## What is Film My Run?

I make running films. I also run a lot, mostly ultras, mostly slowly. This app is the tools I built for both.

Everything in it is built on real results, not guesses. The race predictor looked at 2.37 million UK race results to see how runners with your time actually did at other distances. So your prediction is what runners like you really ran.

FREE, FOR GOOD
• Race predictor. Any distance to any distance, from a race you've already run. Ultras too, with the climb and the surface of the course.
• Pace calculator. Pace, speed and finish times, in km or miles.
• Age grading. How your time compares with the world's best at your age.
• Training zones, VO2 max, race nutrition and a hills calculator.
• Training plans from 5K to the marathon, with every session at your own paces, built to the 80/20 method. Pick a race and a date and it builds your calendar. Move a run, skip a run, tick it off from Apple Health.
• How fast are you? Your parkrun or Power of 10 results, and where they put you.
• Shoe Finder. Filter by what you actually run on.
• Your race countdown on the Lock Screen.

FMR CLUB
• Race-day pacing. Checkpoint schedules for the Centurion 100s or your own course, from 7,687 real finishes. Check in at each aid station and it tells you how far ahead or behind you are. Print a wrist band. Watch it on your Lock Screen.
• Ultra training plans. 50K, 100K and 100 miles, every session at your paces.
• Today's run on your Home Screen.
• Ask Stephen. A one-to-one chat with me about anything running. I reply within a couple of days. It's a conversation, not a written plan.
• 15% off in the Film My Run shop.

Signed-in members save 10% in the shop too, and you don't need FMR Club for that.

THE SHOP

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-10-26

Lots of small fixes this time, most of them from going through every screen one by one.

- Plans: set your own goal time and a Sunday race date when you start a plan. Easy runs are never quicker than marathon pace plus 10%.
- Pace: 239.6 seconds a km now shows as 4:00, not 3:60. Oops!
- Shoe Finder: Top rated now takes into account how many reviews a shoe has, and older models make way for their replacements.
- Fartlex: letters that aren't in the word fade out on the keyboard, and the result scrolls into view when you finish.
- Tidier Today, Settings, Shop, Account and race pacing screens, and better at large text sizes.

Thanks for using the app!
