### 2/5 — Crashing App

*2016-12-30, version 5.3*

The app doesn't even show the watch connected to it even though I made a call on it to make sure it was still working. When I go into the app to check notifications it crashes. It also will send notifications that my child has left home...when the watch is on my kitchen counter and my child is downstairs. These issues need to be fixed.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2016-10-27, version 5.3*

I like the app but it has been crashing daily, prevents me from texting and locating my child

### 2/5 — App Needs Development

*2016-08-28, version 5.1*

The watch works fine, but if all set-up, maintenance, and control is going to occur in the app, the app needs to be better developed. We started with a defective unit. Now that I have a new one, I can't get the watch set-up because I can't delete the watch profile that is in the app currently to set it up again. Deleting and reinstalling the app doesn't help because the profile is under my parent profile established with my email address. This capability and more robust development of the online technical support would significantly improve the experience.

### 2/5 — Crashing

*2016-08-17, version 5.1*

The idea of the phone is great. It even worked yesterday, our first day having it. The problem is the app. Somehow in the night it decided we all lived in Canada and it's taken me all day to figure out why we keep getting errors when we try using it to call our contacts. Then once I figured that out and tried to change it the app crashes over and over while clicking "save". It also deleted all of our contact photos inside the app. So, the phone is great only if the app works and so far it's having a lot of problems.

### 3/5 — Short Battery Life

*2016-08-12, version 5.1*

Concept of the phone is awesome! Just wish the battery life was longer. Without use it only lasts a few hours.

### 3/5 — Its ok

*2016-06-01, version 5.0.2*

Not worth $150.00 am regretting the purchase. Not water proof...Difficult to set up, no app available for laptop computer, making it difficult to add/change info, settings etc. Text message not showing up on phone nor missed calls. Several features listed are not available Disappointing to say the least.

### 1/5 — Fallo de red PERSISTE

*2016-05-16, version 5.0.2*

Persiste el error en la última revisión: " -1005: la conexión de red se ha perdido" cuando se accede a los mensajes y alertas, que es una función fundamental y que ya no ha vuelto a funcionar desde hace tres actualizaciones. Gracias

### 3/5 — Please change ringtone!!

*2016-04-19, version 5.0*

The app is ok but I wish I could have option as far as ringtone something louder or that my son would know his watch it ringing!!! Please fix this

### 2/5 — Not as great as I expected

*2016-03-23, version 4.4.2*

The concept is great and inexpensive unfortunately the technology leaves a lot to wish for. Updates are extremely delayed. Connection isn't the greatest. Being able to text my child is wonderful but I wish it had the option of texting or sending voice memo from the watch itself.

### 1/5 — Five star idea, one star implementation

*2016-03-02, version 4.4.2*

Buggy despite multiple updates. This app is just junk. Good idea but implemented incompetently. I'd love to have a professionally implemented version. The hardware is poor as well, to big and uncomfortable and awful battery life.

### 1/5 — GPS needs work

*2016-02-16, version 4.4.2*

1. Battery is not good on these watches, if you have it set to check location every 15 to 30 minutes, it will eat up your battery dramatically and it will last you like 3 hours before it says it needs to be charged again.

2. I have both of my kids watches set to check for location every 45 minutes, and it lasts a good 6 to 7 hours, but the problem is that when my kids leave a safe zone you will not get a message until 45 minutes to an hour after they left the safe zone, I recommend trying to incorporate a notification when kids leave a safe zone right away even when you have it set to 15, 30 or 45 minutes, this will be very useful and make it even a better product.

3. I have see many bad reviews and the cause is that we complain and nothing gets fixed, maybe this product will not make it to the top if nothing gets done to help their customers.

4. GPS location is not accurate, when they are either at school or home, it shows that they are like 4 blocks away from where they are, so what is the purpose of having GPS, Cell Tower and WiFi triangulation if it is not going to work?

5. I will give it a few more months and if nothing gets fixed, I will move on and cancel my service with AT&T and try the next available company that provides better service to keep my kids safe.

### 1/5 — Nefasto, es un timo

*2016-02-10, version 4.4.2*

### 3/5 — Linking multiple users to one watch is a headache

*2015-11-05, version 4.4.1*

The app itself is great! However the setup needs work. Most parents have many smart phones to one watch. The user interface fails to make it easy to add more than one user to the same watch.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2015-10-27, version 4.4.1*

I bought one of these watches for my daughter and it VERY upsetting and stressful to get a notification saying shes somewhere shes not supposed. Like today i dropped her off in school and 1 hr later i get a notification that she left school and I had to call school to makesure she was there im really glad it was a false alarm and this not the first time it happens. Is this watch supposed to give me a peace of mind or make me paranoid?

### 1/5 — My son has been using this app and watch for a while now

*2015-10-21, version 4.4.1*

Watch battery doesn't last more than a few hours. Typically we have to power off the watch to get a full charge. Sometimes the GPS says it's places that it isn't even after refreshing and saying it has updated. I've been very patient. Support never emails back. We love this idea and try really hard to make it work but there will be times when it just won't live up to it's expectations no matter how hard you try.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2015-09-15, version 4.4*

This is one of the worst products I have ever purchased. We have had the watch for 2 weeks and it does not work. My son takes it to school and that's it and it got water damaged from washing his hands. The company say it is water resistant but I guess washing your hands doesn't not apply. They will not replace I spent $150 for 2 weeks. It's meant or kids and yet washing your hands damages the watch. By the way I'm waiting for a supervisor to call me back but they are busy it could take up to 72 hours. I should listen to of all the bad comments on about this product.

### 2/5 — It's ok, needs improvements

*2015-08-24, version 4.3*

After purchasing two of these, I quickly realized a couple key improvements that these watches lack. 1) while looking at the map, if you have more then one watch, both your kids icons will appear one right over the other. So you can only assume they are together(ie. School, home, etc). Would be nice if the icons were smaller so you can see both the kids at once. Even if they were color coded dots. Don't need a large picture of them as an icon. 2) there is no volume adjustment on the watches. They are a bit hard for the kids to hear the caller.

### 3/5 — App Broke

*2015-07-19, version 4.3*

The app stopped working after the IOS 8.4 update. Can't use the product now. This also happened once before and took a long time to get an updated app.

### 2/5 — Horrible app.

*2015-06-18, version 4.3*

Device is ok. Not great, but gets the job done. App on the other hand is really bad. It was designed by an idiot and not tested on normal people. Pretty much everything needs fixing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2016-10-28, version 5.3*

The app is garbage. Can you please fix the issue with it crashing? I can't even open it. As soon as I do it crashes which makes the watch pretty useless. Hate spending money for a watch that we can't even utilize.

### 1/5 — App crashing

*2016-10-07, version 5.3*

Still crashes right away with most recent update

### 1/5 — App keep on crashing

*2016-10-04, version 5.2*

I bought the item last Thursday 9/29/16 and the app keep on crashing. The moment I click 'sign on' it kicks me out. Please fix the app!! I've already contacted FiLIP support and they said the developers are working to assist me..it has been 2 business day.

### 1/5 — Minimal usefulness. And CRASHES all the time

*2016-09-22, version 5.2*

The app, like the watch, has very limited function. Not very reliable geolocation service, and with the new Apple update, it crashes all the time!

### 1/5 — Waste of time & money 👎🏼

*2016-09-01, version 5.1*

Good concept, horrible device and app. I'm shocked AT&T would allow such an unreliable device and associated app to pawn onto customers as an "easy to use and reliable GPS locator and communication device for your child" when it is neither.

After two calls to AT&T I finally got the device itself activated, but the app would not sync to the device after multiple attempts and the final straw was when the device showed "no service" yet again which will force me to call AT&T a third time...only this time I'm telling them to remove the number and fiLIP service from my account as I will be returning the device for a refund. I refuse to pay $150 for a device and $10 a month to use it when so many people here like myself have reported faulty devices, a constantly crashing app, issues syncing, etc.

Honestly, I wouldn't even use it if both the device and service were 100% free...I should have read the reviews here before I bought this worthless piece of crap. There is a reason it has such a low rating.

What makes me even more angry is that this item is even available to the public considering the main reason why people buy it. Whatever you do, DON'T trust or rely on this item to protect your precious cargo...I fear it won't perform as it should if needed.

### 1/5 — Filip

*2016-08-29, version 5.1*

The apps keeps crashing. I monitor my son's whereabouts, especially on his way home from the bus. It's a safety feature that must be addressee immediately.

### 1/5 — Won't activate

*2016-08-22, version 5.1*

AT&T service works and I can call and wait on hold to talk to FiLIP from the watch, but the app won't send activation code. Also, it kept crashing while trying to add a photo from the camera, which a picture is required. I finally got around that by allowing access to my camera roll to use an existing image. So, now I'm just waiting for the app to send a six digit code so I can use the $150 thing I've been paying $10 a month for. Going on one week. Hold time was 25 minutes until it sent me to voicemail. Waiting for a call back.

### 1/5 — Worked briefly...

*2016-08-19, version 5.1*

...then it forgot the device once FiLIP was turned off and restarted. When I attempt to pair the device with the app again, it tells me the phone number is already registered (well, duh) and it won't send another activation code to the device for pairing. I guess I get to spend a bunch of time on hold with tech support.

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2016-07-22, version 5.0.3*

Your app is crashing upon opening. Please fix!

### 1/5 — App issues

*2016-07-20, version 5.0.3*

App constantly crashes, won't update location and when it does it shows the watch in different towns. The app won't even open up any more buyer beware there is better options out there then this.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Happy with my purchase

*2015-05-31, version 4.3*

I just recently bought this for my nine year old daughter. She loves it and I love it. She thinks she's Kim Possible whenever she wears it. I feel comfortable when she's got it on. Not so much for the tracking but that she can call me at any moment. Plus she call me if something happens when she's home with her grandmother if there is an emergency. I'm happy with it. Just wish they had an apple watch app.

### 5/5 — Great product!

*2015-04-18, version 4.3*

My son loves his watch. He's learned it's his responsibility to plug it in every night. And when he's away from home, he feels secure in knowing he can call me any time he needs to. To the other reviewers complaining that it's horrible, I suppose they don't remember a time when phones were required to be connected to the wall at all times, or when mobile phones first came out and could only be used a few hours at a time before needing a charge. At least I realise this can only get better from here! There have already been major improvements since we got the watch in Jan, and I appreciate all the work going into this!Keep up the great work!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2015-04-02, version 4.3*

We love the FiLIP! It has been such a lifesaver in keeping track of 6 year old when she outside playing with friends on our street!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2015-02-27, version 4.3*

I just turned in the filip 1 for the new filip 2. My son loves this thing! He gets so excited when he gets calls and messages. It has taught him responsibility to always charge it at night. I have not had any glitches. The only down side would be the gps only updates every 15 min and the battery isn't very good...but he learned to plug it in every night if he wants to wear it. :) It can only get better and better as phones usually do every phase. Oh and the support people are so amAzingly NICE!!!!

### 5/5 — Perfect for my children

*2014-11-10, version 4.0*

Really wonderful

### 5/5 — Fantastic Product

*2013-11-24, version 1.0*

This app works perfectly well with the Filip smart watch. I can now track down my loved ones via this app + the Filip watch with no hassles. I recommend it to everyone.

### 4/5 — Decent app, needs upgrade

*2014-10-03, version 3.0*

The app worked fine until iOS 8 came out in Sept. The message/text function is totally unavailable because it's screen or covered by the suggested words bar. In other words, you can no longer message your child. Why hasn't this been fixed?!! Other than that, it works fine, but that's a huge deal.

### 4/5 — Glad I bought one...

*2014-07-14, version 3.0*

I'd read some older reviews of the product and decided to try it anyway. Glad I did! Looks like the mute function was added and better location detection. The only bug I've found so far is with the weight under child information. I put in 52 lbs and the email/SMS export from the app translates that to 257lbs, which my almost six year old definitely does not weigh...

### 4/5 — Much Improved

*2014-07-10, version 3.0*

This is the first update to the Filip watch's app. They also updated the firmware on the watch. The ability to silence the watch from the app is a welcome addition. They also improved the accuracy of the notifications. The ability to decrease the radius of a "safe zone" was also added, as well as an increase in the amount of characters you are allowed to text (from 16 to 24).
My son loves his Filip watch. It has given me peace of mind to let my son explore a little more on his own. My one complaint would be that you still can not zoom in on the map as much as I would like. It uses Google Maps, but it does not provide the level if zoom you see with the regular Google Maps. Overall, I find the app easy to use and a nice companion to the watch.

### 4/5 — Awesome kid phone

*2014-06-05, version 2.1*

I think this product is awesome for kids who are not quite ready for a cell phone. The app is super easy to use and set up, I like that I could change who can call my kid. I know there was an update done so I hope it works for the sound and battery life. If there is ever an emergency I know my kid will try to call me.
