## What is Festina Lente?

"Festina lente" — make haste, slowly.

An old Latin motto, said to have been a favorite of the Roman emperor Augustus. Push hard, then pause briefly, and repeat. Festina Lente is an interval timer that does exactly that, and nothing more.

THE DIAL
- Work: a thick ring that empties as the seconds run down
- Rest: a thin ring that fills back up, on a darker screen
- The current round is shown large, so you can read it from across the room
- Tap the dial to pause and resume

YOUR INTERVALS
- Work from 5 seconds to 10 minutes, rest from 0 to 5 minutes
- 1 to 99 rounds, or repeat until you stop
- An optional get-ready countdown before the first round
- Your settings are remembered

THE SOUND
- Three short beeps, then one long beep: the same signal for work and for rest
- Plays alongside your music or workout videos, even in silent mode
- Haptics at every turn. Sound and haptics can each be turned off

ALSO
- The screen stays on while the timer runs
- Portrait and landscape, iPhone and iPad
- Japanese and English

PRIVACY
