## What is Field Tone?

FieldTone is an experimental field monitor that turns the iPhone's microphone and motion sensors into responsive visual and sonic displays.

Watch live acoustic energy, movement, and magnetic field changes through multiple views built for exploration:

- Live signal meters for sound, motion, and magnetic activity
- A TV-style video display driven by input patterns
- Timeline charts for seeing how each input changes over time
- Analog-style gauges for quick readings
- A waterfall display inspired by software-defined radio screens
- Record and replay sessions to review changing input patterns
- Calibration controls for resetting the current field baseline

FieldTone is designed for curiosity, field experiments, ambient monitoring, and creative sonification. It does not require an account and keeps the experience focused on the device in your hand.
