It says the owner has left me a review. Just spent 15 minutes scrolling over every nook and cranny of their two websites and cannot find what the owner wrote about me. I was never emailed a confirmation. So I organised alternative accommodation. And then months later, the property owner got in touch to organise check in!! I can contact no one from the Bookabach / VRBO / HomeAway team - and their bot can find no reference to the booking - still! I’ve had to try to stop any future transactions through my bank. Tried to book the Church House Onetangi Waiheke Island with lots of notice for my mother-in-laws 80th birthday. Our request to stay was declined as we had too many guests although we were a party of 10 and the house catered for 10. No other explanation given. Credit card details taken etc. Thus far the property is still advertised for 10 and the owners have a 100% acceptance rating…. Don’t waste your time and risk your credit card details. Dealt with agents Nikki & Felecia. Very disappointing. ### 2/5 — Basics work but still needs improvements *2025-12-19, version 2025.50* The basics of the app (booking, messages, setting up bookings etc.) work but for a good app experience there are still improvements required, such as working notifications (only a badge is shown, but no audible notifications), better readability of messages, display of actual time when messages arrive or are sent. ### 1/5 — Use at your own risk *2025-12-12, version 2025.49* Beware bookabach is just an aggregator. This means there is inconsistencies between listings for the same property and when you need to make changes their information cannot be relied upon. This can cost you money. If you try to get support they will try and push the problem onto the poor host who has no control. Use at your own risk! I would recommend rather using the third party services they use at the back end like Expedia. ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-12-07, version 2025.48* Do not put your credit card details in with out checking to see first if the house is available. House owners are not updating the price or availability so after you try to book they come back and say it’s increased by $300 per night due to them not updating. No accountability by Stayz. Lodged complaint and of course they haven’t got back. They have your credit card details though. Noted he had not adjusted the price yet. Then I was not given an opportunity to book the property at that rate and my request was cancelled. The apartment is full of Parisian charm and has a lovely calm and relaxed feel. The area it is not too touristy but is the perfect position to explore anywhere in Paris. Benoit the host is really friendly and helpful. He has thought of everything and the apartment has everything you need to feel at home in Paris. Highly recommended, a great stay. Beds and sheets are divine. Pillows are a bit too high, but all in all, sleeping was great. Kitchen appliances are high quality. One must provide staples, such as salt/pepper, etc. Staff was OUTSTANDING! Very helpful and great communication. We were so happy to rent it so we definitely with go there again if it is available. ### 5/5 — Family Get away *2024-03-08* Beautifully furnished home with the most amazing lush gardens. Pool was fantastic and we made the most of it with the shade over pool being a major plus. Couldn't fault anything and the Host was very welcoming and accommodated us to an early check-in a later departure. Look forward to our next trip up to Broome. So many thoughtful inclusions in every space & refreshingly not furnished with cheap big box store furniture & utilities. Really clean & comfortable as well. Love the pool, fresh linen & king sized bed. Close enough to everything, so a really fantastic haven to settle into after fun days kicking around all the surrounding beach & cafe areas.
