## What is FindShot?

Keep important screenshots. Keep your photo library tidy.

FindShot is your local screenshot library. Save orders, receipts, appointments, conversations and ideas, then choose whether to remove the originals from Photos after the local copies are checked. Later, search screenshot text, titles, tags or notes to find what you need.

SAVE SAFELY, THEN CHOOSE
• Browse new screenshots by date, import selected images or save from the system share menu.
• Avoid importing the same screenshot twice. FindShot verifies saved files. Before removing originals, FindShot checks the local copies and their sources again.
• Removal starts only when you choose it and confirm with the system. With iCloud Photos enabled, deletions sync to other devices; storage may not be freed immediately.

FIND IT AND USE IT
• Recognize text on your device and see matching passages in search results.
• Extract links, phone numbers, email addresses, dates, amounts and QR codes. Choose to copy, open or add a calendar event.
• Add categories, tags, favorites and notes to remember why you saved a screenshot.

REDACT BEFORE SHARING
• Cover, blur or pixelate private details, with undo and redo.
• Export a redacted copy without changing the original screenshot in your library.

YOUR LIBRARY, IN YOUR HANDS
• Screenshots stay in local storage and text recognition runs on your device. No FindShot account is needed, and screenshots are not uploaded to FindShot servers.
• Export and restore a complete backup with images, titles, categories, tags, favorites and notes. Backup and restore are free.

FREE AND FINDSHOT PRO
The free version holds up to 100 screenshots and includes text search, basic information extraction, organization, manual redaction, original cleanup, backup and restore. Reaching the import limit does not lock access to your existing library or exports.

FindShot Pro is a one-time purchase. It removes the screenshot limit and adds extraction and collections for addresses, tracking numbers, order numbers and merchants; suggested redaction areas for you to review; and an app lock using biometrics or your device passcode. Previous Pro purchases can be restored. See the in-app price for your region.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-17

FindShot 1.2 brings saving, photo cleanup and finding screenshots together:

• Save and verify local copies, then choose to remove eligible originals from Photos with system confirmation.
• Improved text search and multilingual recognition, with useful links, dates, amounts and more ready to act on.
• Complete library backup and restore, including images, titles, categories, tags, favorites and notes, available for free.
• Refined redaction and organization, plus original-status checks before deleting local copies.
• The free version holds up to 100 screenshots. Pro adds advanced information extraction, redaction suggestions and app lock; previous lifetime purchases can be restored.
• Better handling of unfinished imports and interrupted restores, plus improved localization across eight languages.

### 1.1 — 2026-05-31

This update makes screenshot organization more stable and smoother:

- You can now directly remove added tags from the detail page, making it easy to quickly correct any mistakes.
- Search history is only recorded after confirming a search, preventing half-entered keywords from being saved.
- Batch actions like categorizing, tagging, favoriting, and moving now only apply to selected screenshots within the current search or filter results.
- Quick organization via the share extension is more stable, and failed saves will automatically clean up incomplete local files.
- Optimized OCR queue and home screen search performance for smoother use with large numbers of screenshots.
- Completed missing multilingual translations.
