### 2/5 — Frequent crashes and touch shortcuts don’t work

*2024-11-11*

While it’s good to be able to actually edit Figma files, the touch shortcuts have never worked, which severely limits the utility of this app. It also crashes a lot.

### 3/5 — Great app

*2024-10-04*

The rounded borders that are standard to the UI of Vision Pro/visionOS creates an issue for FIGOUI at those edges. I wonder if doing something similar to the new iPhone mirroring on the Mac basically putting the sigma UI within a visionOS surface the UI can have a small rounding whilst having a type of glass around the edges however, this is something I haven’t seen elsewhere on the App Store, so this may look funky it could help with the edges.
I would also like to place multiple windows side-by-side that would be nice, but then I would also then assume people would want to drag things from one to the other once that functionality is made available and therefore creating more work for Matias.

### 4/5 — Best design tool on iPad for Figma users

*2024-08-25*

I don’t know but some key bugs got fixed. Still a bit buggy but I can see so much potential. Thank you for creating it.

### 4/5 — Needs option to request mobile site

*2024-05-09*

I loved this app initially.

Then my company’s I.T. department began forcing us to verify our identity via Kolide. When I attempt to sign into Figmalion with my workplace Google account, Kolide thinks that the request is coming from a desktop browser and tries to force me to download Kolide’s desktop app rather than sending me over to their iPadOS app. This means I can’t use the app anymore until Kolide can see Figmalion as an iPad app.

### 4/5 — Mostly works on iOS 17 again

*2024-01-17*

Thanks for the fix Matías! Glad you’re still keeping up with it. One problem I’ve encountered is custom fonts is still broken - my installed fonts work in other apps like Pages, but aren’t showing up in Figurative.
Hopefully something you have time to look into! It’s one of the most key features for using this app and Figma!

### 3/5 — Great app that allows you to do what Figma won’t

*2023-12-15*

Thank god this app exists to allow us to edit Figma files on iPad. The Figma app itself only allows viewing files.

Unfortunately, this app has stopped working for me after updating to iOS 17.2 - it only crashes on load now. And the developer hasn’t updated this app since iOS 14.

Very sad.

### 4/5 — I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app

*2023-06-27*

I love this app. I work primarily from my ipad so it’s great. However, it is pretty glitch with the trackpad of my magic keyboard and external mouses at times. It can freeze or run slow with really big files. And studio artboard mockup doesn’t work with this app. Im not sure if it’s the app or SAM themselves. Other than what I just mentioned this app is great. Even with the new updates everything was updated that same day!

### 4/5 — Much better experience than on browser!

*2023-06-11*

My dream is to be able to carry iPad pro around instead of my MacBookpro and do all my work being a product designer. This app is not the ultimate solution but does a much much better job with Figma than on native browsers. Thank you so much for building this!

Few suggestions for improvements.
- I experience a bug where I cant click and successfully open a menu but it opens and closes right away. I have to try like 10 clicks before I can get the pop ups like color pickers to stay open. Btw Im using trackpad.

- As a heavy figma user, my left thumb is always on the left “command” key. With this app, holding “command” somehow always pops open the short cut menu which is distracting.

- Sometimes certain commands dont work such as Redo, Undo, cmd+R to change layer names.

Can’t wait till the day when I can ditch my MBP for IPP.
Great work!

### 2/5 — Outdated

*2023-03-06*

The app hasn’t been updated in a couple of years and Figma has changed a couple of the core navigations during that time. Because of this, I can only open one project. There’s no way to navigate back to the Projects view. Quitting and restarting the app brings the project back up, so it doesn’t work around the problem.

### 4/5 — Best option out there

*2023-01-14, version 1.2.2*

It will take some finagling, but if you’re on an iPad Pro, you’ll need to open the context menu (3 dots, top right button) when the keyboard and touch commands stop responding, after using the pencil.

Sometimes you’ll have to use the stylus instead of touch for taps to register.

Despite the issues, if it wasn’t for this developer, we’d have no usable option, since Figma on web on iPad has no right click so you can’t delete layers, etc.

### 3/5 — Initial Impressions

*2022-12-12*

This app is a decent editor for Figma, very stable and functional. My only concern is that you don’t have access to your keyboard in the app. Therefore, you cannot add any text to your designs.

### 5/5 — this is trillion dollars idea

*2022-05-24*

do it

### 3/5 — More of a viewer without the magic keyboard

*2022-05-10, version 1.2.2*

Good for seeing my files on the go but I find interacting with elements to be a little cumbersome and big files seem to crash when zooming in.

Really handy either way though if you’re not relying on it

### 3/5 — AMAZING APP! But…

*2022-02-01*

Brilliant that there’s figma for my iPad now but it really doesn’t support Apple Pencil. The second I touch my screen with the pencil the app freezes and only thing to do is to close it and start again. Hopefully this will get fixed soon .

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Throwing errors and unusable

*2024-05-15*

I have just started using and it’s useless off the bat, I can’t load files or create, in fact nothing!

Please fix.

### 1/5 — New update has made the app terrible

*2024-02-15*

Very disappointed with the new update, hope this can be sorted sooner rather than later, used to be a great app before this perfect for iPad Pro now its just as bad as the rest of the apps.

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2023-11-06*

Keeps running into a bug where any UI elements that open modals like changing color of a fill self-closes in a split second. Unfortunate.

### 1/5 — Unusable when using Magic Keyboard

*2023-02-26*

Many of the modal menu's no longer work when pressed with the trackpad via the Magic Keyboard. Unfortunately, this makes the app an absolute pain to use.

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2022-09-27, version 1.2.2*

When I first bought it, everything was great, everything worked and it gave a much better experience than using the browser.
But it’s been a year since the last update and a lot of stuff doesn’t work the same as before. I even emailed the developer but got no answer.
Currently as it’s current state it’s unusable, zooming in and out in Figma and FigJam has a terrible bug which completely renders the application useless.
Right now you are better off using safari to use figma on iPad.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2022-01-22*

None of the buttons works!

### 1/5 — Does not function

*2022-01-03, version 1.2.2*

App does not seem to allow editing of files on current site.

### 1/5 — Can’t open files - new or existing

*2021-11-21, version 1.2.2*

I can’t get any files to open new or existing. The app seems super buggy and doesn’t inspire confidence. Spotted an error code once but most attempts to launch a file had no visual feedback.

### 1/5 — Does not work on iPads

*2021-07-11, version 1.2.2*

Ugghhh. I was hopeful this app could easily display Figma content, but it only displays 1 image. Worse, the single page is insanely magnified, even with you shrink the view & there’s with no ability to move either the initial page or progress to additional pages.

### 1/5 — Constant Reloading

*2021-07-04*

Every time I try to go into a project using this app, it constantly wants to reload, or just shows a blank page.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — EXACTLY What I was looking for!

*2024-07-08*

I’m a graphic designer on the journey to making my iPad my primary device for all my graphic design work. The only thing holding me back from selling my MacBook was how buggy Figma was on the browser as Figma is my primary UX/UI app for everything. This just solves all the issues I’ve had.

Question tho: Are plugins supported on this?

### 5/5 — Great Alternative

*2024-04-01*

Figurative for visionOS is a great alternative to have since the iOS Figma app is MIA. You’ll probably want/need a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to do major editing, however. You won’t be able to work on very large files because of tighter memory limitations imposed by the operating system. Caveats aside, it’s really cool to see Figurative make the leap from iPad to Apple Vision Pro! I’m starting to use it more to see if I can ditch the laptop completely.

### 5/5 — Super good but could be better even

*2024-02-26*

I love this app and it has no alternatives tho yet there are a few bugs like i cannot move objects in the app i just can have small edits in the last update and i sish i could fix it bcs i used to use this app all the time

### 5/5 — I just made a design system with my iPad

*2023-12-25*

I was in a situation where I needed to work from my iPad. Saw recommendations for figurative from Reddit and decided to give it a shot. Using the Magic Keyboard, I was able to make a design system and started making the UI I’m working on. Figurative makes Figma surprisingly responsive and makes the iPad a capable tool for design.
However, there are some issues such as commands command + z and command + shift + z taking a few presses to work. Another notable issue is when clicking on some buttons, as some buttons do not press first try.

Overall very pleased with this alternative, I will definitely be using Figurative with my iPad again in the future.

### 5/5 — Simply Brilliant!

*2023-12-10*

Since purchasing my iPad, I’ve migrated most of my design work from my MacBook to this device. Figma was the only tool missing from my workflow, and since I use it everyday Figurative has filled a big void that the official app wasn’t serving. It is everything the Figma app is not. I agree with other users and would be happy to support the developer with a once off payment. Figurative deserves longevity and it would be fantastic to see this app supported long into the future.

Thank you for developing this excellent tool!

### 5/5 — What the official Figma app should be on iPad

*2023-07-21*

Clearly this is the web version of Figma in a native app wrapper.. but it works and works far far better than the official Figma app which is just awful. But there are still quirks with this - using a mouse pointer doesn’t always allow selection of certain things such as colour palette options meaning you have to reach the screen and touch it to select the required option, breaking your flow. Evidently, this is a Figma web browser issue not belonging to this app itself. But generally, this is quite an critical app for me, I gave up my laptop a year ago and now just use iPad on the go, with a Mac Studio in the office.

### 5/5 — UI designer? You need this.

*2022-11-24*

With a new iPad Pro, the web interface for Figma was unbearable. This app has solved my needs for being able to design when travelling, without my MacBook. The combo of finger + Pencil interaction is fantastic. Bravo!

### 5/5 — Thanks for creating this app!

*2022-11-02, version 1.2.2*

I’ve been wanting to use my iPad Pro more especially when I’m on the road or traveling and do design work as I think of ideas. I was super disappointed to find out that Figma right out of the box won’t work with iPad. Thankfully I found Figurative and I haven’t looked back. It’s so nice to be able to really take advantage of my iPad. I can’t state how grateful I am to have this tool.

### 5/5 — LOVE IT!

*2022-08-25, version 1.2.2*

Almost perfect! Great job. But no love or updates for over a year now and not working too well.

### 5/5 — Great functionality

*2022-07-06*

Very good, I would suggest allowing to scale up the ui as I find it is often a little too small.
