## What is Find My Bus?

Find My Bus - SG is your bus and MRT companion for Singapore. See the next 3 bus arrival times, live bus positions on the map, track your commute, and see your favorite stops on a widget. Works alongside your favorite Maps.

I built this app entirely on my own. As a solo developer, my goal is simply to help my fellow Singaporeans. I promise you will find it useful, so please give it a try! If you would like to see more features, just let me know in the feedback tab. If it is possible to include them, I will definitely add them for you.

• Next 3 bus arrival times at any stop
• Live bus locations on the map
• Several buses to your stop? See which one’s time suits you best
• Favourites tab (set it as your welcome screen in Settings)

### 1.7 — 2026-03-07

## v1.7 — February 2026

- **NUS internal shuttle buses** — They are free and nice, so why now have them. The app now includes NUS campus shuttle services (A1, A2, D1, D2, K, P, R1, R2) with live arrival times. NUS shuttles appear in a dedicated "NUS Shuttle" section in the bus service list and at NUS stops; route stops and reachable stops work the same as for public buses. Stop names follow the official NUS website (e.g. University Hall, College Green, Opp SDE 3). The NUS section is only shown at stops that actually serve NUS shuttles.
- **Set destination from search (no route selected)** — When only a bus stop is selected (no bus service chosen), search results now show "Set as destination" on all stops reachable from that stop. if multiple buses go there, the app shows their arrival times so you can pick one, then it selects stop, route, and destination together.
- **Zoom no longer interferes with bus stops** — Pinch-to-zoom and two-finger gestures on the Buses map no longer conflict with tapping or selecting bus stop markers; zoom and stop selection work independently.
- **Tap another stop to select or set destination** — When a bus stop is already selected, tapping a different bus stop on the map centers the map on that stop and shows a popup: "Set as destination" (or "Change destination" if one is already set) and "Select this stop". Choosing set/change destination runs the same flow as before (auto-select bus, picker, or no-bus alert); choosing select makes that stop the new start stop.

---

## v1.6 — February 2026

- **Set destination from search** — When searching in the Buses tab, if a result is a bus stop reachable from your currently selected stop, an orange "Set as destination" button appears below it. If only one bus connects the two stops, it's auto-selected; if multiple buses go there, a picker shows their next arrival times so you can choose.
- **Buses search improvements** — Search results are no longer capped at 5 (now 30): all matching bus stops and places are shown in a scrollable list. When you pick a result, the search bar closes and clears. For same-name stops (e.g. "Blk 109"), each result now shows the stop code, road name, and distance from you (e.g. "350 m" or "1.2 km"); results are sorted by distance so the right stop or location is easy to spot.

If only one bus connects the two stops, it's auto-selected; if multiple buses go there, a picker shows their next arrival times so you can choose.

- **Set destination in Related Bus Stops** — In the sheet that opens when you tap the selected bus stop row (Reachable by 1 bus tab), a new "Set destination" section appears under Selected Stop and Reachable Favorites. It has "Select bus service" and "Pick destination from map" (same as the Set destination alert sheet). When you pick a bus service, the list below shows only stops on that bus’s route so you can set destination or add to favorites from there.

## Summary of changes since v1.1 (v1.1 → v1.5)

- **v1.1** — Your Assistant (on-device AI tab); Favorite Trips; star pill to add trip; navigate button to Maps; Weather forecast in Feedback; rain/umbrella reminder on Buses map.
- **v1.2** — Theme color (dark/light); live bus bubble compact "X min."; visual tweaks.

- **v1.5** — Transit map style (Buses & MRT); route line tap centers popup; refresh on tab open; MRT station dots (larger, line colors).

### 1.5 — 2026-02-28

## v1.5 — February 2026

- **Transit map style** — Buses and MRT tabs both use the transit map style: muted base map and public transport points of interest so bus stops, lines, and stations stand out.
- **Route line tap** — When you tap a bus route line and multiple services share that stretch, the “choose service” popup appears; the map now centers on the tapped point so the popup sits over the line.
- **Refresh on tab open** — When you open the Buses or Favorites tab (by switching to it or when the app becomes active on that tab), that tab’s data is refreshed: location and nearby stops on Buses, favorite arrivals on Favorites. It was max 30 sec old, but anyway, you don't need to refresh to make sure anymore :).
- **MRT station dots** — On the MRT tab map, station markers are larger and more visible: white circles with a border in the line’s color, centered on the lines. Mini code tags use a pill-shaped background; dot border colors match line colors in dark mode.

---

## v1.4 — February 2026

- **Large widget** — Favorite Buses and Favorite Stops widgets now support the large size (up to 12 items), for people who favorite many buses or stops.
- **General text size** — In Settings, a new slider lets you scale all app text from 0.8× to 1.3×. Bus numbers and arrival times keep their own separate “Bus & time text size” control.
- **Updated contact information** — Support and feedback contact details refreshed across the app and support materials.
- **Anonymous usage statistics** — The app collects anonymized usage data (e.g. which tabs and features are used) using only Apple native APIs (Foundation, URLSession). 100% privacy respected. No third-party SDKs, no user IDs, no device fingerprinting; data is used to improve the app and can be viewed in a simple dashboard.
- **Visual consistency** — Map pills capped at 1.1× text size; route pill scales with general text size. Settings list starts under the nav bar; User Preferences rows aligned. Buses map top-right controls use the same edge and spacing as the bottom-left pills. etc. etc. I mean who cares about these mini adjustments, but I still write some lah :)

---

## v1.3 — February 2026

- **Light theme icon** — App icon now has a dedicated white-background variant for light theme (home screen and appearance). Dark, tinted, and glass modes continue to use the dark icon.
- **Performance improvements**
- **Widget localization** — Widgets (Favorite Buses, Favorite Stops, and destination alert) now use the app language: English, 中文, Malay, Tamil, and Singlish.
- **Destination route fix** — When a stop appears more than once on a route (e.g. loop), destination listing and “does this bus go there?” now use the same rule (forward leg only), so they stay in sync.

---

## v1.2 — February 2026

- **Theme color** — In Settings you can set a custom theme color for the app’s main text. Choose a color for dark mode and one for light mode; it applies to most text across the app. The Theme color row shows the current color so you can see your choice at a glance. Reset to system defaults anytime from the theme color sheet.
- **Visual uplift** — Besides themes and color overhaul, live bus speech bubbles on the Buses map now show a compact “X min.” (or “Now”) so the bubbles stay small; when you tap for the fun two-line message, the bus icon no longer shifts on the map. Small tweaks to bubble text position for a cleaner look.

### 1.4 — 2026-02-25

- **Requested Features: Weather forecast** — New weather utility in Feedback with rain-focused design; opens a bottom sheet with live forecast (rain chance/amount, temperature, next hours). Can be starred and launched from Favorite Utilities.
- **Rain notification (umbrella reminder)** — New umbrella button on the Buses map highlights when rain is likely in the next 1–2 hours (blue glow), stays grey otherwise, and opens the rain-focused weather forecast sheet on tap.
