing. Their chat feature is an AI ruse that ultimately does nothing except say they will send you an email that never comes. DO NOT USE! UPDATE: They did none of what they said could be done. I did ask for an agent but when one didn’t come on the AI told me I’d get an email. And I did send them an email. I did not get ANY acknowledgment from Ferryhopper that the ferry company had canceled until it was almost too late to book alternative travel. And they left it to me to find that alternative travel. ### 4/5 — Great easy app *2026-06-07, version 4.16.0* Very easy to use. One drawback which might just be my mistake is that I couldn't figure out how to change a ride to a later time. It’s not necessary to compare the prices or book tickets. ### 1/5 — did not allow change i paid for *2026-08-24, version 4.21.0* i paid for a ticket with an extra charge to make it fully flexible. I tried to change well within the allowed time, and it didn't let me. The chat was not replied to , although within their advertised hours. When i got a response, they said they can't do anything as the ferry had left . Will challenge it with my credit card next.... ### 1/5 — Fraud - complete fraud *2026-08-24, version 4.21.0* Update - this response from them is absurd. It’s like they think that when they get busy they don’t have to fulfill the contract they have. When I asked for a refund because they didn’t change my ticket under the flexible terms, they invented some requirement for me to mail them a receipt for the ferry I didn’t take and wanted me to somehow prove I bought a different ferry ticket. They are just total scam artists. They know they need to refund it but act like there’s all these hoops to go through to do it. I’m reporting them to the credit card company for fraud to get my money back. Every response from them is as bad as the day I tried to change my flexible ticket. Don’t bother with this app it’s total fraud. You are better to book directly with the different ferry lines. I bought the flexible pass option to be able to change my departure time and SURPRISE - when you go to change it the app makes you chat with a bot and then some sort of agent who says “sorry I can’t help you” and tells you someone will get in touch with you via email… this of course happens hours later after you needed to change your ticket. I’m filing a fraud refund request from my credit card company. Ferryhopper is not a legitimate app or business. ### 1/5 — Scam. Just book at the port *2026-08-20, version 4.21.0* App doesn’t update with critical information. I missed my flight out of Greece because Ferryhopper didn’t update that the ferry had cancelled. I could have booked a different solution but instead waited for an hour past the departure time because the app said the ferry was “running late”… and by then it was too late catch a different ferry. Instead I had to buy another ticket at the port and reroute to Athens. Weeks later still going in circles with a low response customer support team for a refund. ### 1/5 — Fraud - complete fraud *2026-08-18, version 4.21.0* Don’t bother with this app it’s total fraud. You are better to book directly with the different ferry lines. It is impossible to modify or get a refund when there is a change to the Ferry schedules. I cannot recommend any more to never use this company. The way they handle customers are they should not even be able to operate. Book directly with the ferry companies ### 1/5 — Terrible experience, will never use again *2026-08-12, version 4.21.0* If I could give less than 1 star I would. We had a trip booked to Paros and 2 hours before the ferry would leave, it was cancelled. Fair enough, no one can help the weather. Did not hear a single thing from Ferryhopper about what was going on. I messaged their terrible AI bot to try and find out what was going on, they said they would put me on to a human. After 10 minutes, they said they would email me as no one was available. Well it’s been 26 hours now and still have not heard anything from ferryhopper and we had to cancel our trip to Paros so we’ve lost money on our accommodation. A simple round trip change to upgrade seats will charge you the entire fare three times and refund you twice. It is ridiculous ### 1/5 — Almost ruined honeymoon *2026-07-23, version 4.19.0* We used this forsaken app in Athens. First time here, fresh off a flight, can’t understand what’s happening but trying our best. Supposed to take the ferry from Athens to Paros and this stupid app has the “find your ferry” option. So easy for travelers right? WRONG. We ended up at a ferry gate that was a 25 min walk away from the one we were supposed to be at. The port is HUGE and we had to run with our suitcases because the only taxis there were ones to pick people up coming off of ferries. We had to run that entire distance, ended up on the ferry covered in sweat, crying, and not being able to breath because it was also 90 degrees outside. AND not for nothing, ferry hopper could not figure out where we were on the way back and had us “delayed” by SIX hours when you could see clearly on the map that we were close to the port. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Friendly App *2026-08-26, version 4.21.0* I am pleased with the app’s functionality.
