However… *2023-08-06* I am surprised with the bunch of cool features that are amazingly super in “Finale” compared to the top rated task management apps. Finale resembles tick tick sometimes, but very legible and flexible than tick tick imo. Beautiful design with multiple color themes, Satisfying haptic when you hit to complete a task/ habit, Focus timer showing as running in the menu & main view, a thoughtful monthly view widget, Calendar integration is pretty sweet compared to other apps, Display of tasks, habits & notes in today view is nice, Tasks priority, Lists coloring & icon, Swipe actions on a task, Smart lists, and the list goes on in this app! Though it was cool with above features, I have the below list of features request for more usability, 1. Multiple views to quickly glance at weekly/ monthly/ yearly tasks (going back to other apps because of this) 2. Badly in need of Apple Watch complications & full support to add & edit 3. Progress bar on task, if part of Sub tasks are completed 4. Display the number of sub tasks (as 1/4) on a task 5. Timer Live activities in the Lock Screen when focus timer is running 6. I was also glad to see aside from a $2.99/month there was a $9.99/lifetime option. I use reminders a lot and had a slew of them on the “Reminders” app. Was very happy to see the integration which brought over all my previously set reminders. A one star miss because: 1- there is no every other week reminder option. (I spoke to the developer and he advised of a workaround with a potential release in an upcoming update) 2- would be nice if when the reminders were brought over, the schedule was kept to some extent. I did have to reset all the schedules and notifications. Overall, well worth the purchase though as it contains a bit more detail than the native “Reminders” app. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review! Periodic reminders, like "every other week" are already out, hope you'll enjoy it :) ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Crashes when sharing task list *2024-04-23* Paid for pro version to enable sharing tasks lists but the app crashes each time I try. This problem repeats on other devices also with paid accounts. Reached out to the developer and didn't receive a response. ### 1/5 — Not worth paying for. *2023-11-13* I liked how the app works in general, and decided to take it to the next level by upgrading to the paid version, since this would allow me to sync across my iphone and mac. To my disappointment, the apps do not sync well across the systems. As a result, anything i put on my phone, i do not see on my laptop until days later, which ends up being wasted effort. To add to this, Finale does not have a contact email address to reach out for troubleshooting. So i have no one to troubleshoot this issue with, and my down however much i spent for it. I DO NOT recommend spending any money on this app. There are plenty of to-do list apps available in the app store, i recommend using a different one. ### 1/5 — Todays update broke app customizations *2023-04-22, version 6.0.2* I have the lifetime membership. I make lists, I check them off. But, It doesn't sync across devices, which is important to me. And their help and tech support has been completely non-existant.
