## What is Filament Lager?

Reads and writes OpenPrintTag tags – the open NFC tags on filament spools, e.g. from Prusament.

Hold your iPhone to the spool, and Filament Lager shows material, color, temperatures and how much is left. All spools go into your inventory – with remaining amount, slot and purchase price, synced to all your devices via iCloud if you like.

STATISTICS
How much filament is on your shelf, what is it worth, and how much do you print per week or month? Statistics show your stock by material, when a material is likely to run out at your usage, which colors and brands you use most – and your whole shelf at a glance, with the remaining amount of every spool.

INVENTORIES & SHARING
Organize your spools by place, e.g. Workshop and Home – each inventory with its own icon and color. Share an inventory via link or invitation and decide for each person whether they can edit spools or only view them. Spools move to another inventory with one tap.

WRITE BLANK TAGS
Write new or reused tags right in the app: pick brand and filament from the open material database – more than 120 brands, favorites on top – choose the spool, done. If your filament is missing, add it yourself with color and temperatures. When a spool is empty, erase the tag and use it for the next one. Spools without a tag can be added just as easily.

KEEP TRACK OF USAGE
Enter the remaining amount, subtract grams used or simply put the spool on a kitchen scale – empty spool weights of many manufacturers are built in, and printed tag adapters are counted too. Picked the wrong spool? Undo the last entry. After a multicolor print, scan all spools in one go. The app writes slot and usage back to the tag, so printers and other apps see the same state.

SIRI & SHORTCUTS
Ask “How much PETG do I have in Filament Lager?” – or use stock and remaining amount in your own automations.

ORDER ON THE SHELF
The slot overview shows what is on which shelf. The Home Screen widget tells you which spools are running low.

DRYING
Recommended drying values per material, a timer with notification and the date each spool was last dried.

IMPORT & EXPORT
Backup as a file, spreadsheet for Excel or Numbers – and back.

Available in English and German. Light, dark or system appearance.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-10-30

Filament Lager is now available in English – and in App Stores worldwide.

New statistics: your spools stand on a shelf sorted by material – the thinner the winding, the less is left. Plus an activity calendar of the last 20 weeks, a ring with your stock per material, a color band of all spools and the almost empty ones at a glance.

• Siri and Shortcuts: “How much PETG do I have in Filament Lager?” or “Which spools are almost empty in Filament Lager?” – no setup needed. The Shortcuts app offers stock, remaining amount of a spool and more for your own automations.
• Faster scanning: “Scan Spool” as a control for Control Center, Lock Screen and the Action button, plus quick actions when you touch and hold the app icon.
• My Empty Spools: enter the weight of your empty spools per brand and spool size. When setting up a tag, your value takes precedence over the database.
• My Tag Adapters: printed hubs that carry the tag from spool to spool, each with its own weight – the app picks the right one.
• Inventory value without purchase prices: spools without a price are counted with an average price you set.
• Tip jar: the app stays free and ad-free. If you like, leave a tip in Settings – as a thank-you you get a golden app icon.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-10-27

Mehrere Rollen getrocknet?
