### 2/5 — Good service, shame about the app

*2026-07-18, version 4.27.1*

I would give the service itself 5* but the app is very hard to use and there's no help either on it or the TfW website. Have managed once to book a ride but usually find it easier to book by phone.

### 3/5 — good but..

*2026-07-14, version 4.27.1*

good but sometimes they do drop you off at the wrong stop and sometimes it just gets tiring having to get up and telling then its the wrong stop and once one of the seats were wet from someone peeing on it and i sat on it with a wet skirt the whole day and i really think the app should have an option to see if you can request a later time or a earlier time when you book your travel and to see if a later or a earlier time is abailabke

### 3/5 — Big issue is

*2025-01-20, version 4.17.2*

That when one person books the Fflecsi no one else can join the same bus on route or before. Which means bus is under populated and not able to make savings to get more passengers in the bus at any one time.

### 3/5 — Has potential needs to branch out slightly more

*2024-08-04, version 4.17.2*

As cool as the concept is I feel that it’s very restrained from going to areas that become inaccessible I understand that it’s limited but from the place I live and how limited bus and trains are. This could’ve been a good addition for those who could use this app to get to places without being restricted to other public transport as they cut their bus times in half and the latest train is 7. Doesn’t need to be the whole of wales but I could branch out to Conwy or Llandudno Junction, but not Llandudno or colwyn bay as they have multiple transport whilst the other two don’t for example. Hope this addition could implemented one day

### 5/5 — Mrs BM

*2024-01-09, version 4.11.13*

A very reliable, much needed service. We are becoming more of an elderly population within the County. As a non driver it is my main means of transport and keeps me independent and fit as most of my journeys are to the Leisure Centre.

### 2/5 — Intitaled lady

*2023-11-03, version 4.11.13*

There is a lady that always get on at kilgeti and thinks me and my mates don’t have a right to an education and made a false complaint about us, so we could get kicked off, one day I decided to mock her bc she kept giving me and all my mates dirty looks and she told me to watch my mouth, obiously her being 70 I thought she didn’t have a right to tell a 15 year old that and report us for talking. So I said back to her, “you watch your mouth then” and the wouldn’t stop giving me and my mates dirty looks. I’m a good student in school and I try hard I have had sleepless nights bc of school and taking away my education won’t help it, I have moved schools just to stop being bullied every day and to make myself wanan go into school. If you think taking a child’s education away isn’t important or you think sending me back to my old school will help, it won’t. I had chams and was diagnosed with adhd and autism so sometimes I get really angry but I haven’t done anything to this woman, I have always apologised when I swore to make her feel better. But haveing school work and dealing with bullying isn’t good, having this lady turn around every point she gets, she will give me dirty looks ans my friends. Please give me the right to a good education and let me want to go ti school, I’m in year 11 and I refuse to go back to my old one, there was a privet school suggested but I would need new friends ans I don’t what my life ti be difficult bc this lady doesn’t respect education or me.

### 2/5 — Don’t waste your time if you don’t need to.

*2023-03-12, version 4.6*

If you, like me, are a college student who was told to use the fleccsi service to get to and from, unless totally necessary, I wouldn’t recommend using the fleccsi service. If you’re not a college student and you’re trying to go out for the day, don’t bother. There is nothing more lazy and pointless than the fleccsi service when it comes to timing and booking. I’ve had many trips with the fleccsi service and the only reason I’m not rating the app one star is because of a couple of lovely experiences I’ve had with drivers of the service and a few positives I’ve listed further on in this review . However, here are the list of issues with this app: 1. The times for the ride are highly inconsistent; If you book a ride for 8:00 you might get a ride for 7:00 or 6:00 which while not far off can be a large pain when it means you have to wake up twice as early as necessary just to get from A to B 2. The times that are available are so ridiculously limited; I might be mistaken as I believe times may vary from area to area but where I am the times range from 5 - 8am and then stop until 1-2pm and then stop AGAIN until like 6pm until night? So while it can be used if you plan your day around it, it’s not a great way of getting to and from any times other than the small amount they let you have. 3. Even considering the hours may be pointless when you take into account the difficulty of actually getting a bus. Unless you plan over a week in advance to book a bus you might as well not even bother, 90% of the time you try it will tell you the bus on this route is full which I promise you, it is not. I don’t think there have ever been more than 5 people on a fleccsi bus with me at one time. There is a sweet spot that you can book a bus on occasion but for the most part it is impossible unless booking 10,000 years in advance; Recently, they don’t even bother telling you why you can’t book it, you just get a message telling you about a service bus you can catch instead? As if that’s not what you’re directly trying to avoid with the fleccsi bus. 4. The app quality is poor and the UI, despite being easy to understand, is a pain to manoeuvre with repeated button presses just to make it work and stupid unnecessary menus. The app often glitches as well which while not a huge issue says enough about the work put into it. As for the positives: 1. The bus drivers I have are usually quite nice, I even had one help me look for my glasses near my route that I had lost once as he had extra time before the bus needed to depart and wanted to help. 2. Admittedly there have been times where the fleccsi service has been more convenient than trying to get a service bus, albeit seldomly. 3. The rides are much quicker than a service bus due to the smaller amount of stops it needs to reach and you can view the route you’re taking on the app as you’re being taken there. Overall, the fleccsi service on most occasions is harder to use than a service bus, especially considering the small amount of area you actually can travel around using them, essentially only Blaenau Gwent and Cardiff and Newport. It feels as if the service was devised by chimpanzees who used sign language in order to communicate their ideas to the app developers who likely did not understand the chimps and ended up creating this disappointing app. In summary; Book a service bus or ask a friend for a lift and save yourself the trouble.

### 5/5 — Superb

*2022-07-04, version 4.3*

To begin, the drivers were very welcoming and it only got better! As three 15 year old girls travelling around the area alone, we felt confident that we were always going to arrive on time and felt like we were in safe hands. The app is relatively easy to use however we recommend booking a couple days in advance as we were limited for choice of time due to buses being full. Finally, the buses are very easy to spot so there is no confusion and you even get messages informing you how far away the bus is and when it has arrived.

### 5/5 — Useful app for those don’t drive a car

*2021-09-01, version 3.36*

+ very useful moving around, especially for those don’t plan to drive
+ convenient and easy to use
+ reasonable price
+ comfort vehicle
- need to book at least one hour advance
- need to provide pick up location earlier

### 1/5 — Rubbish app

*2021-08-15, version 3.36*

This app has been down since Thursday you can’t book on it. I’ve sent emails and phone and no one seems to listen I’ve even sent a video of what happens when I try to use the app you need someone to look at this.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2026-07-28, version 4.27.1*

Downloaded this app when I saw the “fflecsi” logo on the side of a bus on holiday in Aberteifi. Would have loved to have used the service but I’ve absolutely no idea how to use the app. The fflecsi.wales website is next to useless and isn’t mobile responsive. Make this app and the fflecsi service beginner friendly and you’ll have more users and more chance of success. Until then, all of the service providers are missing a trick.

### 1/5 — Difficult

*2025-02-15, version 4.17.2*

Looking for a town bus into Haverfordwest on a Saturday I was directed to use Fflecsi as no scheduled buses. Impossible. It insists on setting a home address of its own devising, about 1/2 mile by road from where I set the marker, albeit close by across hedges, as the crow flies. No obvious way to delete and start again. And no destination in the town centre, Lidl was the closest. And until I have finished my shopping and appointments , I don’t know what time I will want to return, nor do I want to trek over to Lidl again. Not exactly Fflexible, is it? And NOT a replacement for a local bus service, no wonder that those that can use a car. Would give zero stars if I was able to

### 1/5 — Useless for Pembrokeshire

*2024-07-21, version 4.17.2*

Whatever I put it always says no device is available and I can’t schedule for a time I want to go. As another reviewer said “either I am doing something wrong or the app is no good”. How many people’s fault does it have to be for not understanding the app before they revise it and make it workable?

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2024-06-16, version 4.17*

Not an intuitive app in itself, and when trying to book a journey repeatedly told us no buses available at that time, but no suggestions as to whether it was the time, the place or both that was the problem. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Useless App

*2024-05-06, version 4.16.1*

This is a great concept, if only the app was user friendly and you were actually able to get somewhere with it, or it gave you an idea of where pick up points actually were. As it is, it’s pretty useless.

### 1/5 — Can never find a bus

*2024-03-19, version 4.11.13*

This is a joke. The app is very hard to use if you don’t happen to live exactly on a route. Then you can never book a bus. You have to guess an address where the bus ‘might’ stop and to date I have never actually been able to book a ride. Phoning fllecsi results in ‘we are very busy’ but seemingly not with any passengers. Come on, improve the app functionality and improve the ‘non-existent’ service.

### 1/5 — In(fflecsi)

*2023-11-06, version 4.11.13*

Tried to use in Pembrokeshire to book travel .

More or less every journey I tried to book I got the message ‘the bus is unavailable at this time or place ‘. Whether this was a short notice journey or a week or more away

Gave up in the end . Either I am doing something wrong or the buses are booked up long in advance.

Pointless having a fflecsi service if you can never get a ride . Just bring back timetabled services even a couple of times a day you could get on them .

### 1/5 — Jon

*2022-07-21, version 4.3*

The app is pretty poor

Took 40 minutes from Caerleon to Newport waiting for people who didn’t show

My next effort saw my bus fly past en route to a pick up point about 450m from my geo even though the driver pretended not to see me waving like mad as he went by

I cancelled the ride and saw the driver come, so flagged him, got on and paid then the driver told me to get off as I’d cancelled the ride

Worth the money to see how rude the driver was and to delete the app

### 1/5 — Impossible to get a ride

*2022-02-25, version 3.36*

I’ve had this app for a few months now and I’ve still yet to get my first ride. Whether I try booking something an hour in advance or even several days in advance, regardless of the time of day, I’m still met with same message “There’s a great Newport transport option to get you where you want to go”. Thank you for that, if I wanted to spend nearly an hour getting to work by bus then I’d simply walk as it takes the same amount of time to get there and I’d save myself 2 buses and the price of a day ticket! I see empty fflecsi buses driving empty past my house all the time, where are they going? And who is riding them?

### 1/5 — No longer works

*2021-12-07, version 3.36*

The app doesn’t work anymore. Will have to walk three miles home every day- can’t afford taxis all the time. 👎😢

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — No Problems

*2025-06-26, version 4.20.3*

No problems using the app to book bus. Sometimes can’t book one at short notice but hey you just have to be organised and book in advance. Great drivers.

### 5/5 — Great Service

*2025-06-12, version 4.20.3*

We’re walking the Pembrokeshire Coast path and the Fflecsi service has been invaluable, the booked bus has always arrived and we were kept updated on the progress / arrival time. Well done to all the drivers for always being cheerful / helpful and expertly managing very narrow roads👏

### 5/5 — Great driver

*2024-10-05, version 4.17.2*

Very helpful and friendly

### 5/5 — Dafydd

*2024-09-20, version 4.17.2*

This is a great public transport scheme for rural areas where service buses are few and far between.
A lifeline for those without access to a car, the elderly and young people.
Needs more advertising.

### 5/5 — Walk out, bus home.

*2024-07-23, version 4.17.2*

This was exactly what we needed- a bookable bus to cover the homeward leg of a walk along the Coastal Path. Everything on time, fabulously accommodating driver who dropped us exactly where we wanted! Perfect!

### 5/5 — Service

*2024-07-06, version 4.17.1*

Great service but App not the easiest to use…especially if your preferred time is fully booked.

### 5/5 — Great service in all ways.

*2024-07-02, version 4.17.1*

This was our first day of using Fflecsi and two journeys were perfect. The brilliant and comfortable new bus arrived on time at our pickup point. It was expertly driven by Wendy who kept the safety of passengers in mind. This is a first class service which we hope to use again. Well done TfW.

### 5/5 — So important…

*2024-06-25, version 4.17.1*

A great service for residents living in Cosheston and rural villages without a bus service. Used it for dental visit super drivers too….

### 5/5 — Chris

*2024-01-16, version 4.11.13*

Kevin is always pleasant and courteous and the service is second to none thank you

### 5/5 — Yukying Reed
