If you look, you’ll find a new similar app made by the same developer, resulting in you having to purchase it again. This app was my third time purchasing it. I’ve learnt my lesson, won’t purchase anything made by this developer. ### 1/5 — Disgusting devs have done it again!! *2026-07-26, version 9.0.2* Like so many users here, I used to use the downloads app. I paid for it, and I used it without problems for years. I mean it had its issues, but it was a tried and tested part of my iPhone workflow. Then one day it stopped working due to an upcoming iPhone iOS upgrade, and lo and behold a new app appeared by the same developers. So I shelled out another £4.99 and here I am using that one for another few years. And now, out of nowhere, I’m told that I don’t have the right to make downloads (which I’ve been doing for years), without paying a new monthly subscription. Of all the apps I use on the iPhone, this is the only organisation that does this. I genuinely don’t know how they get away with it, it’s not even funny, this is straight up, unscrupulous, unabashed robbery. I’m just amazed more app developers don’t do it. I suppose most of them have standards.
