### 2/5 — eh

*2022-06-16, version 1.1.2*

the combat is simple: rub your finger on the screen a bunch. thats it. the whole game. no story, no real plot, just a hot mash of reused sprites. its free, unless you pay the 47 dollars to play the full game, which is split up into one dollar loot box purchases. this isn't a final fantasy game, its a bad mobile game wearing final fantasy skin.

### 3/5 — Games great but DLC is over

*2021-07-24, version 1.1.2*

I been playing this game for a long time and I have to say it’s pretty good for a time killer but the DLC is not fun cause everything is overwhelming and over powered even get 100% on the weapons it’s still over powered and it basically wants you to spend money to use those hour glasses to keep fighting cause you can’t use fever so yea I do feel for a time killer it’s good but for a game to really sit down and play it’s trash I would say please nerf the DLC or buff all the weapons to make the DLC more enjoyable

### 2/5 — Mindless droll.

*2021-03-31, version 1.1.2*

I thought Final Fantasy One was boring!!
Wow; all this is is attack, they give you additional characters, attack, get an occasional new weapon, (that NO, you DONT get to choose, or see a difference in your attack).. and on and on.. but no end or point in sight..! Terrible..

### 3/5 — A good game that needs more

*2019-09-28, version 1.1.2*

If I could give the game 3 1/2 stars I would. But closer to 3 than 4 with the issues I have.
I spent about 20$ on this game. And only regret it because there isn’t enough content and I’ve beaten all the levels paid and free.
On top of that the money I spent deserves far more levels than it gave me. This game has about 60-70 total levels and needs about 3-500 with the same curve of advancement needed in the 60-70, levels.
But I like the idea for this game and wish there was a longer game similar to it

### 3/5 — Fun but

*2017-11-05, version 1.1.2*

I'm scared that when I finish it there will be nothing left. The game is fun but not fun enough to spend money on. There is no use for Gil received. Plus a buck for a premium is outrageous

### 1/5 — Mindless and pointless

*2017-09-07, version 1.1.2*

FF games are one of the few safe harbors for a true RPG. This is just mindless finger-swishing until bad guy is dead. No strategy, no role playing, no game.

Why would anyone make something like this?

### 3/5 — I gave it four stars because

*2017-02-24, version 1.1.2*

I gave it four stars because it makes you by characters in the game in you should at least pick your own characters that you get out of it because I wasted about $15 and I do not get the one that one guy wanted so I gave it four stars but I might give it three The only way I will give it five stars is if you guys a free Moogie

### 3/5 — Fun time waster; egregious microtransactions.

*2017-02-20, version 1.1.2*

I have a lot of ways to spend my free time, but I like having small distractions at my disposal. This game fills that role wonderfully. It's not really a "game" per se, but I find it entertaining and the fan service is amusing. You can really tell that the translator had a field day with the descriptions. However, I can't forgive the microtransactions. Having to pay $35 for all the premium characters in addition to $12 for the three world tickets is outrageous. I really think that you should, at the very least, be able to spend Gil to buy the characters. $4 for a world isn't terrible, but a dollar for a character that's just a sprite on the screen is too much. Square could have easily made enough money off the world tickets and hourglasses alone. And besides, while I'm all for a point system, making the points Gil is incredibly misleading.

TL;DR - A fun distraction if you are familiar with FF, but the microtransactions are far too much. And Gil can't be spent. It's just a score system.

### 1/5 — This Is The Worst Final Fantasy game!

*2017-02-02, version 1.1.2*

Dull combat, the fact it cost money to buy a character, you can't chose your character you want, and it's boring

### 1/5 — Stupid money wasting bad game

*2016-12-18, version 1.1.2*

1$ EVERY NEW PERSON!!!!!!!!!!! This is baaaaaaaaad and it is not even fun I sit and tap the screen and chaos ensues it is a disgrace to final fantasy it is BAD the only reason people play is they have the chance to get there favorite character from final fantasy or you get some stupid pig I sat with my 3ds and phone and played monster hunter a better game wile randomly taping my phone screen it's stupid and awfully frustrating to play

### 2/5 — Why do I get Gil when there is no using it?!

*2016-09-28, version 1.1.2*

First, the bad reviews, I believe, are from people expecting this to be a true FF game. It isn't and it isn't meant to be, it is a game easy to just pick up any time and play and if you see it the way it was meant to be it's a good game.
My dislikes are not being able to equip with what I want and would like a little more depth.
And, what the heck do you get Gil for, there is absolutely nothing to use it on. Did you throw that in just to give the game more of an FF feeling? Dumb

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Lost All Progression

*2023-01-27, version 1.1.2*

I have been playing for years and my data was on the cloud and now it’s gone when I upgraded my phone. Years of playing gone forever.

### 1/5 — Worst remake ever

*2022-04-17, version 1.1.2*

So when I played and died you guys put a timer on when we can play again. Which means I have to wait to play again after I die. When I saw that I quickly removed this game from my phone. Remove the timer to restart the game and let the player have continuous play. Screw you guys for wasting my data to download this game. Not worth the time.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2021-07-06, version 1.1.2*

Seriously one of the least fun mobile games out there.

### 1/5 — Two dumbed down for a FFGame no strategy or choices

*2020-08-06, version 1.1.2*

This is a free game so I’m not going to be too critical, but it’s like they just recycled content from the 16 bit classic games into a button masher. It just makes you want to play an actual old game. There is 0 strategy or options and you can’t even spend your Gill on anything it’s just the equivalent of a score. Everything is automatic equipment etc. nothing to do no choices to make no menus can’t equip or change anything just takes you along a path on the map from one battle to another all you do in battle is swipe the screen as fast as you can ... this may be fun if your 4 yrs old but if you grew up on FF games this is nostalgic, and disappointing / frustrating at the same time. It feels incredibly shallow.. Can’t spend your game $ but they still have things you can waste your actual cash on .. that’s why they made this game to sell you pixels...

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2020-05-17, version 1.1.2*

The game is boring, it’s just you tapping on the screen multiple times, it gets repetitive and boring after a while, it’s also a cash grab to get you money just so you could get your favorite character, but most of the time it’s just a generic character.

### 1/5 — The most boring game ever

*2019-11-10, version 1.1.2*

I walked into this game thinking it was going to be an rpg. After all, it looks like one. But disappointment comes a lot in this game when you first play it. All you do is tap the characters to win the battle. Or if you figure it out, swipe the screen. This game can be summed up with you swipe the screen. Also another thing, you have to pay for the characters and locations. Wanna play as cloud? 1 dollar. Wanna one of the best locations in final fantasy? 7 dollars. Many people called this one of the worst games of the year, and I can agree with that. The only good thing is that the sprites from final fantasy 1 are actually kind of cool. Ignore the 5 star reviews. Their just mobile gamers who like pay to win games. Like this one and dungeon keeper.

### 1/5 — Waste

*2019-04-14, version 1.1.2*

This game is designed to deliver minimal play for your money. The players are weak, Gil means nothing, and it's nothing but battle after battle. You can buy new characters or maps, but it's the same thing just different pixels. Don't waste your time.

### 1/5 — This is not a game, it’s an insult

*2019-03-10, version 1.1.2*

Square has always been a company I love and respect, but this trash is an all too common type of smut this company has been releasing ever since they found out how addictions on phones work. This is pure fan exploit, and they should be ashamed of themselves. In this game, you literally slide your finger across a screen until you are asked to wait hours to do that again, or pay REAL MONEY to slide a finger. There is no customization, differences in the characters, fun, or respect for that matter.

Shame on you square Enix. Do better.

### 1/5 — Ffs

*2018-12-09, version 1.1.2*

Okay this is not a game in the slightest. This is a pathetic attempt at a cash grab. All you do is tap on the little guys and they attack the enemy. The enemy attacks you and wipes you out and you wait for more guys to come in, 3 minutes per guy. Square needs to be ashamed of itself and anyone giving them money for this is a total idiot.

### 1/5 — Cash Grab

*2017-10-02, version 1.1.2*

I played this game a while back and enjoyed it. Then, I kept wanting to get more characters and all of the money in my iTunes account was taken out. Don't waste your time on this sorry excuse of a cash grab. All they want is your money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I miss this game

*2021-07-12, version 1.1.2*

i can feel all the good memories coming back!!! i loved this game as a kid!

### 5/5 — Surprisingly Good

*2021-06-28, version 1.1.2*

When I first so the game I thought I should give it a go when i played, it was REALLY fun. It is very simple but very good and I like playing it. There are no problems (so far) it’s not a pay to win (I don’t think).

### 5/5 — Good Game, a bit too short...

*2020-06-24, version 1.1.2*

It’s a nice change of pace from regular JRPGs, but keep in mind that it’s a mobile game, not a fully fledged console game

### 5/5 — Review of FF ATB by ++KitsyKat++

*2018-07-18, version 1.1.2*

I found this game a fun Final Fantasy crossover, the first one I ever played. My joys come from the fact that you have a huge party, and that there are many enemies to fight, gear to find, and characters to meet. I even enjoy tearing the weaker enemies to shreds! The only flaw I can think of (besides micro transactions) is that they turned all of the enemies into freaking damage sponges. Even the god dang GOBLINS! I would recommend this game to any fans and newbies alike!

### 5/5 — Fun For What It Is

*2016-09-16, version 1.1.2*

Yes this is not a true Final Fantasy game with the Final Fantasy RPG gameplay. Yes, the gameplay isn't meant to be for very long. I found this game to be very fun and entertaining for what it was though. A quick little game to play when you're bored for a few minutes until your party dies and you move on to something else. A quick game for when you're sitting around bored wondering what to play and you see your party respawned. I've never seen a game with mechanics done like this, and I loved it. So yes, it's different from your typical RPG styled Final Fantasy game, but a mobile game with unique mechanics and gameplay that I very much enjoyed.

### 5/5 — What's the point?

*2016-06-26, version 1.1.2*

I really enjoy this game the only problem I have is why do I collect so much Gil when I have no reason to use them? I have to buy characters with actual money and buy the airship ticket with actual money, so what's the point in having Gil? I wish we could use it instead of it taking up screen space.

### 4/5 — Updates

*2020-07-21, version 1.1.2*

New free areas new free characters and so on js

### 4/5 — Mindless fun, but at what cost?

*2019-08-21, version 1.1.2*

Here we have a simple game whose entire schtick is "how fast can you scrub your screen?" . That's literally all you do. And let's face it: you don’t get much for that unless the RNG gods want you to have something.

While it's easy to say Worst. Game. Ever. for being so dull and money-grubby along with the fact that you’re going to Game Over a lot, it is what it is in that it fills out time spent waiting on more serious titles in the franchise.

It has been many a year since this title has had any updates from its devs, and let's just say All the Bravest is well overdue a refresh. For starters, find a use for that gil.

You will mop, mop, mop all day long like a janitor before an Adam Sandler thrashing, but it is a fine game if you just want to play in short bursts.

### 4/5 — Making it more FF like

*2019-07-01, version 1.1.2*

The premium characters should have a chance to be unlock able not by random chance or money but by defeating boss and characters like cloud could be your reward I just don’t want FF to be another pay to win but in all honesty this game is great.

### 4/5 — My previous issue has been resolved and my characters returned

*2019-01-01, version 1.1.2*

This game is great for what it is, a fun fan servicey distraction for those times you have a few minutes to kill. Hilarious descriptions, entertaining if gimmicky combat, and a series spanning spectrum of enemies make the game interesting.

My only complaint is it’ll cost you around $50 to get everything, and there simply isnt $50 worth of game. Maybe make the premium characters $.25~.50? Would really improve public perception of the game
