## What is Fiducia Talk?

Fiducia Talk is a talking board: tap a card, or spell a word, and the device says it out loud. It opens straight onto the board, with no account, no setup and no internet connection.

FREE, AND NOT A TRIAL
The whole board is free — all 308 cards, all three keyboards, and switch-access scanning. Communication and free speech are a basic human right and should not be for profit. There is nothing to buy inside this app.

NOTHING LEAVES THE DEVICE
Talk has no server. It makes no network request, holds no account, and cannot see what you say. Sentences are spoken by the voices already on your iPhone or iPad, so it works with no signal — on a plane, in a hospital corridor, anywhere.

THREE WAYS TO TALK
Pictures — 308 symbol cards in everyday categories, with the sentence you are building along the top.
Sounds — a phonics keyboard for putting a word together from the sounds in it.
Big Keys — large, well-spaced letters for anyone who finds a standard keyboard hard to hit.

SPEAKS MORE THAN 35 LANGUAGES
Choose the language the board speaks, from Arabic to Welsh and Thai to Cantonese, including regional English, Brazilian Portuguese, Canadian French, and the Geordie and Lancashire dialects. Every card shows and speaks its word in that language, in a matching voice on your device.
Travelling, or learning? Turn on "Show my words too" and each card also shows your own word and how to say it, and "Slowly" plays the message again at a pace you can repeat. Ask for what you need, and learn the words as you go.

BUILT FOR SWITCH ACCESS
Row-and-column scanning is included, free, because for somebody who cannot tap a screen, scanning is not an extra: it is how they talk at all.

YOUR OWN CARDS
Add a card with your own picture and your own words, and it is on the board the next time you open it.

THANK YOU TO OUR CONTRIBUTORS
Talk improves because the people who use it tell us what they need. Two recent changes came straight from your feedback:
• K. Damian suggested the cards along the top of the board should slide rather than stay still. We agreed, and now they do. Thank you.
• C. Latham asked whether Talk could help them ask for what they need in Thai on their next trip to Thailand. It can now: the board speaks Thai and shows how to say every word. A brilliant suggestion.

HAVE AN IDEA, OR SPOTTED A MISTAKE?
We would love to hear from you. Humans, like AI, make mistakes, so if a word looks wrong in any language, tell us and we'll look into fixing it straight away. Email devteam@fiduciatogether.uk, or tap "Let us know" in the board's language settings.

BUILT BY FIDUCIA TOGETHER
Talk is the free tier of the Fiducia suite for care and support organisations. No analytics, no ad network, no tracking, no data collection of any kind. The wellbeing tools live in Fiducia Life — see fiduciatogether.uk.
