## What is FieldSync Pro?

FieldSync Pro is a training log built for track and field, for the coach writing the workout and the athlete doing it.

FOR ATHLETES

See what you have today. Your practice schedule and the work your coach assigned sit on one screen, grouped by the day they belong to, with any session still waiting on your splits called out so nothing goes unlogged.

Log a session rep by rep. Type each split as you take it. The app compares it against the target your coach set and shows where you landed.

Bring in your workouts from Apple Health. If you train with a watch, your runs come straight in with distance, time and the laps you pressed, and you choose which lap answers which rep. Each run also shows what your watch measured, like heart rate, pace and cadence, and your other workouts are listed too. That detail is shown only to you. A time that came off a watch is always labelled, so it is never mistaken for one you typed.

Keep your marks. Log attempts in any event, and your personal records are worked out for you in real units, so a mark in feet is never ranked against one in metres.

See your next practice at a glance. Add the FieldSync widget to your Home Screen or Lock Screen.

FOR COACHES

Prescribe real work. Interval sessions with sets, reps, distance, recovery and a target band. Hang them on a practice or a date, and assign them to one athlete or a whole squad.

Read the session back. Every split against the target, next to the same session the last time that athlete ran it, so you read a trend and not a single number.

Run practices. A schedule your team can see, attendance, weather and lightning holds, and a practice board for the day.

BUILT FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS

We do not permit signups under 13. Athletes 13 to 17 sign up on their own and can add a parent's email, so a parent hears that they joined. Parents can follow the team schedule, and any one to one chat between a coach and an athlete under 18 always includes another adult. There is no advertising, no third party analytics, and nothing about an athlete is sold to anybody, ever.

Apple Health is optional and read only, and the app only reads it when you open the app and ask. It reads your workouts and what your watch measured during them. Your coach sees your runs with their distance, time and laps, and the rest is shown only to you. FieldSync Pro never reads your location and never writes to Apple Health.

Free for teams. Built by coaches who were tired of spreadsheets.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.5 — 2026-10-05

There's a FieldSync widget now. It shows your next practice or meet and which team it's for, on your Home Screen or Lock Screen, and it updates itself when a practice is moved, cancelled or put on hold. To add it, touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen, open the widget list and search for FieldSync. It needs iOS 17 or later.

A lightning hold, or a practice cancelled or moved at the last minute, now comes through as a Time Sensitive notification, so it can still reach you when a Focus is on.

Notifications are grouped by team and by conversation, and a newer update about a practice replaces the older one. The number on the app icon counts only what needs you, and it clears once you've seen it. You can reply to a message from its notification.

Touch and hold the app icon for shortcuts, like logging a result or opening your messages.

FieldSync links, like an invite to join a team, open straight in the app.

Apple Health brings in more from your watch. Each run on the Runs screen shows things like heart rate, cadence and climb, and your other workouts are listed there too. Your iPhone will ask once more which Health data to share. You can delete everything FieldSync brought in from Health in Settings. FieldSync still never reads your location and never writes to Health.

Parents can open and answer the chats they've been added to.

When you sign up, you can pick your school or club from a list as you type.

The app is easier to read and works better with larger text and VoiceOver. Text has more contrast, charts describe themselves, splits open the number keyboard, and buttons that were hard to tap are bigger.

Help, safety tips and the privacy policy are in Settings.

Plus a lot of small fixes our testers found. Thanks to everyone who sent feedback.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-10-03

More control for coaches over who's on the team.

Coaches can choose to approve athletes before they join. Someone who uses the team code asks to join, the coaches get a notification, and they approve or decline from the Team page. Athletes see that they're waiting, and they can cancel the request.

Coaches can remove an athlete from the roster, and an owner can hand the team to another coach.

A coach who deletes their account no longer takes their athletes' history with them. Workouts and feedback stay with the athletes.

The app now asks about notifications on a full screen the first time you open it, so you don't miss practices, changes or announcements.

Plus fixes from our testers.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-02

Built for bringing a whole team on at once.

Coaches can send one announcement to the whole team, parents included. It arrives as a notification and an email, and it stays on everyone's screen until they've read it. You can see who has read it.

A session sent to a group now shows as one card with everyone's splits. You can search your roster, see at a glance who hasn't picked their events yet, and get one email each evening listing who joined, instead of one per athlete.

Athletes can mark a rep done without a time, get a quick check when a split looks wrong, and join the team from anywhere they type the code.

Parents get a clearer view of the teams they follow, and requests to follow a team are easy for coaches to spot.

Video is on hold for now and will be back.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-02

A big update for coaches and athletes.

Coaches can write running sessions from scratch or reuse their recent ones, set a target with their own margin, repeat timed efforts like 3 x 10 minutes, and write distances in metres, kilometres or miles. Everything you've prescribed now lives on its own Workouts tab, where you can see each athlete's splits and leave them feedback.

Athletes can tell their coach how a session went, see their personal best in every event, and earn badges for logging, streaks and new bests.

Parents can now have their own account to follow the team schedule, and Circles let athletes share progress with friends and family.

Also new: sign in with Apple or Google, weather alerts on practices, first and last names, and a cleaner Settings page. Plus plenty of fixes, including the keyboard no longer covering what you're typing.
