The hints weren’t great, and a couple times just got stuck so had to watch a you tube tutorial to figure out what to do. The game is presented quite dark, and I am red/green colour deficient so had missed a couple of red clues to spot. If the game was £1.99 I would have purchased it, but not £4.99! ### 3/5 — Glitchy *2023-04-12* Game is cool and I really wanted to love it, but it was so glitchy and was very inconsistent with letting me select things. Things in my inventory, things around the museum, I would have to exit out of the game and refresh it and then it would let me select something. It would only let me select things for a few minutes before glitching again and not letting me click anything or see anything or open anything. :( ### 4/5 — Eigentlich super, aber … *2022-05-20* leider ist bei mir im allerletzten Teil der Revolver nicht zu benutzen und ich sterbe :( Bis dahin hat alles reibungslos funktioniert. Aber beim letzten ‘Schach’ fings an, erst ein Absturz und dann das Revolver Ding. Ein bisschen enttäuschend, wenn man sich durch alle Räume durchgearbeitet hat. Very creative and extremely creepy. ### 5/5 — One of my all time favorites! *2021-11-05* If you love games like the Submachine series (unfortunately only PC), Rusty Lake’s Cube Escape series and Agent A, you’ll LOVE this game. The graphics, the game, puzzles and ‘travel’ between worlds. This one and MEMENTOES are my favorites. FIRST STEPS (the prequel) was fun, but it incorporates the full version of the 1st 3 games, which I had already played and paid for, so it was kind of boring to do it all over again (I played it 4th) just to play the new parts that connect the 3 games together. The new parts were fun, I just wish I knew I was playing FALL, SURGERY and PUPPETEER all over again. ### 3/5 — Help! I bought the full version of Disillusions and it is WELL WORTH the money. Есть реально сложные загадки. Кое где мне пришлось пользоваться подсказками и смотреть прохождения в Ютубе. Один косяк - в русской версии чат текста книг съезжает зав нижний край экрана и его невозможно прочитать. Поэтому я включил английскую версию. ### 5/5 — I only played the free part *2021-07-24* It was great. Really loved the introduction of the camera to give new perspectives on clues. Thought I had reached my limit and ran out of places to look before finally getting the camera and moving along nicely. Some of these puzzles are tricky as far as knowing what to do but I was able to figure it all out and finish the first (free) part within a few hours. Lots and lots of fun. Not gonna pay the $4.99 for the rest only because I don’t spend money on mobile games. I’ll probably go and download other games from this series/developer. ### 5/5 — Really good! *2021-07-10* I really enjoyed this game! Sucks that it’s not fully free, but I understand. Not too difficult, but not too easy either. Glad I didn’t have to watch ads when I needed hints. ### 5/5 — Excellent, and Long *2021-05-19* The Library is the first part of Forgotten Hill Disillusion. You play it for free and decide whether to unlock the rest of Disillusion. I paid the $4.99 for the unlock and it was well worth it. Ads were removed and hints were available for that price. (Note that this is not true of all FH games. I recently downloaded FH Fall, paid $1.99 to get rid of ads, then then discovered that I was still getting long ads when accessing hints. The developer wanted an additional $5.99 to remove the ads from hints! No sale there, and that game was very short to boot.) Game play here was very long. Some puzzles were obscure, but not impossible. You have to be observant. I liked the fact that, after giving you two hints to help you, the third hint completed the puzzle giving you a skip option. This was very helpful for the kind of puzzles where you are spinning rings, etc. Those drive me crazy and after I’ve been at it a while, I’m happy to throw in the towel. The camera was useful. The storyline was good. All in all, though it’s no House of DaVinci, and not quite as good as Rusty Lake Cube series, this was one of the better games I’ve played in a while. ### 5/5 — 잘 만들었어요 *2021-04-25* 세계관도 정교하고. 아트웍도 굿. 왜 리뷰가 적지? 이상해요. 다들 해보세요 ### 2/5 — Buggy a f *2021-04-14* While it is a challenging game, at the very end where you use the revolver to kill the guard, it’s not clear whether the revolver is automatically selected so you can shoot or if you have to select it manually and then shoot. I’ve tried it both ways, and neither works. Rather sick of dying repeatedly due to a bug. ### 5/5 — So worth getting the full version!!! *2021-04-08* I *NEVER* rate anything 5 stars, but this game earned it. I had doubts about unlocking the full version, but the depth was amazing, and the length was just right -not too long, not too short; it didn’t drag, and it didn’t leave me feeling empty. I got a better gameplay experience from this than I have on a lot of higher-cost games. I’m really finding myself reluctant to give any specific examples or anecdotes to back my review, but it’s because I don’t want to throw any spoilers out there. Uninstalling it and reinstalling it did not fix the issue and neither did syncing it after reinstalling it. Just visit the Options Menu by tapping the "gear" button and change Quality from HIGH to LOW. This will make graphics a bit lighter without changing the game experience. Then, I got as far as the plant room and it died. Every time. I tried everything, including deleting and reinstalling the game - which not only failed to work but failed to remember I’d already bought the game. Waste of money. **Developer response:** Hi there, if you uninstalled the game you need to press the "$" button in the Settings menu (reachable by the gear button) to restore your purchase. As for your issue in the plant room, have you tried changing Quality from High to Low? This usually solves performance issues without interfering with the game experience. Things work sometimes and other time no such luck. If I clear the game it works ok until a triggering event occurs. I tried removing it and reloading. Didn’t help. I find myself pained due to the developer decision to require divulgence of personal information. Hard to describe without spoilers, but I’ve been playing adventure/puzzle/escape games for decades, and this had a ton of situations and solutions I’d never seen before. Many of the challenges are interconnected, not just a linear series of separate puzzles based on timeworn templates. The interaction between two realities is key. Be warned, it is a horror game, and although the art is relatively cartoonish, it’s still horror. Great spooky atmosphere, puzzles range from easy to quite tricky. Loads of rooms to search & It’s great to have a hint function although I desperately try to avoid using. A notebook is worth using to note weird objects, symbols etc that might be relevant further along the game. The free play is quite long and NO ADS! but for me it’s definitely worth paying for the full game. I doesn’t just test your brain but also your courage to explore the space. 5$ is a very good bargain IMO. Highly recommend. For some data points: I believe my play time is > 20 hours. I got stuck and consulted walkthrough once through the entire game play (watching walkthrough because I didn’t see the question mark icon at that point!) It would be great to have a better hint system support - it works once when I hit the question mark (kinda accidentally) when I was in Flora’s Room, but the icon has no effect towards the end of the game.
