### 4/5 — Good overall

*2017-12-31*

Timed auto slideshow would make it better...

### 4/5 — Actually it's ok

*2011-05-21, version 2.8*

Was looking for an app that would play old .mov on ipad2 (for some reason iTunes did not like the .mov from my camera). Anyway, this app plays the files. Also quick to learn.

### 3/5 — Pretty good

*2010-06-30, version 0*

Transferred files over wireless using Win7 easily enough with the instructions in the app. Having trouble creating folders in the pictures section, only figured out how to create them in the "All" section.

Need slideshow functionality for pictures section.

How about that pic slideshow functionality?

### 4/5 — Works great - beats some of the PDF readers out there

*2010-06-20, version 0*

Compared against PDF Reader Pro for iPad - File Viewer XL out performed and was able to read all files I transferred over, where PDF Reader Pro couldn't. Great user interface!

### 4/5 — it should be urgently improved

*2010-05-08, version 0*

I expected the fileviewer to organize all my documents into folders on my iPad; it does but unfortunately there is no way to just transfer a folder and subfolders in one move. But I have created my folders again and transferred the files. I can view everything but then of course I need to use a file and edit it..... Only way to do is by mailing it and it works by mailing it to myself and then from within mail open it with pages or numbers; however I thought I could also do that without having an internet connection by clicking on the attached file while the mail is still in the outbox.... no way!
I changed recently to apple and I am very very happy; I also dumped my laptop and will use only the iPad for business trips but why they make life so difficult?? Why can we not have our files in folders on the iPad and then open what we need and edit? You can do it in pages but there you can not make folder; imagine for example 10 GB of files all in one long list.... I hope solutions are around the corner

### 4/5 — E-mail attachment

*2010-04-21, version 0*

the software is quite useful, and easy to use. just one suggestion, hope the attachments received in email could be brought to the FileViewer's library. so far those attachments can not be viewed by the software at all.

### 4/5 — I like it.

*2010-04-12, version 0*

I use Dropbox and love it but my biggest criticism about the iPhone/iPad version is the viewer. Doesn't handle as many file types as I would like and doesn't format them for the screen that well. This app seems to be solving those problems well. The connection isn't too bad through the WiFi but I wish there were a "merge" of this viewer with something like Drobbox. Perhaps in a future version one could set up accounts to access Dropbox, MobileMe, Box.net, etc. I think the app is well worth the $2.99.

### 5/5 — This is an awesome app

*2010-04-07, version 0*

If u get this app you not only can easily move stuff backwards and forwards between your desktop machine and your ipad without hassle, this app lets you build a meaningful file structure to put your stuff in.
Plus apart from being able to view many types of files with the built in viewer it is also a great pdf reader, very fast to use and intuitive compared to all the other pdf readers currently available.
Highly recommended.

### 1/5 — Деньги на ветер

*2024-03-29, version 8.7*

Постоянно вылетает. Загружает по одному файлу.

### 1/5 — Mal documenté

*2014-01-28, version 5.1*

Branché en USB à iTunes sur PC, impossible de trouver le moyen de transférer des fichiers vers mon iPAd. Donc application inutile tant que le transfert ne sera pas plus évident.

### 1/5 — Rubish

*2013-09-08, version 4.8*

I DO BUY IT!!!
This is totally rubish. The rubish is switching of automatykly, when big document is abaut to be open!!!!! Expencive rubish!!!

### 1/5 — crashes some times

*2012-04-02, version 4.1*

GoodReader for iPad is better

### 1/5 — Rotten

*2011-05-12, version 2.8*

I'm sick of software that does not advertise what it really is. This software requires iTunes and a USB cable. If you aren't prepared to use a USB cable to TRANSFER files in order to VIEW files, don't buy this. Another couple of bucks wasted.

### 1/5 — It works But?

*2010-07-25, version 0*

good thinking but app needs work it's very slow xfer through wifi, a little tricky for someone who doesn't know there way around "my network places" I lost like one gig of space on iPad when it failed to copy and I couldn't delete file off iPad due to the fact I couldn't find file? xfer through USB via iTunes works fine but if you have to plug in what's the point of the app?
All and all the app does what it says and it works fine minus the lost space on my iPad? was it worth four dollars NO
Use drop box for free!!

### 1/5 — Poor Performance

*2010-06-04, version 0*

After many hours researching different apps to be able to view different files especially large pdf's on the ipad, I decided on this one because of the features it said it had. once loaded I placed a PDF file that was 18mb in size into it. this is the main file that I use for sales.

- The view of the file was pathetic... it was very slow and would STALL when trying to flip from one page to another. ther was no way i could show my customers something int he pdf file with this poor performance.
- There is NO search feature when viewing the PDF so that was a huge downfall. in large pdf documents this is a must feature.

- I did like the ability to mount the ipad as a wireless drive ont he network... files were easily transfered to the ipad.

I removed this app 2 days after I purchased it and feel it is not worth the money I paid for it.
I have since downloaded GOODREADER and it is exceeding my expectations as was considerably cheaper.

anyway thats my 2 cents...

### 1/5 — Broken

*2010-06-02, version 0*

Latest update broke my copy. Have a password set and crashes right after showing the box to input my password.

### 2/5 — Great idea...app needs work

*2010-10-06, version 0*

Way too slow. I've had this app for about 3 months now. They have yet to come out with a newer version to address the sluggishness. When you have multiple files loaded onto your iPad, it can take over a minute to scroll to the next page just to see the rest of your list, which makes the app fairly unusable.

### 3/5 — Pretty good

*2011-05-04, version 2.8*

Was exactly what I needed to load all my PDF drawings onto and arrange them nicely into individual folders. However, there is no way to grab multiple files (that I could find) at 1 time and move them into a folder. You have to move each file individually. This definitely makes the arranging process take longer then needed, but this is still a good product overall.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A clean, simple filing system for everything!

*2013-03-16, version 4.7*

The best.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2012-01-26, version 3.5*

I purchased this app a few days ago, and I am very impressed so far. Transferring files is fairly quick and easy through iTunes, and the transferred files actually reside on the iPad (unlike with the "cloud" services. It handles many more types of files than you can use through iCloud, as iCloud will only transfer files that are compatible with iWorks apps.

The directions on the developers website are somewhat sparse, but it's a pretty simple to use app. I contacted Customer Support via email with a few suggestions for future releases, and they emailed me back within a very short time.
The iTunes transfer method will only allow you to transfer files; not folders. Customer Support told me a trick of compressing the entire folder into a compressed file (zip, rar, etc.), then transfer the compressed file and uncompressed in on the iPad in the app. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds like it can be a time saver on transferring large amounts of files and complete folders.
I highly recommend this app!

### 5/5 — This a Great App

*2011-12-20, version 3.5*

This app allows you to view many different types of files. It is very user friendly and is well worth the $$$. This is a must have app.

### 5/5 — Great for on the go

*2011-09-07, version 3.0*

Good directory operation, sort of a bit Windows like...
I use this app for hundreds of PDF service manuals on the go and I like to make directories my OWN WAY to find all that stuff. This app works impressively. Never had to check for support... Yet

### 5/5 — Excellent, best I have tried!

*2011-05-25, version 2.8*

This worked for me when I needed to view a specific tech manual that would not load with two other PDF apps I tried. The user interface is intuitive, easy to use, and powerful. Nice tab & clear file management. Stable, easy to adjust size while reading.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App!

*2010-12-12, version 2.0*

Just what I needed. Easy to use. Includes a terrific PDF viewer. Opens email attachments. Support is excellent. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — File transfer

*2010-10-14, version 0*

Good app. I liked it. But why did you turn off file transfer via WiFi?? Is there any way to roll back to previous version? USB file transfer very inconvenient...

### 5/5 — perfect

*2010-07-31, version 0*

Set up with bonjour in minutes. works like a dream. this is the 3rd file transfer program i have tried and is the best.

### 5/5 — Une merveille

*2010-07-17, version 0*

Dommage de ne pas pouvoir trier les documents. Sinon Parfait. A télécharger sans hésiter.

### 5/5 — molly

*2010-07-06, version 0*

Have used most of the viewers and find FileViewer XL fits my needs best. There are
few files it won't open even a 3.2GB mp4 and all this on an early net book.Have had
occassion to ask author for assistance and received prompt solution. I would give it
a 9/10
