## What is Find a restroom, fast?

When you need a restroom, you don't need a search engine. You need to know
which one you can actually get into, right now.

급똥지도 (Poopoo Map) covers over 50,000 restrooms across South Korea —
every public restroom in the government's national open dataset, plus
privately opened restrooms in shopping arcades, mixed-use towers and
officetels that users have added themselves.

WHAT YOU SEE BEFORE YOU RUN

• Distance and walking time, closest first
• Which floor, and how to find it inside the building
• Opening hours, and whether it's open 24 hours
• Separate or shared, and whether it's customer-only
• Accessible stalls, baby changing tables, paper, bidets

A MAP, NOT JUST A LIST

A list only tells you what's closest. The map tells you what's in the
direction you're already walking — a place 300 m ahead beats one 200 m
behind you.

Pin colors show how much the information can be trusted at a glance.

BUILT FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T READ KOREAN

• Restroom names and addresses come with romanization, so you can show
them to a taxi driver or read them off a sign
• Opening hours are written by each agency as free-form Korean text
("평일 09:00~18:00, 공휴일 휴무"). We translate them into English,
Japanese and Chinese so they're actually readable
• Directions hand off to Naver Map or Apple Maps, whichever you prefer

WE TELL YOU WHEN WE'RE NOT SURE

Open data isn't always right. Some addresses stop at the district level,
so the coordinates land on a city office instead of the restroom. We
detect those and label them "approximate" — before you start walking,
not after you arrive.

Every place carries a trust score and the date a real person last checked
it on site. Checking in only counts within 50 m of the restroom, so
"verified" means someone was actually standing there.

IT GETS BETTER WHEN YOU HELP

Add a restroom you use. Confirm one you just visited. Post a photo of the
entrance. Contributors who register and verify enough places stop seeing
ads entirely.

WORKS WITHOUT LOCATION

No location permission? Browse by province and city instead. Every feature
that doesn't need your position still works.

Restroom data from the Korea Public Data Portal's national public restroom
dataset, used under KOGL Type 1. Actual opening hours and access can change
at each agency's discretion.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.6 — 2026-09-25

Bug fixes.
· Fixed the Profile screen drifting sideways when scrolled.
· Fixed long explanatory text being cut off.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-30

• You can now narrow the list. Tap the filter button above the list or the map to pick Open now, Accessible stall, or Baby changing table. Turn on more than one and you only get places that match all of them.

• Open now reads the opening hours in the public data. Places that never listed their hours are left out rather than sent to you on a guess, and the screen says so.

• When you add a toilet you can take the photo right there. It is uploaded directly without being saved to your photo library, and the location data attached to the photo is stripped before upload.

• You can now pick "Public restroom" when adding one. Use it for park and trail restrooms that are not in the government data.

• Fixed the support video failing to load the first time you tapped it. It opens on the first tap now.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-27

• After a visit you can leave one line about how to actually get in. Public data never says which door or which floor, so that single line is the most useful thing anyone can add. We ask once, quietly, from the Lock Screen.

• Put a widget on your Home Screen and directions start with one tap, without opening the app. Also works from the Lock Screen, Control Center and the Action Button.

• "Hey Siri, nearest toilet on Poopoo Map" now works.

• Right under the nearest one, we show a surer option a bit farther away. A few hundred metres more beats arriving at a locked door.

• Fixed a crash when opening toilet details from the Map tab.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-26

• Long-press a restroom in the list and the card lifts with a menu underneath — you can see what you are choosing.
• The map you pick in Settings (Naver or Apple) now applies to "Show on map" too. Before, only directions followed it.
• Buttons and cards only responded to taps on the text. The whole thing is tappable now.
• Presses feel the same in every list — they used to differ from screen to screen.
• Tap an empty area to dismiss the keyboard. It no longer covers the send button on the report form.
• Fixed tags spilling outside the card in the list.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-24

Now with a map.

• Map tab — see nearby restrooms at a glance. A list only tells you what's
closest; a map tells you what's in the direction you're already heading.
• Pin colors show how far the information can be trusted. Green is well
verified, yellow needs a check. A question mark means the coordinates are
  approximate.
• Tap a pin and the details slide up. Drag the panel higher for floor,
hours and amenities, then start directions right from it.
• Better contrast in dark mode on the map screen.
