### 1/5 — they don’t care for their customers at all

*2018-06-26, version 1.2.18*

UPDATE YOUR APP YOU LAZY IDIOTS!
Incredible that you would allow your customers to go over two years without an update. We are trying to help you save the environment, and you punish us for it. This is totally unacceptable and honestly makes me never want to do business with fiat again.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2018-06-03, version 1.2.18*

A few months ago the app stopped opening. I’ve trying periodically redownloading over the last few months to see if the problem has been fixed, and it’s still not working.

### 1/5 — This app doesn’t work at all anymore

*2018-05-18, version 1.2.18*

The app immediately crashes whenever you open it 100% of the time, seriously guys, it’s time to update your app. I feel like I paid for something I’m not getting as being able to see the cars charge level remotely and starting the climate controls was something the sales guy pitched to me when I bought the car.

### 1/5 — Shuts down immediately

*2018-04-17, version 1.2.18*

While the app does have its problems, I’ve still used it successfully from time to time. However, currently when I open the app it just shuts down immediately. Now it is completely worthless.

### 1/5 — Grass root campaign needed to bring back app

*2018-04-01, version 1.2.18*

This application is not supported under OS 11 or better. FCA will refer you to the fact that they were only obligated to support for three years. I am calling to all who own one of these one of a kind EVs to request a subscription based service to continue support. This would help provide staff to develop and support application. Let’s make owning a 500e great again!

### 1/5 — App on letting me open it 😤

*2018-03-27, version 1.2.18*

I am so mad at Fiat honestly a waist of money. This app was one of the only good things about this car since it’s so basic. Thank god my lease is ending never buying a car from Fiat Chrysler or Jeep there so cheap. And I know I’m not the only out there that feels the same way. Oh yeah and service station are closing everywhere. The dealerships that sold me my car was gone after the first month and the only dealership is now farther than my car can go. Livid. 2 weeks left Thank God

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work iOS 11

*2018-03-02, version 1.2.18*

The app stopped working once the new iOS came out. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled to try to get it to work but every time I re-download and try to open the app, it crashes immediately. When the app is working, it’s great. Fiat, please fix!

### 1/5 — Loved it before iOS 11

*2018-02-21, version 1.2.18*

When the app could still launch, it was great! But ever since one of the latest iOS updates, it won’t even start to launch. The app hasn’t been updated in years, and it’s has done surprisingly well until now. I’ve tried it on multiple phone running the same versions, and neither works. Read on for all the positives it used to have…

Yes, I occasionally had to re-enter my credentials on the thing if I hadn’t used it in a few months, but that is a relatively minor issue IMHO.

Here are my top 5 features of this app:

1) Turning on my car’s climate control remotely, to make my drive home more comfortable.
2) Topping-off, or adding a little more charge to the car while parked at work just to be sure I make it home - charging at work can be expensive, and sometime I just need 30min of charging to get me where I need to be.
3) Changing (or enabling/disabling) the charge schedule - the on-dash version is ok, but it’s so much nicer to do it while away from the car, at any convenient time.
4) Locking the car when I’m not sure if I locked it or not - plus it’s the not way of locking the doors without the annoying honk.
5) Reviewing the mileage logs while at my desk - I lease the car, so it’s convenient to review my usage while in front of my spreadsheet.

### 1/5 — Was okay... until a few months ago

*2018-02-16, version 1.2.18*

So, it wasn’t the best in terms of function but it was at least usable. I used it a lot to over ride my charging schedule. But now, the app won’t even launch. And it’s not a problem localized to my phone. I’ve asked other people as well

### 1/5 — No stars if the app doesn’t even launch.

*2018-02-03, version 1.2.18*

This app was iffy at best even when it did work. It would lose my login info without warning, and the remote lock/unlock/preconditioning functions only worked ONCE in the three years I used it.

The only good thing about it was that I could check my range and charging status. Now it doesn’t even launch. The Fiat badge screen appears and then fades back to my home screen.

I shouldn’t be surprised since the app hasn’t been updated in what, three years now?!

I love my Fiat 500e, too bad Chrysler/Fiat doesn’t seem to enough to update it or its supporting app.

### 1/5 — Crashes with 11.2.2

*2018-01-16, version 1.2.18*

FIAT access was always a bit buggy and flaky but at least it mostly worked most of the time. But after the most recent iOS update the app starts and then just fades out before even asking for login credentials.

Fortunately the 500e itself is doing much better.

### 1/5 — App no longer works

*2018-01-03, version 1.2.18*

The app was working despite being a little buggy, but now the app won’t even open on my iPhone even after I redownloaded the app. Judging by the other reviews, it doesn’t seem likely that they will fix this. Disappointed to say the least since I’ve driving my Fiat 500e for less than a year.

### 1/5 — Useless, done with Fiat

*2017-12-30, version 1.2.18*

This app has been frustrating since the beginning, but eventually I got used to the quirks and was able to use it to check the level of charge.

Now I can’t do that anymore. It worked for a few weeks after on my iPhone X, but for the last 3 days it crashes as soon as I start it. Deleting it and reinstalling it doesn’t fix it either.

App hasn’t been updated in 2 years, they obviously don’t think it matters to their customers. End of lease is in 11 months, that’s the last Fiat or Chrysler car that I get.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2017-12-21, version 1.2.18*

Most useless piece of software ever. Now it just crashes when you open it. Doesn’t remember login. Chrysler, pretty sure us tax payers bailed you out of the mess you put yourself in. Don’t let history repeat itself. Fix this POS. It only hurts your brand. You’re trying to get people to buy a $30K+ vehicle which has zero infotainment system and expect this to fill the void as a “somewhat” replacement. Moronic on so many levels.

### 1/5 — App won’t even open

*2017-12-20, version 1.2.18*

The app just crashes over and over and I haven’t been able to open it in 2 weeks. The car says I have 83 miles when I leave in the morning, my office is 14 miles away but somehow I only have 29 miles left to get home.

### 1/5 — Only lasts 36 months from original purchase date

*2017-05-22, version 1.2.18*

If your Fiat 500e is older than 3 years, this app won't work for you. Fiat Access, the system that lets you do remote functions like scheduling charges for your battery, unlocking doors, and remote ignition, only lasts 36 months from the date of retail sale. Customer support said this is because the system was built on 2g cellular network and they can't/ don't want to support it beyond the three years. They have no plans to extend this service.

This is very disappointing. I bought a used 2013 fiat 500e and have no way to access any of the great features the app would allow. The main one I was interested in was being able to schedule charges for the middle of the night when electricity rates are lower. But it would have been nice to check tire psi and battery charge remotely as well. Pretty frustrating given that the cars will theoretically last much longer than 3 years.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t even open on iPhone

*2020-06-07, version 1.2.18*

What’s the point of having a WiFi connected electric car if the app won’t even work on your phone? I’ve downloaded the app multiple times and it has never once loaded. It crashes every time before I can even see its first page.

Also, the app hasn’t been updated in 4 years!!! Does anyone even work in that department?

### 1/5 — Broken program

*2019-05-03, version 1.2.18*

I’ve tried it on two iPhones... it loads the splash screen but when it fades to the primary display the app disappears 👎
Double pressing the home button shows the app still running, but every time I select it the same disappearing trick happens.

### 1/5 — Crashes immediately. Total junk!

*2019-04-02, version 1.2.18*

This app is a great reminder about Fiats capabilities on the software side. Completely useless and will not even load on a reasonably modern (<3y old) iPhone. Last update is eons ago. I am under the strong believe the company does not even know of the app and the intern who wrote it left with the deployment keys. Let’s just hope the car works better (knocking on wood right now).

### 1/5 — Has NEVER even opened

*2019-02-15, version 1.2.18*

Ok I know the head of Chrysler hates the 500e and is only being forced to make them. But then, don’t make an app for us. I’d be fine if there wasn’t an app. I wish I never knew this even existed...I’d be fine. I don’t need it. But I do know. And it’s is an app made by Chrysler/Fiat. So It seemed like a fun unexpected perk to entering the EV world. So I registered and jumped through all the hoops to get started and the app won’t even open. It has NEVER opened. It jumps to the Fiat logo screening then immediately crashes. Every time. Deleted and reinstalled multiple times. Same thing. I’m running latest iOS on iPhone X. Fiat Access App hasn’t been updated in 3 years! Fix it or simply remove all existence of it from the web. Just stop dangling it in front of us and then be like “jk” when we try to use it. K I’m finished.
I love my car.

### 1/5 — Can’t even open the app

*2019-01-27, version 1.2.18*

When I first got my 500e, this app was handy. Yes, it never remembered my login even though I asked it to keep me logged in, but eh, it still unlocked my car and told me how much juice was in the battery. Ironic that I’m returning my lease today, and the app won’t even open to let me check the charge amount. A totally useless app and, at the end of the day, a totally useless car. Fiat may focus on Europe for sales, and Americans may be obsessed with connectivity and their devices, but the fact that it’s 2019 and a car company isn’t embracing technology with its vehicles is appalling.

### 1/5 — Get Woke Fiat/Chrysler

*2018-11-13, version 1.2.18*

Crashes every time. It’s almost necessary to have some app monitor where your car is at in the charging process. This should be updated!! I’m sure you could pay someone $5000 or one Fiat to get it working again. These cars aren’t disappearing and no one will want them if they don’t even have BASIC electric car features.

### 1/5 — Crashes on iOS 12 and iPhone 7 Plus

*2018-10-20, version 1.2.18*

We bought a 2014 Fiat 500e and were looking forward to using the app.

Too bad it won’t even launch. That’s a shame. Spend a few bucks and update and have happy owners vs leave this crap app on instead and upset owners.

### 1/5 — Please come out with a new app for FIAT

*2018-10-18, version 1.2.18*

This App is absolute garbage! It never opens and has not been updated in three years! Don’t download this app it will never work. When I got it to open it keeps making you sign in again and again. None of the functions work on it either. Those pictures showing to unlock your car never worked! 0/10 I wish I can give it Zero stars.

### 1/5 — Does not open now “FAIL”

*2018-07-11, version 1.2.18*

Have had and used this app for over two years now. Works great!
*update Feb 2018
They “fixed” the app that wasn’t broken and now it won’t open.
* July 2018 - a couple of months away from end of lease... will not renew or get another FIAT if this is how they treat customers.

### 1/5 — Piece of crap just like the car

*2018-07-09, version 1.2.18*

The app had worked for me for a few months and now it will not open. It displays the title screen and crashes right away. It’s crap! What’s the point of having a car that can have its ac turn on remotely when there’s no app that works? I’d return the car if I could.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Uconnect Access is the new app!!!

*2018-04-25, version 1.2.18*

I don’t know why this app is still in the App Store - it’s not supported anymore and has been replaced with a new app called Uconnect Access
5 stars only so it sticks out..

### 5/5 — Works for Me

*2015-12-19, version 1.2.18*

I’m able to see the current charge and turn on/off climate control remotely, even miles away.
Off label use: When I come home late I use the app to silently lock the car because for some reason the horn can’t be disabled when I use the key fob to lock the 500e.

### 5/5 — This is a must have for 500e owners!

*2015-10-02, version 1.2.18*

This app is incredible! It is so much easier to set up the charging schedule in the app versus in the car. I love the ability to see at a glance if the car is charging and the range and battery level from anywhere there's a cellular connection. Also the ability to see the range on a map and every charging station within range on the map is invaluable. I also like being able to turn on the a/c remotely. This app works flawlessly for me on my iPhone 5s. Great addition to the car! I check the location and status of the car several times a day, works every time, even when I'm 50 miles from the car.

### 4/5 — Works as well as the underlying service

*2017-01-14, version 1.2.18*

The app itself is smooth and polished. Works great on my iPhone 6S. What people may miss when rating this app is that the app is *not* a video game. The underlying service sending messages to the car has a lag of about 5 minutes, which is not great but if you're mindful of it you'll get a lot from this feature on your Fiat.

### 3/5 — iPhone X support?

*2018-01-05, version 1.2.18*

I used this app to check on my charging status and start my climate control. It didn’t always connect with my car and only worked intermittently.
About 2 weeks ago, it stopped working entirely. I’m not sure if this is just on the latest iOS or just with the iphoneX. I don’t expect it will be fixed but adding this as another datapoint for those out there facing similar issues.

### 3/5 — Was SO useful but now only crashes

*2017-12-10, version 1.2.18*

Used this app constantly to check charge status and precondition the car in hot/cold weather. Still working on my iPad with iOS 10. Need a compatibility update for iOS 11 please! I know Dodge/Fiat loses money on and hates the 500E’s but paying customers still have them and need to use them. Please update the app!

### 3/5 — What happened

*2015-09-24, version 1.2.18*

My app does good but no info from my 500e. Will not tell me if I have a charge , but I know where the charging station are. I am in Lodi cal. Does anybody in Lodi have this problem? It stop working Friday March 6. Now it says it timeout can't get latest info.

### 2/5 — This app was great.... until recently

*2018-01-14, version 1.2.18*

We got our Fiat 500e at the end of November and loved having the app to check the level of charge and remotely turn on the climate control.... until recently. I can’t even get the app to open any more, it just crashes upon start up and by the looks of things, the developers of the app have no intention of sending out an update or fixing the problem which is such a bummer and real lack of caring on FCA’s part. Remember, the 500es make it possible for the Rams, Jeeps and gas guzzling Chargers and challengers to be sold in California and Oregon!! Don’t forget about us!

### 2/5 — 50% Functional

*2017-02-16, version 1.2.18*

this app is about 50% functional. You can check the charging status of your car remotely, which is handy. however, other functions, like notifications when your car stops charging, don't save. Also, The app does not remember your login, even if you check the box for it to do so, which can be annoying. Other remote commands, like remote unlock or remote a/c activation, don't work sometimes. The app has not been updated in a while.

### 2/5 — Not sure what happened

*2017-01-03, version 1.2.18*

This was a decent app that did a few usable remote tasks like door lock and battery status but since December 2016 the service stopped updating.

Please fix! This only needs the few services it has to be useful.
