I'm used to using other similar tools like the Plaud device, which I still will continue to use, but I thought that Fieldy would just be the same thing, but perhaps less robust. It's in many ways more robust and useful. The basic functionality is very helpful. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t allow you to do bulk reassignment of speakers. You have to physically go in and select every single speaker moment within the transcript. With long meetings and multiple speakers, this is a lot of frustrating work. So much so that quite often it’s more time to correct the transcripts than it is to just take notes. The second infuriating aspect of this device is it does not record phone calls unless you have them on speakerphone. With a job like mine that is impossible to do even the majority of the time. The limits to their free AI subscription are such that you’re pretty much forced to pay for an upgraded subscription. If this is something you use often. And their subscriptions are substantially more expensive than other products out there that do the things that this one doesn’t. And it takes forever to figure out or get a response on how to return the d**n device. And when it’s all set and done, they don’t want to refund you for the useless subscription that you’ve paid for. Choose the monthly not the annual or you just waste more money. Tons of future potential here but lacking at present and, as per usual in the world, nowadays, legally acceptable, unethical behavior in terms of returns and refunds, lack of human support, etc. ### 1/5 — Trash *2026-07-31, version 2.35* Can’t get past the setup screen forces me to buy a subscription before I can test it out or use it. Hitting uo support for a refund ### 1/5 — Total failure! Waste of money! *2026-07-30* When I received my Fieldy I plugged it in to charge it. The light kept flashing a series of colors over and over. I left it for a few hours and it was still flashing all the colors. I thought it was taking an awfully long time to charge so I left it overnight. The next day it was still flashing! So I unplugged it and left it on the table. A few weeks later there were no more flashing lights, so I plugged it in again. Soon the light came on and was a steady white. So I carried it around for the day and saw that it recorded EVERYTHING! There is no power switch - at least one that works. So you can’t turn it off during times that you don’t want to record. Spooky. So I plugged it in so it would be charged and ready for the next day only for it to go back to the flashing multicolored lights again. I unplugged it and haven’t been able to use it again. The truly sickening thing is that I paid a lot of money not only for the device, but I also bought the pro plan because I had lots of training that i wanted to record so I could refer back to it. That’s a whale of a lot of money for one day of testing! Definitely not worth it. I want a refund of every penny I wasted on this useless piece of junk and the unusable « pro » plan. This deserves zero stars, but unfortunately one is as low as it will allow. ### 1/5 — Never ending price increases *2026-07-27, version 2.35* Got a Fieldy? DO NOT RECOMMEND! *2026-07-25* Hopefully, I can reach some Canadians before they to get sucked in to this company with their app. Not only is the app glitchy and not consistent but when purchasing their AI tracker, they are quick to take your money, but they failed to show on checkout or your invoice that you will be charged an additional 50.00. Their response has gone silent. Very disappointed in app and the company. Buy soundcore! Better app, transparent and overall better experience. I switched immediately! ### 1/5 — Great idea, terrible app, bad customer support *2026-07-10* When the product works, it works fantastic. There are often times multiple bugs in the app and the app only works about 10 to 20% of the time. I have reached out to Customer Support multiple times and they keep saying fixes are coming, but it never happens. I have also had many issues with the hardware and they did quite a bit of lying with their most recent product. I bought Fieldy too and loved the product so much that I immediately upgraded to field D3. They claimed that the battery would last 10 days and that the product worked better. The app functionality went downhill with the upgrade of the product and the battery only lasts about three days. I am currently looking at different solutions. ### 1/5 — Don’t buy this service *2026-07-10, version 2.35* Shady. Registered and didn’t realize the service I registered for was basically worthless. Unless you want to throw away good money after bad on this app, don’t buy their over priced device or service. I have a lot to juggle with my own disability and then I parent a child with a disability as well. Fieldy helps me keep track of points made in therapy, it makes it so I have the bulletpoints of each conversation and I know exactly what I need to work on. It details goals I need to accomplish between appointments. Etc. I can also make lists and notes in real time without having to stop what I’m doing, find pen and paper, and then forget what I wanted to write down. I’m very thrilled so far. It’s also great for when you pray if you would like to look back and see how God has answered prayers for you. ### 5/5 — Love. Love. I LOVE IT. the transcription is spot on! I can easily copy the transcript and use it in Claude and ChatGPT or just sharing the raw conversation. I am so over the moon and it’s only day 1!!! I don’t know what you guys did but the auto end conversation feature doesn’t work anymore. It’s turned into a normal recording device. The whole point of getting this was so it would transcribe all my conversations so that when one happens that we didn’t plan for, we don’t need to remember to turn on record. I tried going through the FAQ section and all the other help options and nothing has helped. Like I said, this last update broke it. Update: contacted the support team and they reverted my version back to when it auto ends convos. Very impressed with how they handled it.
