Wish it would work. ### 1/5 — Embarrassingly Bad *2025-04-18, version 3.5* There are so many awful things about this app. Phone crashes every time I attempt to scan the QR code. I was able to make it work on my iPad but the camera on the iPad is too unwieldy to make this a sustainable way to use the app. Worse, you actually have to type the title of the reminder or it shows up as “filofax” on your Apple calendar. One must ask, exactly what is the point? ### 1/5 — Good idea terrible execution *2025-04-12, version 3.5* If it worked it would be good. QR codes don’t like being scanned, you have to put in the details yourself, the system takes you to random pages for no apparent reason, it will not save you one minute of time it only adds to it. There’s no real relationship between the paper diary and the app diary using apple calendar in the normal way is probably better. There’s a germ of a good idea but it’s underdeveloped. I assume filofax were so keen to roll it out this year and not miss the printing deadline that they put something out that was not ready. Scanning the QR code is very hit and miss and pointless because everything has to be typed in anyway. I am big Filofax fan and was looking forward to using this app. Sadly the scanning is unreliable and often takes several attempts to get the correct date. QR codes are difficult to scan because, when they work they all scan, no little square to line up which day you want. Keeps telling me to update, but when selected just takes me to “open”. I’ve also noticed that it’s not intuitive with the date and time - seems like the calendar date and time reflects a “reminder” time rather than time of appointment. App needs a bit more refinement. It would be helpful if there was formatting in the additional information so you don’t need to take a photo of the page. Problem is, there are no instructions and opening. The app gives no clue how to link the Calendar. I tried scanning the QR on an individual page without results. Do we link an entire calendar initially or do we have to photograph each day? ### 2/5 — Not exactly a helpful app *2024-07-30, version 3.2* It would be helpful if there was a short instructional video before you start using the app. I signed up, gave it access to my diary, and the app just… sits there. Once you press new, it will take you to a date where you can put a photo of the event, name it, etc. but it’s not exactly any more helpful or quick than just adding it to the diary in your phone by yourself. By the time you’ve scanned the QR and taken the photo, you might as well have just added a note like ‘check filofax’ to your diary app of choice. ### 2/5 — Only works with their own QR codes *2024-03-30, version 3.0* You can’t input entries in to the app without scanning a QR code first, there is no option to input the date manually.
