## What is FindATalk?

The message you didn't know you needed.

FindATalk helps you draw nearer to Jesus Christ by hearing His voice through His inspired leaders. It's a fast, focused way to land on a General Conference talk, with no study plan and nothing to set up. Picking a topic for a talk, looking for something to read tonight, or just want to be surprised? One tap gets you a talk. It's a doorway to the Gospel Library, not a rival to it.

WHAT IT DOES
• Draw a random talk from a curated library spanning April 1971 to today. That's over 4,000 real, verified talks, no gaps.
• Narrow the pool by speaker, calling at the time of the talk, topic, or conference. Filters combine, so you can get as specific or as broad as you like.
• Search titles and summaries directly, using everyday topic words, not just official terms. You can also search by a scripture or hymn a talk cites.
• A "Come, Follow Me" tab surfaces talks matching this week's reading, with a link straight to that week's page in the Church's own manual.
• A home screen widget shows a talk right on your device, no need to open the app.

KEEP TRACK
• Star favorites, keep personal notes, and build a reading streak just by opening talks.
• Every talk you open is logged to Recently Viewed, with a count once you've read it more than once, and a "Most Read" sort to see your all-time favorites.
• See your own reading pace and progress. It's just for you, with no leaderboards and no comparing.
• Build your own named lists, like a talk night lineup or a Sunday School unit, and select several talks at once to add them.
• Back up your Favorites, Recents, and Lists to a file, and restore them later or on a new device.

SHARE LISTS WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Invite others into a list and build it together. Everyone can add and remove talks, and each talk shows who added it. Your notes, reading, and streak stay private. Everyone in a shared list needs to be signed in.

SIGN IN TO SYNC (OPTIONAL)
Create an account with email/password, Apple, or Google, and your Favorites, Notes, Lists, and streak sync automatically across every device you're signed in on. Signing in is optional, and everything except shared lists works fully offline with no account.

EARN BADGES
Earn badges for streak milestones (7/30/100/365 days) and reading milestones (10/50/100/250/500/1,000 talks) and look back at everything you've earned on a My Badges page. A few surprises are hidden too.

STAY REMINDED
Optional notifications for a Daily Reminder, a heads-up when a new conference goes live, a nudge if your streak is about to lapse, a note when you earn a badge, and a Weekly Come, Follow Me Reminder on Sunday mornings. All are separately toggleable and off until you turn them on.

SHARE
Share a talk, your current streak, a badge you've earned, or a whole list with one tap. Anyone who opens a list link, with the app installed or just in a browser, lands on their own Lists page and is asked to confirm before anything is added.

BUILT ON REAL DATA
Every topic tag comes from the Church's own official general conference topics index, not guessed from titles. Callings are tagged for the specific conference at which the talk was given, so a talk from someone's years as a Seventy shows as Seventy, even if they were later called as an Apostle.

FREE FOR EVERYONE
FindATalk is free and always will be, and it's welcoming to members and the curious alike. If you'd like to support ongoing development, an optional one-time tip is available from the trophy button. It's never required, and never shown as an ad.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Signing in is optional and used only to sync your own data across your own devices. Shared lists show your chosen display name to the other members of that list.

FindATalk is an independent, fan-made tool. It is not produced by, endorsed by, or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. For the complete official library, visit churchofjesuschrist.org/study/general-conference.
