Why do you need Film Scan Pro?

An Archivist often finds himself with binders, cartons and crates of photographic material to evaluate and catalog: BW Negatives, Color Negatives, or Transparencies. 

Negatives in an Archive may have associated proof sheets and/or contact prints, but often not, which makes making evaluating them difficult or impossible without a tool like Film Scan Pro.

You cannot identify people and places in tone inverse images, especially color negatives considering the C-41 Color Correction Process (orange mask) used by film manufacturers to optimize the cyan, yellow, and magenta dye layers' ability to render color and saturation accurately.

High quality scanners like those from Nikon or Epson can capture negative images, but quickly triaging hundreds or thousands of images is just not possible with a process that is so slow and cumbersome.

Enter Film Scan Pro!

Simply lay your Color or Black and White Negatives on a light table, select the appropriate Film Type in the App, and hover over the images to see them as positives. The Exposure Slider can help if the negatives are over or under exposed, the magnifier can optimize the viewing size.

With Film Scan Pro you can Capture images to examine them more closely, and you can Crop or Rotate them, Save them to the File System or Share them.
