### 2/5 — Ugly, clunky, poor layout, poor effort

*2021-11-22, version 2.28.1*

Legacy app that hasn’t been updated for a while. It does work most of the time to do the basic tasks required of it but still has bugs. It’s an ugly app for sure with minimal attention to the user experience. Going into this app to do things is a chore with zero ‘delight’ factor for the end user.
Fibaro just relying on (mostly) decent hardware and coming in pathetically sub par on the software front.

### 3/5 — Needs updates!

*2021-04-22, version 2.28.1*

Apps like this need much more development, the UI is old , there’s still bugs in the app , the updates aren’t as frequent as they should be , the potential is there , it just needs more funding

### 2/5 — Great idea, not great execution.

*2018-12-27, version 2.24.1*

Update December 2018.

The fibaro system is good but they oversell the system when infact it's unreliable, highly complex to setup and not always logical to use, let alone program.

The app misses simple features which would make it so much more user friendly. Quick switching between multiple home centres. They responded to this with "it's only a few pushed away" but truthfully it's many more. If I last left the app in a room in my house I'm hitting "back", "back" "settings", "choose HC" "other HC" and if I'm lucky and it actually connects to the HC I've asked it to, then I've a few more pushes to get to the controls for the new HC.

Customisable switch panels like my previous software "indigo" were great. Fibaro doesn't easily let you create these. Being able to see a timer for "sensor last breached" was useful until they removed it. The ability to restart a crashed hc2 from the app would be good.

Mostly for the App I'd appreciate quick switching from one HC to another and immediate controls for light settings or scenes. It's a faff with this app.

I don't trust fibaro to produce updates that work first time so I rarely update immediately.

I think the fibaro team are great, but every update has flaws and it feels like we're still in beta most of the time.

### 2/5 — Update has ruined it

*2018-11-28, version 2.24.1*

The app is good, when it works. But the update one week ago has led to inability to access it. Don’t they test it?

There is no reply to email sent to “contact us” email on their website.

What’s the point of spending tens of thousands of dollars?!

### 3/5 — Waiting for Shortcuts support

*2018-10-28, version 2.24.1*

The app has been improved recently but please add Shortcuts support

### 2/5 — Good But SLOW!

*2018-09-10, version 2.23.1*

It’s a pretty good app does everything it needs to do. However it takes forever to login even with ‘Keep Awake’ & ‘Connect with the controller in the local network first’ selected. If that was sorted then I wouldn’t have any complaints.

### 1/5 — Collapse

*2018-07-11, version 2.23.1*

Used to work well, but now every time you want to use it you have to login – twice! I do not want to have to spend five minutes just to turn on a light. This makes the whole expensive Figaro system pretty useless.

Please correct.

UPDATE

Well it’s now stopped working altogether. Does not allow you even to log in. So sad: used to work well. This was expensive hardware & now completely useless. Please do not make my mistake: avoid Fibaro and buy something better supported and more reliable.

Oh and BTW deleting and reinstalling the app makes no difference...

### 1/5 — Old and tired and now makes me login twice

*2018-06-27, version 2.23.1*

App is old and tired. As an added bonus,it is now making me login twice every day: once with the Fibaro id and then again with a separate login to the HC. Awesome stuff Fibaro. Keep up the good work...

### 3/5 — iPhone X support

*2018-06-26, version 2.23.1*

Hi guys, this app is okay but when will the support for iPhone X come? Thanks!

### 1/5 — Notification alarm does not work

*2018-06-24, version 2.23.0*

I have a door sensor and when is armed the alarm the only way to see if there is any message is to open the app. Very bad given this kind of notification should pop up even if the app is off, otherwise where is it the advantage? Bad design of the app, it looks like old and a bit too much constructed.
Hope really they can improve ASAP on these details!

### 1/5 — iPhone X

*2018-06-06, version 2.23.0*

App is great but I can’t believe there is no support for iPhone X.

### 4/5 — Crashes all the time - Resolved!

*2018-05-08, version 2.22.1*

This version crashes on launch every time

Edit;
Thanks to the prompt support, the problem with the app crashing has been resolved 👍

Edit;
For 5 stars, I’d love to control lights from the watch without using scenes.

### 1/5 — Big rubbish

*2018-04-28, version 2.22.1*

I regret installing this into my air bnb
I cannot remotely connect. It was on and now I can’t access. Oh well looks like another hours drive for me ☹️

### 1/5 — No iPhone X support

*2018-04-26, version 2.22.1*

Come on guys. Time to update you app for iPhone 10. !!!!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — One of the worse apps to use

*2023-09-14, version 2.28.1*

The ui is old, outdated, and unintuitive. All that can be forgiven, but the app has the worse reliability I have ever seen. Sometimes it works, and sometimes the app just refuses to even connect to the main server. Certain commands are buggy and unreliable, sometimes working and sometimes not.

### 1/5 — It could be so much better.

*2019-08-27, version 2.26.0*

I used to love my Fibaro system. I bought over 50 modules for my HC2. But the plugins and the iOS app, plus an almost non-existent tech support, made me want to move away from Fibaro. The app is loading too slow, you can only have widgets for scenes, and some important modules don’t even show up. For example, it shows almost every unusefull info from a Qubino Power Meter, but it doesn’t show the most important thing: consumption. And it’s been like that for years...

Also, the notification system. For example now i have more than 10 notifications, that even show in the bubble over the app. But if i start the app, it shows me 0 notifications...

And the worst thing: it show different values than the web version of Fibaro. That’s very bad!

### 1/5 — Good idea, poor execution

*2019-02-16, version 2.25.0*

When you go to a website you love the fibaro ideas and the entire ecosystem seems amazing. It’s just the surface.

After being installed you start noticing all bugs, how slow it is how it disconnects or freezes all the time.

 Not recommended.

### 1/5 — Titles are switched

*2018-11-15, version 2.24.1*

Developers: you have the title is labeled incorrectly on the apps. You have the HomeKit labeled which should be the iPhone app. Any iPhone app is labeled for the HomeKit.

### 1/5 — Awful UI

*2018-09-28, version 2.24.1*

The UI is impossibly low contrast with small text and small icons.
No automation is offered.
A beta release at best.

### 1/5 — Disappointing and Frustrating!!

*2018-09-15, version 2.23.1*

It’s disappointing that with the change in Technology, The Fibaro Team have not been able to keep up.
Unfortunately they have released ‘security’ features which have now made the App logout of both Fibaro Cloud and my Home Centre 2 at least twice a week!!!
I use an iPhone X, Apple Watch and iPad Pros with the Fibaro Apps and am progressively wishing I had of got a Vera Unit.
It makes controlling your house extremely difficult not to mention, every time it does this you have to reset your privacy settings to allow the app to work (with limits) on Apple Watch and in the Widgets.
Make your software work, please!!!
Fibaro Developers must be dreaming when they talk about their supposed workaround as it doesn’t fix the problem!

### 1/5 — Losing credentials every other day

*2018-08-30, version 2.23.1*

Since the last update, the app loses your credential every other day. So you have to login again just to access your HC2, which means login in first with Fibaro ID and then login into my HC2 with those credentials. Ok for a few days and then low and behold all credentials and app settings gone. A thread on the forum shows other users having the same issue and no help from Fibaro. Maybe time to move over to Vera and sell my HC2.

(Update - 30/8/2018) after trying the solution given, it worked all for about 4 days and now back to the same issue of still losing credentials. This is infuriating and I’ve now started to use a third party app that stays logged in. The app is absolutely useless in its current state.

### 1/5 — Slow and forgets login

*2018-08-17, version 2.23.1*

Constantly forgets login and you need to sign in twice to turn on a light.

Unreliable, fibaro is a joke.

Also very slow when not on same lan

### 1/5 — iphone app doesn’t work anymore

*2018-08-17, version 2.23.1*

All good and working fine even when you are away in another country I was able to fiddle with my lights at home. suddenly about 4 months ago app seems to forget my login and prompt every time to enter login details. things got worse recently I have to delete the app and reinstall everytime I want to switch my lights off.. I can’t do this everytime and it’s so inconvenient I left the lights run on daytime costing me a lot of money on electrics.

I am so frustrated because all my new build has fibaro built in.. I hope this company is not in blink of collapse and they will do something about this..

not sure why they taking ages to test and certify the smoke detector ...

another frustrated and angry customer

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work locally

*2018-08-08, version 2.23.1*

Won’t allow login to HC2 on local network. Requires Fibaro ID which can only be granted to one person. So everyone else in my home can’t use the system.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — New version crashes before opening

*2018-10-22, version 2.24.1*

Very poor

Update

New Version fixes the issues of crashing and loss of credentials. It’s now possible to use the app reliably enough to unlock the power of the HC2

### 5/5 — Brent

*2018-06-28, version 2.23.1*

I second iPhone X support, also easier login

### 5/5 — Works Great

*2018-06-05, version 2.23.0*

Works great , keep up the great work !!

### 5/5 — No access from iPhone 😩😡🤯(now sorted)

*2018-04-25, version 2.22.0*

To follow on from my updated review yesterday. I painfully restored my phone from the ICloud to get a previous backup on it. Accessed Fibaro app, all ok. So based on this, deleted the app and then downloaded again. Logged to ID, and back up and running all ok👍🏼👍🏼. Back to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

PS. I have left the comments below in case they help. PPS. If anyone else experiences this too try deleting the app first rather than the iCloud stuff as it is really time consuming.😩.

Have been using Fibaro and the app for several years with no issues at all. The app has been great......except for today where I now have no access to my HCL.

The app auto updated today from version 2.21.0 which was working fine to version 2.22.0. I now have no access local (wi-fi) or away (3/4G).

So no home control anymore which I use everyday from my phone.

Not happy. Please fix.

PS: it works fine from my IPad.

### 5/5 — Love new GUI

*2017-08-05, version 2.17.0*

The app is awesome and the GUI is great

### 5/5 — Excellent System

*2012-12-21, version 1.4*

I started using the Fibaro system when it was first released. It has developed really well since those early days and is a terrific system. The Fibaro guys really seem to know what they are doing, with some excellent z-wave devices as well as far and away the best and most beautifully designed controller and software interface.

### 5/5 — Automação Residencial

*2012-08-03, version 1.3*

O sistema Fibaro permite controle da casa ou empresa pelo iPhone, de forma simples e inteligente. A função de localização por GPS é incrível, posso preparar a casa antes de eu chegar do trabalho! Muito fácil de instalar! Recomendo. TOP

### 5/5 — Great!

*2012-07-09, version 1.2*

Needs the top-navigation (back button) being put on the left hand side as per the iOS convention, and it would be better if it didn't obscure the top title bar of the iPhone (so you could see the time and battery level whilst using the app).

Other than that it's great!

Would be good to see floor plans integrated in to HC2 at some point...

### 4/5 — Pretty good overall

*2019-10-09, version 2.27.0*

The only thing I’d add is Siri shortcut compatibility

### 4/5 — Needs work but still useful

*2018-08-02, version 2.23.1*

The app has the right intentions; easy access to your fibaro controlled devices. However it would be great if it stayed logged in and didn't have to 'load' everytime you open it. I am finding turning devices on and off by the app more time consuming then getting up and powering the device manually. This is because the current process requires you to open the app, wait up to 10 seconds for the app to discover and login. Then you have to browse through your devices. Find your device. All before you get to do anything with it.

Furthermore, this latest patch auto logs you out every few days and is making the app experience very poor.

I am hoping Fibaro go back to the drawing board with this and focus on delivering an unparalleled user experience (core to this would be a new interface and faster, possibly automated login/load).
