There was a shoe box on a low stool so I looked in there to no avail and spied the strap sticking out of the back of the bottom of the fridge freezer. I just thought ‘we’ll it’s worth a look, it’s probably just a shoe lace or bit of tat. To immense relief it was the whole strap and Fitbit. The strap was disengaged at the face perhaps because of the dust cover and I think the strap and dust cover are potentially a slight design fault as I’m guessing the strap end that fits into the face had come apart and the whole shebang had come off perhaps when I was carrying washing or something like that.
