Keep ordinary days in one finite roll of film.
filmroll diary is an iPhone video journal for quietly recording everyday light, movement, voices, and atmosphere. Create a roll with a fixed length, capture short clips in order, and develop them into one finished movie.
Choosing film, shooting, playback, music, export, and watching the finished result in your private screening room are connected as one calm analog ritual.
【A finite roll】
Choose a name, recording length, and 1080p or 4K when loading a new roll. A limited duration gives each recording—and the light and sound in front of you—more meaning.

【Shoot like a film camera】
Adjust exposure and zoom, use the light, and switch between front and rear cameras. Slow shutter and silent slow motion are also available. Portrait and landscape clips remain in shooting order when developed into one movie.
【Develop with music】
Choose music that complements the film, then balance it with the original recorded sound. Finished movies can be saved to your Photo Library.
【A private screening room】
Every successful export is also preserved in the app’s screening room. Choose a movie from its film reel box and begin with a projected countdown inside a dark, empty auditorium.
When the movie ends, a film-textured “Fin” card remains on the screen. Select a specific movie, start a random screening, or let continuous random screening play through your collection. Finished movies remain independent even after their original rolls are reorganized.
【A quiet film archive】
Rolls are stored on a physical shelf of metal film cans and paper records. Selecting a roll reveals five frames sampled across its complete timeline as a short filmstrip. Multiple rolls can also be selected and organized together.

・A new private screening room
Every successful export is now preserved in an in-app movie collection. Select a film reel box to watch it inside a dedicated auditorium with a dark seating area and projected screen.
・A film-inspired presentation
Each screening begins with a 3–2–1 film leader and cue frame. During playback, subtle projector flicker and restrained seat reflections respond to the movie. These presentation effects never modify the finished video or audio.
・A projected “Fin” card and instant replay
When the current movie truly ends, a film-textured “Fin” card appears inside the screen. Tap it to replay the same movie from the beginning without repeating the countdown.
・Random and continuous random screening
Choose a specific movie, start a one-time random screening, or let continuous random mode move through your collection.
・Portrait and landscape viewing
Switch orientation using the in-room control or by rotating your device. When leaving a landscape screening, the film archive automatically returns to portrait.
・A collection designed to grow
The newest movie receives a large featured reel box, while earlier films are arranged on compact two-column shelves. Sort by export date, year and month, recent playback, title, or duration.
・Five-frame archive previews
Selecting a roll now reveals a short 35mm strip containing five moments sampled across its complete timeline.
・Organize multiple rolls
Select and delete multiple film rolls together while continuing to see the information and filmstrip for the most recently selected roll.
