## What is FieldForge for Contractors?

FieldForge turns your voice into a finished invoice. Built for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, garage door, and pool pros who would rather fix things than type on a phone.

Say the job out loud: who it was for, what you did, the parts and the hours. FieldForge writes the invoice, prices parts from your own price book, adds your labor rate and tax, and texts or emails the customer a professional PDF with a pay-by-card link.

This build adds background location for one feature: while a technician is clocked in and has consented, the app shares their location with their own company so customers can see an accurate on-my-way ETA and the company can log job check-ins. Location is collected only while the employee is clocked in and stops the moment they clock out. It is opt-in per device via a one-time consent prompt and can be turned off by the company owner in Settings. No location data is sold or shared with third parties.
