What was looking to be a great program has deteriorated to where now, I just want to get our data out. In all their wisdom, there was no notice that the update could, and did, remove access to all of last years data. If it’s working for you, great, but be aware! ### 2/5 — Flaming bag of garbage *2022-04-26, version 11.1.1* What happened to all the great features on this app it was so good a couple years ago but now it doesn’t have any of the features that we used to have like a high definition maps that showed individual rows. now its just rough looking map that won’t stay zoomed in! I never thought it was a feature to have data and Field acres to be recorded correctly but apparently that is some thing that cannot be achieved anymore! ### 4/5 — Recent updates *2022-02-17, version 11.0.0* On the past couple updates it made the downforce heat map barely visible to see and can’t zoom in down to details. ### 3/5 — Maps *2020-07-14, version 9.1.1* Still waiting for the option to choose your own colors. Being color blind most of the colored maps are useless to me as I can’t distinguish between some of the colors. We have a planter with a Dicky john controller and there is not an option for that. Don’t understand why they won’t come out with the app for droids? ### 3/5 — Ok but needs improvement *2020-05-16, version 9.0.1* The platform isn’t bad but there are a couple big issues. 1.) There is too much lag between app and your field computers, especially when overlap control(I.e. accuboom or accursed). It shows make believe gaps. 2. This one is from an applicator POV. IN THIS day and age we as farmers are always trying different things in the same field or you will spray a slightly different herbicide program because of setbacks that you may have to prove. It’d be nice to show these on the same map, instead of making several maps in the same field and really having no obvious side by side view. If that makes sense. I’d be happy to help anyway I can to make this even more farmer friendly. ### 2/5 — Needs work *2019-06-30, version 7.2.8* Good concept needs more development. It saves on the questions I have for him lol I’m sure he appreciates it too. My only thing is that I do really wish it was android compatible. ### 3/5 — Ag leader *2019-05-21, version 8.2.6* So far I love it. Just wish it would talk to my ag leader more. Just doesn’t have the compatibility to talk to the planter drives from ag leader yet. 3 stars now. Once compatibility is there it’s a 5 star. ### 4/5 — Great app, some issues with the fieldview drive *2019-04-28, version 8.2.4* Like others, I was kind of forced to use the app because I raise seed beans for Monsanto. I now use it for every acre in my operation. I love how my data is so readily available, and it is very user friendly. My only complaints are that the drive sometimes has issues connecting to the app, despite the iPad showing it is paired in Bluetooth settings. Also, I’ve recorded data with the wrong field selected (app prompted me to make a field ‘active’ that I drove past while en route to another field and I didn’t notice.. Would be better if this prompt would time out after a few minutes, to avoid this) ### 3/5 — It’s Ok but *2019-03-29, version 8.1.1* It’s pricey. Needs all the other requirements for sprayer records or what’s the point? Why can’t I run the full cab app on my phone? ### 4/5 — Overall pretty good *2018-06-12, version 7.3* They are constantly making improvements. We have loved it for harvest and planting. We are adding FieldView drive to several more of our machines ( JD air seeder, sprayer ) this year: ones they didn’t have a 20/20 from precision. One shortfall I’ve found is the inability with fieldview to keep good spray records. It needs a spot to put in weather conditions, temp humidity , wind speed , operator name etc. The app also needs a way to copy tank mixes so that you can easily edit a tank mix recipe without having to enter an entirely new mix or (as we’ve found out) edit the existing recipe for the next field and lose the record what was actually applied to the last field ( which means now that our spray records in fieldview aren’t accurate. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Inaccurate acre counter *2023-10-21, version 12.3.2* This app could be better judging by who owns it. We run newer Kinze planters and the acre counter is consistently off, counting less acres by 10% on the fields we plant. Calibrated planter and Climate and still getting the same results. FSA maps match our planter monitor acre counter better than Climate. Would not recommend this app to any grain farmer due to inaccuracy ### 1/5 — App Freezing *2023-05-27, version 12.1.0* Having a lot of problems with the new version of the App. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2022-07-01, version 11.2.0* Just constantly switches to field you are next to. Have to reset field and population every time you turn around. ### 1/5 — Is it worth it? *2020-04-30, version 9.0* When you are about to seed, spray, combine or anything else and you find yourself sitting in the cab for hours trying to connect the ipad to the puck and you are waiting valuable time you have to ask yourself “is it worth it?” Oh it’s cheep. Yeah buying 3 $800 iPads is real nice on the wallet. When it works it’s fine but it has to work 100% of the time to be accurate and that just doesn’t happen. You are smart don’t let ClimateFieldview say your not and sell you there garbage to remember what you sprayed and where ### 1/5 — Serious problems with version 8.3.9 *2020-03-01, version 8.3.9* Will not allow me to create any sort of pull type applicator (sprayer, dry box, anhydrous, air seeder). Right when I click save it gives me an error message my offsets are incorrect. I’ve never had this problem before and I’ve tried multiple different dimensions and nothing works. Please fix this soon. Thank you. I will delete this review once fixed. ### 1/5 — Forced to buy FieldView plus *2019-04-05, version 8.2* I raise seed beans for Monsanto and to be able to continue I’m forced to buy FieldView plus so they can track there seed fields. Why should I be forced to pay for information they want? Monsanto wants this information why don’t they just allow it to show there fields? Monsanto owns climate? I don’t like being forced to buy something I don’t want. I will looking for another company to raise seed for. ### 1/5 — App used to be great. *2018-12-18, version 7.7* FieldView used to be a great app and tool to use but seems when they have something that works they want to change it. Used to have a control bar on map screen to change downforce and growers loved it then they took it away. Seems like we loose field map data on some fields, sometimes it comes back sometimes it doesn’t. We have multiple iPads on same account some data doesn’t match from one tot he other. Data from FieldView cab and FieldView web doesn’t match. How if the data is sent from cab app to cloud then back out can data not match? Calling tech support is usually a waste of time. ### 1/5 — App is losing its effectiveness *2018-08-25, version 7.5* When we started using this in 2015, it was great. When we started using drives for harvest in 2016, it changed the way we selected varieties and seeding rates. Slowly but surely, the app is getting some optional manual entry for correcting my errors taken away and adding ignorant stuff like making a yield map based on a sat image. BUT, will not add any type of dry rate controller compatibility for documenting dry fertility. I’m about ready to get shed of climate and find something new because it’s gotten away from a farmer I put to make this stuff do what it needs to do. It’s more like folks are building this app that doesn’t ask questions to folks with dirt under their fingernails. ### 1/5 — I'm DONE with this app!!! *2017-02-20, version 6.0.2* Can't begin to describe how angry I am with Climate. Been using FieldView cab for years and loved it. I've used the Climate app for two years and am in NO way interested in using this service. I have found it to be of no value to our operation. NOW, since climate has merged with FieldView cab, I am being FORCED to purchase a product I don't want and no longer have the liberty of rejecting a service I am not interested in. What upsets me even more is the fact that ALL of my yield data has been rendered USELESS until I pay their ransom fee of $750 for garbage I don't want to unlock my yield data. FECULENT move, Climate!! You've lost me as a customer. I'm seeking other options and I would suggest others do the same. I get a strong impression that Climate is failing and upper management wants Farmer's to subsidize it. We were also on the Beta version of Cab App for the cotton picker. There are still a few things I’d like to see done to make things a little more seamless, but overall, we love Climate. ### 5/5 — Profitable Decision Making *2019-04-23, version 8.2.3* How do you know what rates or products are bringing the most ROI for your farm? With climate being able to map or collect maps from any platform, I use the tool to retain records and make comparisons. The yield analysis tool is a massive help in selecting and placing hybrids. The field region report tool allows me to compare pass by pass, soil type, checks, populations, etc. anywhere in the field. Being so easy to use and to share data with advisors, Climate Fieldview is a complete game changer. ### 5/5 — Multi hybrid grower *2019-04-11, version 8.2.1* Love the data it records. Makes decision making easy. I’m glad I looked into this app. For me being a small grower it was even worth subscribing for a Climate account. Doing advance scripting. I would never go back to another system. It’s nice to see what information is available ### 5/5 — Wouldn’t ever go back *2019-01-30, version 8.0* People have to realize that even with other platforms that cost much more than climate, their is no competition in the field of monitoring, analyzing and mapping that comes close to what climate can do. I don’t know what some of these other comments are about but if not had any issues. And i have actually optimized my yield. And in the last 2 seasons I have already raised my overall yield by 8 bu. on average. Still working things out and have gain on average each year. And now with my agronomists help I expect even high yields in 2019. All thanks to the measurement aspect of climate. And seeing what works and didn’t work.
