I’ll be going through the app and it’ll crash and then I have to uninstall the app and download it again and it’ll be fixed for a while. Could go for less crashing, but I absolutely love the app and how it allows me to manage my fields. ### 4/5 — A Must-Have App for Modern, Regenerative Farmers *2025-05-04, version 11.2.0* We’ve been using Fieldmargin at Brow Farm to manage everything from spraying records to cover crop planning and livestock movement. It’s intuitive, quick to learn, and works brilliantly in the field—even when offline. The mobile app makes it easy to log jobs while I’m out on the tractor, and I love being able to take photos and pin them directly to a field. Having a visual map of the farm that updates in real time has really helped streamline day-to-day decision-making and improve communication across the team. The input tracking tools are simple yet powerful. It’s made our record-keeping for compliance much easier, especially with foliar feed applications and spray jobs. I also appreciate the historical satellite imagery and the ability to plan out tasks clearly for the season. Fieldmargin isn’t bloated like some other software—it does exactly what you need, without unnecessary extras. It’s particularly helpful for farmers like me who are adopting regenerative practices and want a clearer picture of what’s happening across diverse field types. Basic things such as not being able to leave a gate open between two paddocks, unclear paddock boundaries. Would be good if paddock lit up with the year colour of the stock that was in it. Please could you get in touch at support@fieldmargin.com so we can help you with this? ### 5/5 — Perfect for Smallholder Farmers *2023-07-29* After extensively looking at software and apps for my 15-acre farm, I was relieved to find an affordable solution my whole team could use to digitize our records, visually map our scouting efforts, and automagically export crop input reports. Even with one crop, I was losing oversight control in a sea of spreadsheets given all the different growing cycles I was overseeing while having a day job elsewhere. Now my staff can tag issues as they arise, attach photos to them, and I can forward them onto the right specialist instantly. This app has greatly reduced both our communication needs and general anxiety all while getting us prepared for easier GAP and GRASP audits. Most importantly, I can now finally see remotely what interventions are needed (and why), monitor my staffs activities, and overall spend much less time on things that drain my energy. If you’re looking for a place to start, this is it. ### 2/5 — Great app *2023-07-26, version 10.4.1* Love the app but wish it wasn’t so expensive me being a lot smaller farmer it’s money that I can’t spend, it would be a lot better if the free version allowed you to have a lot more herds of livestock available to place on you farm one is just not enough and makes it point less for me to use 10 to 15 would be the best or even 5 to 10 would be great, beside that great app I wish I could use it more if it wasn’t so expensive or if you upgraded the free version a bit ### 5/5 — Mik *2023-06-04, version 10.3.4* We have a sheep and cropping enterprise and use fieldmargins to record stock movements and numbers. In our cropping enterprise we use fieldmargins to record our crop rotations and spray applications. We have found it a great app that all of our employees use and keep records up to date. Been doing this since the day I downloaded it. App has been updated and still crashes. Use the other apps available instead of wasting your time with this joke of an app **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Best regards, fieldmargin ### 1/5 — Greedy Developers *2024-07-21, version 10.14.0* Deleted a field so I could change the boundaries but now have to pay to put it back it because of the 5000 acre limit. Had it set up before the they got money hungry like all apps. ### 1/5 — Virtually useless. *2024-07-05, version 10.13.4* Started off well. Had about half of the fields outlined, then app started crashing. Impossible to finish off field entry now. ### 1/5 — Crash crash crash *2024-04-04* Was gonna try it out on the free version this spring and when adding in the fields it would just crash and lose all progress. I think the app would be very helpful if it would work but it’s very frustrating when all it does is crash. Maybe this is just my phone or something with the free version but I’m not going to invest money into it if all it’s gonna do is crash and not work. Very disappointing. We have some additional base map options there which may have been updated more recently. We use external providers for the satellite imagery on our basemap so we don't have control over when this is updated. If you need more regular imagery for crop monitoring you could try Field Health which has 10m resolution satellite imagery with NDVI analysis. This is updated on average once per week but it depends on cloud coverage. Waste of time doing all that work just to lose it over and over again!! ### 1/5 — Price is ridiculous *2022-10-12, version 9.6.0* To have one farm at on a medium plan to access all features apart from 2 features is $550. Maybe alright for a single big farm 400ha or larger but for me to set up our three blocks/farms of a total 422ha would cost $1650 which there’s no way I’m paying this. Would of thought to pay one off fee to access all this via one app to access everything saved weather it’s 2 or 5 farms.
