But the issues are, the larger the project gets, the app starts to crash. When it crashes a few times the project will not export. It is possible to get the project out but it has to be done in segments. This is very time consuming, can be stressful and compromises the quality of the final product. The work around is to make the project in segments to start with. The app didn’t use to do this, please fix ### 3/5 — Missing basic features LUT STABILISATION *2026-08-19, version 3.3* If they would add multi-LUTs and stabilisation, it would be the perfect app… Such a missed opportunity. Glitched out on me several times and deleted my edits. Had to start over 3 times. Thought it was my fault the two times but by the third I can say it wasn’t me. ### 4/5 — A genuine opinion on the app and its price. *2026-07-31, version 12.3* I’ll be honest, I genuinely really like this app! The amount of freedom and opportunity for creativity is insane. I used to use other free editing apps for yearsss and they never gave me all the options Final Cut Pro offers. I switched over recently and I fell inlove, I love color grading and the sound effects and everything. and im not just saying that for the review.. now even though it has a ton of pros- the cons are there aswell. At first It can be a bit complicated- especially if you haven’t used iMovie or similar editing apps.. which makes it feel very overwhelming- but once you look up a tutorial, play around with it for a while and experiment, you will PROBABLY get used it. Im not really surprised that its so hard to control and figure out at the beginning since its such a step up from beginner apps and has so many features.. because their are so many features- a lot of the stuff is hidden away.. this can cause for the editing process to become very difficult and lengthy if you dont know the keybinds- which is why I recommend learning them immediately.. Now the only downside I truly hate about this app is the money. I understand completely why it’s money, especially since it’s such a step up for content creation and editing especially if you are a creator who used to use free editing software programs. and I think its great if your a creator whose dabbled in editing apps and your trying to step up your videos and improve not only your video but your editing skills.. but if your a beginner- I would recommend iMovie or other apps if your a windows or maybe a mobile. I would say only buy this app if you want a step up and you HAVE been doing content creation or have a background for editing apps due to the cons of it being complicated at first and how its money. ### 4/5 — Great app love fcp *2026-07-30, version 3.3* Great app I love fcp but my only problem is third party luts and effects support. I can’t actually color correct and grade my footage on the iPad I have to switch to my Mac, but everything else is buttery smooth and fast once that is added it would be a 5 star for me. ### 2/5 — SO much crashing *2026-07-28, version 3.3* Please fix…. ### 2/5 — MASSIVE waste of time *2026-07-28, version 12.3* First, I spent 15 minutes downloading the 7 GB app then, I had to pay for it which they never Tod me. ### 3/5 — Great core experience, but lacking features *2026-07-28, version 12.3* FCP’s core editing experience is great, and my favorite of the major video editing suites. The magnetic timeline is a game changer. The issue is that it lacks some of the features other editors have, such as strong AI audio enhancement, transcript-based editing, and Multicam auto-switch (DaVinci Resolve). Also, and I know this isn’t Apple’s fault, Frame.io integration being missing HURTS. Finally, FCP has been buggy lately and has crashed on me a decent amount (M1 Max with 32GB RAM, btw). That said, literally every editing suite has been bad about that at some poin in its existence. Overall, I want to continue to use FCP, and I hope the team at Apple is able to make FCP truly feature-competitive with other editing suites out there today. ### 3/5 — Ca bug ! *2026-07-25* Devoir fermer et rouvrir l’application toutes les 5 minutes parce que ça bug depuis la nouvelle mise à jour… Vraiment vu le prix mensuel je trouve ça exagérément abusé !!!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Glitchy *2026-08-19, version 12.3* I like a lot of the features on Final Cut Pro and the features allow for very good videos, however the software is glitchy and is currently not allowing me to export video. There is no help from the technical guide that solves the issue and the software stopped exporting, with no hint of what is going wrong. Come on Apple, you are better than this. ### 1/5 — ⚠️ Not for professional work *2026-08-18, version 3.3* Great app but buggy as hell and super limited. Use Lumafusion for professional work. Use this app for final touch ups like cuts and adding effects, transitions and copyright-free music. This app could easily be the best app if it were stable and not so laggy specially with long projects, even on an iPad Pro. iMovie isn’t this laggy, and it hasn’t been updated in over a year! It still has no LUT support or advanced color grading, no way to create and save custom presets/edits, no speed ramping, it's unable to reattach detached audio, no audio transitions. Yeah, Lumafusion looks trashy and disorganized compared to this but it's definitely more advanced in features and tools. ### 1/5 — Video clip doesn’t display in timeline *2026-08-13, version 3.3* I’m sure it’s only recent, but a video clip no longer displays in the timeline, just an image at the start. It’s impossible to edit it anymore. The Mac is fine but this iPad version doesn’t work. Change timeline name, crash, change it back crash, preview a video crash.
