It’s been my go to for quite sometime now! ### 5/5 — Easy to use, with a beautiful UI *2022-12-15, version 4.0.16* Since I am not a professional film-maker, I enjoy easy-to-use film editors. Filma is exactly that. It's design is simple and fluid. The layout is unique and the options available for filters, etc. are deeper than they appear. The UI is actually what is most important to me, and really upped my desire to keep using this app. I prefer the simplicity of it, from icons to even the curve settings on the button regions and even the icons. This is very professional, minimalist, and promotes exploring exactly what each option has available. ### 5/5 — Outstanding *2022-11-30, version 4.0.14* This is the best video app for the money. These combine several different types of software to achieve (usually). They can include 3D, 2D, photographs, vectors, particle effects, and shaders. They are basically animated stills with special FX. There are many companies out there making apps to create these as alternatives to more expensive design software with ginormous learning curves. And some of those are good. But I’ve not seen one that packs it all-in-one like FILMA. It is quality as well. I found it by accident, and it is my new favorite. Miguel, the developer, responds to communications as well. I really really really want this app to succeed. Please try it out and help spread the word! It doesn’t have something to show you how to use it like a tutorial. I don’t know how to add clips or anything. But the problem I have with it is that it crashes every time I enter a project. I had only used a 14 second video, yet when I placed it, the app crashed. This prevents me editing my video in any way, shape, or form. It is also great to see that it keeps gaining capabilities. You need vertical video? Filma. Effects? Filma. Multiple tracks and transitions? Filma. It takes a little bit of work to understand the workflow and interface, but it’s worth it. ### 4/5 — So Good! *2019-05-04, version 1.1* This app is pretty great. The navigation of the app is easy, simple, and and the animations when you tap on something are so smooth and beautiful. Editing is easy and simple as well, and I'm personally exited for the new features. But, there's a weird glitch. I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen, but, when you split something, it's fine, like any other editor. But when you use a transition, a weird thing happens. When you tap on one, what happens is the first part of the split video enlarges back to the original length of the video. And you have to split the first part of the split video and delete the second part to get what you need. This is especially annoying on longer videos, and I'd appreciate if it could be fixed. One minor nitpick I have, is when you're splitting the video or something like that, the video slows down and gets REALLY CHOPPY. To fix this, you have to leave the little menu of whatever you were doing to see the proper video. I'd also appreciate if that could be fixed. But that with aside, this app is amazing and has a lot of potential in the future.
