I would like it for the app to use the zipcode or name of town & state to search nearby. So instead i hit search and use the app for nearby that way. By using the gps on the phone it decreases battery life. Other then that it’s a great app-i just would like to have the option of using less of my battery. ### 4/5 — Tons of potential *2016-05-21, version 4.0.0* Great idea, but execution needs work. After using the app to add and look for things, I wish there was a way to filter out random posts from people i.e. Dinner with family at ______. And instead have, say categories, to select what kind of post your note is (museum, park, restaurant, historic location, personal memory, etc.). ### 2/5 — Awesome idea but there's no way to work it *2015-02-27, version 3.1.0* I tried the help bar and cannot seem to figure this out. Wanted to add my Europe travels but every time it would say my current location. Directions said to tap the create bar to make a note. There is no create bar anywhere. I have an iPhone 6. ### 3/5 — Not for locals *2014-12-27, version 3.0.1* This app is great for tourists wanting to take a page out of another travelers book, but is just about useless for locals. The first 3 "found" spots, were a well-known local restaurant, a graffiti wall (I live in Austin, it would be more impressive to find a wall that doesn't have graffiti art on it) and the 20 mile park running through the city.. It took about 5 minutes to find something that I didn't know was here, or that was worth clicking on, and it ended up being a 'fun tourist activity' an hour and a half from where I live. I will say, this issue isn't due to the makers of the app, and the app itself is fairly easy to navigate, but there needs to be some separation from the tourists visiting and ranting about places you've been to 100 times, and locals that found random cool stuff that's unknown to most. ### 5/5 — Great update *2014-12-03, version 3.0* Findery is a cool app in that it isn't one size fits all. People use it for many different things, like leaving historical notes for family members or documenting a trip or making an old city come alive with cool facts and ideas about places to go. This new update is awesome. The near far thing is cool. Now I just have to start my project: documenting all the places I've been! Great job on the new look and functionality!! ### 2/5 — App needs work *2014-10-15, version 2.2.0* Some interesting info but this app needs some user interface improvements. For example, a "back" button would be first on the list so that after you read an entry you can go back to your search results. And I don't care if this is the furthest you have been from your home country. There can be no doubt I have a strong bias, but I am still astonished at how many contributors have come and made this a bazaar of infinite discovery. ### 5/5 — One happy chickie *2014-06-02, version 2.1.0* Love the new ui. It's a lot easier to find stuff and more user friendly. One suggestion would love to see a tab or something close to it of the notes we follow instead of having to search by person. The icon looks like it's waiting to update, but it's been looking like that for a few weeks. Adding notes I like to Notemaps has been a great way to keep track of places I want to go someday. ### 3/5 — Lots of potential Here *2014-03-09, version 2.0.2* Ok, here is the only conceivable future for this app. All pinpoints need to be sorted into either "public" or "private". Allow users to vote a pinpoint to "private" and out of the public domain. Allow me to see "private" pinpoints for contacts who allow me to. Otherwise this is just going to be a mess. Nothing works anymore. Can’t get into old account. Can’t create new account. Beautiful stories and memories lost forever.
