## Newest reviews (11 of 33)

### 2/5 — Good idea, it’s still buggy

*2021-02-16, version 2.1*

Can’t really use it yet because the date selection is just blank even though I hear the scrolling date wheel.

Will love to try it when it’s fully functional.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone-X

*2019-08-16, version 1.1*

Will just keep piling these up until you fix it.

### 3/5 — Simple, but appears to have a calculation error

*2019-06-24, version 1.1*

The app is a great simple way to try different scenarios out and see what your annuity (pension) would be. It really only works for basic situations, as noted by other reviewers. I also found that when trying to calculate my annuity if I left after reaching MRA, but before reaching 30 years of service, it way over-penalized me. The scenario I used had me leaving 15 months early, and it said my pension reduction would be 27.922%. The estimated monthly payments were reduced from $2,375 to $1,645. (Ouch! That’s a whole lot more than a 5% per year reduction.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2019-05-11, version 1.1*

Doesn’t have anything to click on in order for you to enter any information. Unless they fix it, don’t bother even trying.

### 2/5 — Not sure

*2019-03-10, version 1.1*

I increased my retirement date by 6 months and it shows $72 per month less. Not sure if that math is correct

### 1/5 — Crap

*2018-12-21, version 1.1*

I’m an LEO and this thing, although it claims to understand law enforcement firefighter retirement, does not. Completely WRONG. CRAPPY Aapp probably written by a non-government employee who doesn’t understand the system.

### 1/5 — Useless on the iPad

*2018-10-20, version 1.1*

Loaded app onto my iPad to roughly figure my FERS plan, but received a junk app instead with only a link to yahoo.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2018-09-12, version 1.1*

This app is crap... the interface does not fit the iPhone X. Towards the top of the page the tabs are cut off. When I add another year or two in delaying my retirement it does not change the bottom dollar amount. Since I am a veteran with 8 yrs of service, or does not compute my $$ correctly. This could be a great app but it has some serious flaws.... please fix.

### 2/5 — This will not work on an iPhone X.

*2018-09-03, version 1.1*

I loaded up this app but due to the screen on the iPhone X issue, the top menus cannot be accessed. Hope this gets fixed soon.

### 2/5 — What about unused Sick Leave?

*2018-05-25, version 1.0*

It has good potential, however it does not take unused Sick Leave into account when computing your annuity. Unused Sick Leave is used for this calculation in blocks of 30 days. It cannot be used to reach MRA (minimum retirement age) but is used to calculate your annuity computation.

### 1/5 — Totally useless for law enforcement

*2018-04-21, version 1.0*

It’s useless for law enforcement.
- retirement is mandatory by age of 57 for LEOs (some are allowed to work til 60)
- firsts 20 years are computed at 1.75 for LEO
- there is no provision for buying back military date. Many people have different SCD an EOD dates.
- there is no reduction for retiring under 60 for LEOs.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wrong Required years

*2025-10-17, version 2.2*

They have age and years with and without knowing what part of government what are you CSFR or FERS are you under RUF because every one is 62years old not months of old but government thinks your so stupid you need a calculator for your age . You don’t need a calculator to tell you your agen but they don’t know your age if you give them a date . It’s not your birth date,
It’s the year you are born. for the person who works at OPM. If I say i’m 62 old the employee working on retirement department needs a chart showing
my age . You is a word that is for them not you .
But you making this app should read the rule title 5 retirement is no 50 years an 20 months
you need to know the section

### 1/5 — Futile

*2022-02-24, version 2.2*

Opening this app on iPhone 11 results in a white screen and then crash back to my iPhone main screen and the app icon. Complete and utter failure. Works as well as DoD NIPR computers.

### 1/5 — What happened to this app?

*2020-11-16, version 2.1*

This app is no longer working as before. Please fix it. I can use the iphone keyboard with the app like I used to.

### 1/5 — App no longer works

*2020-11-16, version 2.1*

So I just update my phone to iPhone 12 and this app no longer works can’t set any dates. Any chance of getting an update soon?

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2020-08-05, version 2.1*

The update 6 months ago made this very useful app a waste of time. Users can no longer update or change dates etc.

Don’t waste time downloading it.

### 1/5 — Stop working. Won’t let you set dates

*2020-07-20, version 2.1*

Unable to change dates.

### 1/5 — Do not download

*2020-03-13, version 2.1*

This is a worthless advertisement for Ameritrade

### 1/5 — Updates crashed it?

*2020-02-04, version 2.1*

I was using this application. It was interesting to my co-worker also. I liked that I could adjust the dates and amounts so easily to see what would happen if I retired on certain dates. The certificate, if you turn the phon on its side, is comical too, esp as folks often talk about when they plan to retire.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone 11

*2019-12-31, version 1.1*

App is completely useless on the iPhone 11. Can’t get past the first screen.

### 1/5 — Can’t access the menu bar

*2019-10-18, version 1.1*

If you have a newer iPhone that doesn’t have the home button the menu at the top of the screen is not accessible. You can’t do anything within the app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-02-21, version 2.2*

Everyone complaining about SL. If you were smart you would use before leaving. Doesn’t make any sense to leave with a lot of sick leave doe#not make much difference to your pension. Better off using it

### 5/5 — Simple easy to use for regular FERS retirement

*2025-08-26, version 2.2*

Nothing fancy but a great tool to use to know what your MINIMUM retirement should be when attempting to guess what your FERS annuity should be. Nothing fancy and doesn’t try to calculate what your sick leave will do or annual leave. I totally recommend this app. Just ask you to buy anything else or try to collect data from you.

### 5/5 — Sick Leave

*2023-11-02, version 2.2*

Why would you leave with sick leave? Use it!

### 5/5 — Excellent Retirement Tool!

*2020-12-29, version 2.1*

This is a Great Retirement Tool! I absolutely love it! I really like how I can input my information so I can calculate my Pension for retirement. I highly recommend this tool to all Federal Employees. It’s a Game Changer!

### 5/5 — Good FERS retirement tool

*2020-01-11, version 2.1*

Handles the calculation easily. Saves multiple retirement scenarios. If you choose your inputs with care it will calculate immediate retirements, deferred and postponed retirements. Note: deferred and postponed retirements are not the same!

### 5/5 — Solves the mathematical challenge of figuring out retirement

*2018-09-06, version 1.1*

Federal government has an interesting and complicated to figuring out how much FERS check would be. This handy tool figures it out for you. I recently showed a coworker who only wanted to work in the system for 10 years, how much they would get monthly and they quickly changed their mind about retiring so soon.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2018-03-15, version 1.0*

Does exactly what it’s meant to do. Simple and to the point.

### 5/5 — Cool App

*2016-10-14, version 1.0*

A very simple and cool app that takes all the mystery out of calculating your FERS retirement.

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2018-08-21, version 1.1*

Simple to use and straight forward. Would like to see S/L figured into the calculation. Many of us have over a year of accrued S/L. App gives the number of years and months to retirement. Would like to see days added to that. Nice app.

### 3/5 — Okay but missing…

*2021-06-04, version 2.2*

It doesn’t give you the ability to enter sick leave, which adds to your Years of Service.
