However, even after paying $45+ for a 3 month subscription just a few days ago, there is still an undisclosed requirement to “purchase” chapters with points that have to be bought with real money. So, what was that subscription for? I am cancelling my subscription and will just have to imagine how this story ends. ### 2/5 — My personal opinion *2026-08-16, version 1.149.0* There are really good books on this app, js minor problems that build up. For instance you have to pay for every chapter not every other chapter. A solution for that is they give you a free chapter every hour. Thats where the problem begins. The free chapter is great but I don’t like the fact that the deeper you get in the book, the higher it cost to unlock. Then once you get so far the free chapters stop so you rely on the ads but you only get like 4/5 chapters. The free tickets help but with the chapters going up by 5s it gets really hard to enjoy the book you’re reading. My suggestion would be to just have all the chapters cost the same amount from the beginning, because it don’t seem worth it once you realize it just keeps getting more expensive. Taking away the free chapters every hour isn’t terrible, because you can rely on the ads but at least take off the limit of ads. ### 2/5 — Recurring payments *2026-08-15, version 1.149.0* I’ve been having recurring payments when I’m not paying for a subscription ### 3/5 — No worth it *2026-08-11* I paid for the monthly subscription just to tell me that isn’t valid for all the books. Paid my $20 US and after sucking me in to a great story every chapter after 68 requires payment, ad watching it an hour wait. Don’t waste your money! Little complaints on content, etc. however, only options to purchase coins is PayPal or card. I would like to be able to utilize the App Store for these purchases as is the case with many other reading apps. ### 3/5 — Still unsure *2026-08-04, version 1.147.0* The app seems to work well overall since I have only been using it for a couple of weeks. I will say the prices are high and not ideal for true reading. This makes it difficult to remain interested in the content. ### 3/5 — Misleading with subscriptions. Essentially paid $28 for nothing thinking I could finish my book. *2026-07-29* I am really enjoying the story I followed from Facebook. Even bought some coins checked to see how many I’d need to finish and ready $49 so instead I think well I may as well buy a subscription it’s a better deal. Only it’s not. It tells you how many coins you need to complete a story and then your coins run out before you finish the story prompting you to buy more. This app is a con and I would definitely not recommend it. ### 2/5 — Misleading *2026-07-26, version 1.146.0* I have a few complaints here and there. But overall the app has been working well. It’s definitely overpriced for the quality of book, but the ads work and the hourly countdown has worked relatively fine. My biggest problem is that I paid for 2 memberships, assuming that one was a one-time payment. I’ve been trying to cancel but it’s nowhere on any of my settings. It clearly states that I can cancel whenever, but there isn’t anywhere on the app or my device settings that lets me. Even when I clicked delete account I still got charged. When I reached out to their support email over a week ago, they still haven’t replied. If you download this I highly recommend not paying for the memberships as the benefits are not worth the hassle. ### 1/5 — Money grab *2026-07-24, version 1.146.0* Short chapters, that feel like they get shorter the longer the book so you have to pay more. Apparently it’s a renew feature and even though it says you can cancel through the settings there isn’t an option! I got to chapter 89 in one book for free before it wouldn’t let me read anymore and it dropped the one free chapter per hour too. I’ve deleted my account but it will not stop charging me. There is no cancel subscription option period!! I’ve emailed customer support but nothing this far. This is really unsettling and I won’t be trying out these types of adds any further.. If I am charged again, I will dispute it with my credit card company. Also, books are crazy expensive. I was never able to get the app to even load so I could log in. So I deleted my account via the website. And then received a new bank charge AFTER my account was deleted. I emailed the listed support email, and the email flagged as undeliverable. Guess I’ll be canceling my debit card and getting it replaced. ### 1/5 — Its a scam *2026-07-29, version 1.147.0* Do not use this app, they will make you buy coins then you are stuck with a subscription that you are unable to cancel. If I do not get a response I will have to file fraud charges. I did not sign up for a reoccurring payment but I guess it’s buried in the top off I bought. Again do not use this app no easy way to contact customer service unless you dig for the email and no subscriptions are listed on your accounts but they still charge you. Purchased what said was enough coins to finish a book with the listed bonuses for first time use. Halfway through it told me I needed another 3000+ coins to finish. I was reading “You Rejected a Silver Wolf” and loving the story. Until I got to chapter 108. Now there are no more free chapters and you have to become a member to read more. Like a lot of us, I’m not able to pay to read books when I could spend that money on something I need. If you can afford it, just do it from the beginning. Otherwise, don’t waste your time reading half a book. Libraries are still open and lending books for free, or you could start a community book swapping club.
