I tried sending an encrypted file as an attachment in Gmail, but Gmail wouldn’t allow a file with an “.ienc” extension to be uploaded. IF the application was to include a link (Like Google Drive) that could be shared with other contacts, then the application would be a lot more useful. The link would also allow those of us (like me) who also use other hardware (Windows Computer, Android Pad, and a Chromebook) to have access to the encrypted files for downloading, storing, and decrypting at will. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. *2022-12-23* Encrypted file can’t be found. Encrypted file alright but would not decrypt! ### 1/5 — Too many bugs for safely encrypting critical files *2021-09-18* I really hoped this app would be a good solution for me to encrypt and decrypt files across my iPad, iPhone, and Mac. Unfortunately, I was able to encrypt a Pages document on my iPad, but I was unable to decrypt it. On my Mac I tried encrypting a .rtf file I created in TextEdit, but it gave me an error saying it was trying to save the encrypted file in a format the app didn’t even support. In another error message on my Mac, it said it was trying to use a “null” file extension when encrypting the .rtf file. I really wanted to use this app, but I just don’t feel comfortable encrypting my files with the fear that I may not be able to decrypt them again in the future because the app had too many bugs. If you do use this app, I don’t recommend using it for very important documents. ### 5/5 — Excellent in its Simplity *2021-06-19* This is the iPhone File Encryptor that I have been looking for. The user interface is totally functional. It asks you if you want to Encrpypt or Decrypt a file, then it lets you navigate to the file. Then choose your storage options.
