However, the app review pops up after installation at first launch. Can’t give an honest review if users haven’t used it. Please disable. Thank you. ### 3/5 — Something is not right? *2025-06-27, version 4.0.3* I downloaded the app from a free app service. I followed the instructions and chose the free lifetime account. When I looked at my account status, I found that my next payment was due on July 4. Reading some of the other reviews and seeing that on the screen heightened my caution about moving forward with the app, so I deleted the account. It’s a great idea, and I don’t know how the app really works, but when you have that initial spider sense that something doesn’t add up it’s better to say no. ### 1/5 — Pro Number *2025-05-15, version 3.2.8* I agree with the previous comment. I searched for numbers for a while and had no match. I knew I would find a comment about this here. This app is disappointing. For an app that charges 120$ a year, plus charges for a certain amount of messages to be sent, Im surprised they don’t have a auto search function for numbers rather than inconveniencing the customer with a manual search. ### 1/5 — Stay away *2025-03-30, version 3.2.8* When you stop payong monthly you stop having access to your credits ### 1/5 — App is broken *2025-03-12, version 3.2.8* Paid for platinum and the app won’t let me choose a pro number to schedule texts. It keeps telling me no numbers are available in that region after trying nearly all of them. ### 1/5 — Scam！ told me it’s a trial but charge me annual fee *2025-02-25, version 3.2.8* It’s a total scam. I want to try out the trial but it turns out didn’t work as it is supposed to be. Unfortunately in order to do so you need an assigned “pro number” (I guess an alias number that you will be texting from which is a little suspect and a potential hidden fee since you are not texting from your own number which makes more sense) they are to provide you this “pro number” if one is available?? Literally wasted time randomly picking numbers that are not available so I can’t use the app for the one reason I needed and wasted time..they should develop a way to auto select the next available number to avoid the hunt and peck time waster . So disappointing had high hopes for this app. Canceling my free trial immediately..Ugh!!! ### 1/5 — Says free, it’s not. *2024-11-03, version 3.2.5* Not free like it claims, so I just downloaded this for no reason. ### 1/5 — Canceled but how do I get a refund *2024-10-06, version 3.2.1* I thought this was going to be a great app. It is not! It is crazy confusing but the part about charging for everything is true. Not only that but I apparently somehow ended up with the premium version!?! I tried to cancel and it does say it will be canceled in October of NEXT YEAR! I do not want to pay $9.99 every week or month!!! And after hearing other reviews, I find out that I need to purchase a phone number from them lest a message with my phone number may get flagged as spam! Great, not! And then the time & day is listed at the bottom!!! WHAT??? That is so counterproductive! And, not done yet, they advertise at the bottom of your text. Seriously, I want my money back! ### 1/5 — Fair warning: not free. *2024-09-24, version 3.1.7* The app is “free to download”, yes. But the “Free” stops there. Requires monthly subscription for something androids have built in by default. So annoying. ### 1/5 — Horrible App *2024-09-21, version 3.1.7* You can’t use your own number to send messages. You have to get a new number. Plus you also have to purchase credit from the app to send messages. I would not recommend purchasing this app. I wish I could get a refund. ### 1/5 — Can use with small screen phone *2024-07-20, version 3.0.0* No way to get past phone number screen with a small screen phone (iPhone mini). “Submit” button remains beneath the keypad. Poor UX/UI. ### 1/5 — Expensive and obtrusive *2024-07-08, version 3.0.0* First the developer wants $60 per year, and if you bypass that the developer wants your phone number. This isn’t a high level office suite nor am I sending thousands or more text messages as a ‘business’ around the world. Uninstalled. ### 1/5 — Everything is locked behind a paywall, that gets shifted *2024-06-11, version 2.8.7* I downloaded this to give it a shot. In order to “try” the app you’ve got to ignore three pop up ads that ask for $60/year. Then in order to test a message, you have to subscribe at $5/week. But if you want to use ANY of the features shown in the App Store you have to then upgrade to $8, or $10/week. This felt far too much like a scam, so I gave up and cancelled the subscription. ### 1/5 — SCAM *2024-05-14, version 2.8.7* The first time I used it, I paid and immediately I didn’t have enough credits for more than 3 texts. Then they “fixed” that but my very next time, I had to upgrade to get a number, even though I was paying a subscription. Not worth it. There are much better apps out there. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-11-15, version 4.0.38* Not user friendly AT ALL!! 1. You have to send INDIVIDUAL text messages. Not in one text blast, as suggested in advertising 2. Worse, in my group of 95, it tells me that 37 people didn’t get sent a message - WITHOUT TELLING ME WHICH 37!!! So now I have to cross reference which people got the message in my inbox 3. And of course, there’s no number to call for tech support. I dropped this waste of money right away!! ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-09-21, version 4.0.36* I downloaded this as there is a Reddit post stating you can schedule texts from this app. There is actually no way to schedule texts on this app. ### 1/5 — Error *2025-06-29, version 4.0.4* Showing as my number is linked and cant log in. ### 1/5 — Failed to verify the phone number *2025-06-28, version 4.0.3* Just tried the app, but can’t get past the number verification process due to “Exceeded quota.”? I don’t know what that really means and ir doesn’t say much of what it is either. I just opened the app, how can I exceed the quota if I am just trying it for the first time? ### 1/5 — Failed to verify… *2025-06-28, version 4.0.3* FEXT Lifetime Unlimited downloaded successfully. I’m still unsure if that means unlimited use without any subscription or there’s still a subscription required. It’s irrelevant because when entering my phone number I got the following error, “Failed to verify the phone number Exceeded quota.” I don’t know what that means but I can’t go any farther. I’m deleting FEXT until I get a response from the developer. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. *2025-06-27, version 4.0.3* Cannot even login. I use the same number and Apple ID. Don’t waste your time and money. Won't use it. You can add contacts. Tried to figure out how to delete them. Nope. There is no help function, so when you get stuck you're stuck. Tried to create a group. Can't save it. It's pretty useless. $50 down the drain. ### 1/5 — Cannot send out schedule text *2025-06-03* I purchased Fext for the second time specifically to use its scheduled text messaging feature. Unfortunately, I’ve discovered that this function requires a Pro number. I’ve searched through numerous area codes across different states, but no numbers are available at all. Without a Pro number, I can’t send scheduled texts—which is incredibly frustrating given that I just bought the service.
