Mobile first? Not in this case. Nothing really works out of the box. Possible to build own mobile workspaces, however for iPhone and iPad it never will ever do the job. The UI is super pathetic. Designed by someone who never thought about a user journey. All up Microsoft embarrassing app. Take it down, save face. Then back to the drawing board. Use people who understand mobile ERP instead of generic techies. Massive failure. Cannot be used. ### 1/5 — Embarrassingly bad *2020-11-16, version 2.2.9* As a d365 admin, this is embarrassing to respond to request to use this app. No way could I in good conscious ever allow a user to put this on their device. How has Microsoft allowed this to drag on for so long? Lastly, why the heck does it have the same icon as RSAT? ### 1/5 — Crashes repeatedly and needs to be reinstalled *2020-04-15* This app is not fit for purpose. It’s very unstable, and crashes repeatedly when run on iOS 12.4.1 The only way to get round this is to delete and reinstall. ### 1/5 — Frequently locks up *2020-02-24, version 2.2.7* Frequently locks up when capturing an expense receipt. Cannot delete, cannot restart, and ultimately have to delete and reload app. Needs a lot of work.... ### 1/5 — Unfriendly, unusable *2020-02-21, version 2.2.7* The most user UNFRIENDLY app ever. Dynamics 365 is a combination of all of MS Office's best softwares, but with all of the useful features removed. This app doesn't adjust for full screen, has no functionality, and is haphazardly thrown together. Stick to the bad desktop version rather than the worse mobile version. ### 1/5 — Hangs at the logo screen *2019-12-13, version 2.2.6.0* I wish this app actually worked, because the d365 web app is beyond terrible. Halfway through my expense report the app will no longer open, it just hangs at the logo screen. I noticed someone posted a comment having the same issue a year ago. I wonder what expense application Microsoft uses? I bet it’s not D365! ### 1/5 — Crashes *2019-02-18* Works for several occasions then crashes. Opens on blue screen with Dynamics logo but freezes on this page. You then need to delete reinstall and start again. On this basis I don’t recommend this app as not fit for purpose. ### 1/5 — Painful and buggy *2018-12-17, version 2.2.3.0* If you like typing in URLs then this app is for you. It usually forgets the D365 site I am connecting to so I have to type it in again. Also get sync errors about 1/3 of time when entering expenses ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Literally useless *2024-07-08* Hoped this might modernise and ease the painful process of submitting expenses in the D365 desktop app. It does not. Useless. Just tried again after a few months on the hope it had been fixed. Still useless. Tried using it differently but only found new ways in which it doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — No longer working *2024-06-11* Was never great. Appears to no longer connect as it is trying to connect via http rather than https. Terrible that it’s not been updated in so long. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2023-11-08* Probably the worst app I’ve ever had to work with. Doesnt remember log ins, can’t sync anything quickly, ‘dies’ halfway through any action. All around awful. I hope they put some time and money into this app.. it would be really helpful. ### 1/5 — It’s trash *2022-02-08, version 2.2.11* Regularly freezes up while syncing a picture as an expense justification. The only way to “fix” this is to delete the app and reload it, but you then loose the image that you were loading in. Good luck if you don’t have the original copy to take a picture of again. This app is the worst technology my company uses and if I could use anything else I would. I relish the day when we finally switch to something else. I’d rather go back to doing expense reports with a hard copy of my CC statement and attaching receipts. If there was a way to give zero stars I would choose that. One star is too high. It’s beyond bad. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2021-11-04, version 2.2.11* Doesn’t connect, can’t connect to a UAT site, just sits on a spinner stating “Logging you in” Logging into the site works without a problem from a desktop. Avoid using this app. I swear, this does nothing to improve process. Is rather go back to excel spreadsheet and faxing receipts. 18 months of a pandemic you’d think they would Give this some love. ## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated) ### 3/5 — Sign out after every use *2019-08-01* If you sign out after every use , it does not seem to hang in the blue screen and need reinstalling when you next use it. Fairly painless to do that and using the app generally is pretty good. ### 3/5 — Wrong date *2018-06-09* In Expense, when you select a date it takes the previous day. Capture receipt sometimes fails to sync. Overall much better than old AX expense app. ### 2/5 — Please make a new version! *2020-02-08* This app has the potential to make life so easy, instead it is infuriating to use - painfully slow, frequent sync failures, random errors. When you select a text box, it loses focus after about 1 second so when you type, nothing happens.
