### 2/5 — Not easy or efficient to use at all

*2015-06-28, version 2.73*

The app has potential but would also require a major redesign. My overall feeling is that the app was designed by someone who had never seen or used any other CAD system before, and had no good ideas on how to make creating and editing entities easy and efficient. Though the app is usable (and there are manuals and video examples available now), it is anything but intuitive. Even when you learn the unusual ways to create and edit, they are simply not efficient at all (compared to other CAD systems/apps and to common sense). Maybe after a major rethink and redesign this app may be worth considering, but for now, these drawbacks make it not worth investing the time to learn and remember the very unusual ways or work with it.

### 1/5 — Wow...

*2012-04-15, version 1.82*

This app was ridiculous... It was extremely confusing, and clunky. It seemed laggy.

### 1/5 — Too difficult

*2012-04-14, version 1.82*

Thought I was stupid. Let an autocad operator try it out. He was lost also. Refund?

### 1/5 — Hard

*2012-04-12, version 1.82*

Can I get my money back?

### 1/5 — Confusing Mess

*2012-04-10, version 1.82*

User Guide uses unfamiliar terms. Unable to dimension drawing components. VERY UNINTUITIVE. Definitely not worth the money.
The write up describing the program is impressive, but don't believe it. It was written by someone in Europe. They must work differently than the U S A.

### 1/5 — se la conosci la eviti!

*2012-04-02, version 1.82*

### 1/5 — Awesome waste of money

*2012-03-17, version 1.81*

If you have ever used a CAD program before, do not download. This program is terrible. Even sad, cheap and simple CAD programs offer ten times what this app can. 10 minutes and 10 bucks down the drain.

### 1/5 — Mr

*2012-01-03, version 1.78*

Bought this fairly expensive app to lay out a simple granite base in 2d approximately 40 by 48 with angled edges. A fairly simple task you would think. Not with this package. I could not get my drawing space under 1000 by a 1000 inches and was unable to get a one inch grid. The drawing tools and snap tools were not intuitive. I had to go back to turbo cad to complete task. Need turbo cad to develope an app.

### 1/5 — Needs more work

*2012-01-02, version 1.78*

Did not work well for me. Example: Drawing a box and trying to annotate measurements. In the x-axis this worked well. In the y-axis the length of the line, in the selected units, was not displayed until lifting your finger. Drawing both annotations in the x-axis and trying to rotate one 90 degrees did not work. Rotation is available in 1 degree increments, and after about 40 presses it loses focus. I read the online docs, and spent about 20 minutes trying to label a box, then gave up.

### 1/5 — Not Good

*2011-10-14, version 1.76*

It lacks critically important features like the ability to numerically define positions, lengths, etc.

The interface is overly complex, unintuitive, and incomplete. It fails to take full advantage of touch paradigms, instead opting to feel like a mouse-based program.

This is not a passable cad app.

### 1/5 — NO lo recomiendo

*2011-09-03, version 1.76*

Tras varios intentos frustrados de comprender su funcionamiento acabo por desistalarlo.
Una pena porque parecía interesante.

### 2/5 — finger cad.

*2011-08-31, version 1.76*

not worth the money for me at all, fond it way to akward to control and use ddint do half i expected for the price..

### 2/5 — Ummmm........no

*2011-08-13, version 1.75*

This program is in dire need of some basic updates which would make it so much better. For one, some basic navigational tools - a drag tool for instance. Moving around a drawing is choppy and usually screws up your work. Also there needs to be an option to work with angles that are fixed and adjustable in 15 degree intervals. I work in inches and feet (as do most in North America). When I pull a line in inches, I get the line only in inches and not broken down in feet AND inches. So a line length becomes 3041 inches...The under finger tool is cool but needs better zoom options. To me this app is worth about $2.99. Maybe useful for very simple uses. Ultimately I wish we could try apps for 15 minutes before committing to buy - this one I would surely return considering its $10 price tag.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — WASTE OF MONEY!

*2015-01-05, version 2.7*

CAUTION! Do not purchase the description is a lie. The controls are difficult. The screenshots are a lie. It should be rated zero stars but I had to default to one star.

I repeat DO NOT BUY

If purchased you must ask for a refund.

### 1/5 — Don't buy

*2014-05-26, version 2.7*

This app is a waste of money. Is very difficult to used. Is nearly impossible to connect the dots. Don't buy it you will only end up piss off.

### 1/5 — No help pack

*2014-03-29, version 2.7*

I bought this app in spite of the negative reviews. I cannot write a proper review until I have used the app. The app contains no help pack. Include a help pack and i will give a balanced review.

### 1/5 — Dissappointing

*2014-02-23, version 2.7*

This application showed much promise. Especially the feature of importing a picture and then laying down dimensions on top of it. Both this and from scratch drawing was considerably difficult. I ended up having to use a different application entirely. I wish it had a trial version before dropping for the paid one.

### 1/5 — DO NOT PURCHASE

*2013-01-30, version 2.1*

This software is wise than some that you can get for free such room planner.

Absolute waste of money. You have been warned.

I do not usually waste time writing reviews but on this occasion after wasting £6.99. I had to.

### 1/5 — ?????

*2012-12-29, version 2.0*

Looks great but no instructions on commands. Paid $10 bucks and deleted it same day!

### 1/5 — FingerCAD, help!

*2012-11-08, version 2.0*

Played with this for ten minutes, but there are no help files or tutorials. How do you expect me to know how to use it properly?
This app promises to be great but I am a newbie to it and as such it would be helpful to have some guidance! All I want is to draw a simple coffee table with dimensions.........arghhhhhh!

### 1/5 — Nicht kaufen

*2012-10-30, version 2.0*

Tutorial fehlt komplett.

### 1/5 — Total Trash

*2012-09-16, version 1.84*

Very tricky to use don't waste your money. No undo or delete function, make a mistake or want to change something you can't, you have to live with it or start again! One of many frustrating things with this app.

### 1/5 — If you own ipad2 don't buy

*2012-04-22, version 1.83*

Very slow and waste of money. Not worth it so must be an iPad 3 tool. Do your self a favor take ten dollars and put it in trash can.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Really good

*2018-04-19, version 3.0*

While it’s true it’s not easy, 3d modeling is amazing and rewarding if you take the time to learn.
This app goes a long way to try and help, but you must make an effort.
Thanks for all your hard work in making this, it’s good.

### 5/5 — Ottima

*2014-05-04, version 2.7*

Consiglio fortemente!!

### 5/5 — Awesome app

*2014-02-21, version 2.7*

This is a very versatile app with intuitive controls. It's a bit more expensive than most apps but not expensive when considering the cost of cad programs. And it is value for money: The creative possibilities are massive. My aim is to build a fictional town and illustrate a story in it. I'm not an architect but reckon this would be a great app for architecture students and practitioners when visualising initial ideas. Creative ideas don't always happen in the studio and that's the beauty of this app. Interior designers should definitely check this out too. It has a sister program called Finger3d where you can also create designs and import from fingercad to colour the 3d models. The interface is different and suited to product design. Together these programs are amazing! It's obvious that this app straddles the needs of both professional and just-for-fun designers! Two the best apps on my ipad! I'd recommend it to all 3D designers. I had a question about how to use and the app developer emailed me an answer the very same day. A great app.

### 5/5 — Useful CAD app

*2012-06-22, version 1.84*

I can see that this App can be very useful for doing CAD layout, the documentation is extensive and the companion 3D App is a nice touch. I recommend it for those looking to do CAD work on their iPad!

### 5/5 — Very good, frequent updates

*2010-11-12, version 0*

Very good, comprehensive and frequent updates. I asked the developer to add certain features and he promptly implemented them in the next update.

You need to read the guide to benefit from its comprehensive features (the guide is available on the developer's website or by clicking the help icon within the application).

However, you must have reasonable expectations considering the price (compared to PC programs costing hundreds or thousands of pounds), the limitations of iPad’s hardware (which is far less powerful compared to a PC) and the limitations of the IOS.

You can’t have the performance of a Ferrari using bicycle equipment, a few pounds as funds and then run it on an agriculture land (and then moan that you cannot reach supersonic speeds). It might be an exaggerated example but you get the point.

### 5/5 — O.O

*2010-11-02, version 0*

I'm no architect or even a student to be one but I like to build and this is exactly what I've been looking for, you can build pretty much any thing, I'm 13 and I have a fair sized office building together complete with meeting rooms and break rooms...

### 4/5 — Powerful and inexpensive CAD app

*2012-06-30, version 1.84*

Computer Assisted Design (CAD). This is a fairly powerful CAD app with a fair amount that is intuitive and for that which is not there is a PDF user manual at the developers web site. For the life of me I don't know why it's not also in the app. Not sure why the other reviewer said that this is not a CAD app. It's not a $300 one but it is an a decent entry level CAD program with various snap to features, automatic vertex connection, 2D and 3D, etc. for only $10.

### 3/5 — Missing just a few things

*2012-03-10, version 1.80*

I like this app a lot, and as for the price I have yet to find a comparable one. I like the 3d view and the multi floor. There are just a few thing this app needs, though. I would like to see a more in depth tutorial (perhaps interactive) and 3d geometrics (not just straight lines up from the 2d drawing.) I use this app to design ironwork, such as chainmaille (which uses rings) and knives (which uses flat shapes.) for these things, the current 3d view is of little use. One final thing is the selection tool. I would
Ike to see the selected piece STAY selected instead of moving outside the selection zone. This way, if I move too far, I don't have to re-select the piece.

### 3/5 — Ok, no docs, hard to use

*2011-07-29, version 1.75*

I bought this to draw simple designs for things to make in my workshop. I like that it tells you sizes and coordinates as you draw. Hard to select objects, or parts of objects. Overall, I'm not able to draw what I want easily. Price is too high - a free trial ( maybe that you can't save with until you upgrade...) would be appreciated.

### 3/5 — Buono

*2010-07-10, version 0*

Buon programma, ottima l'idea del 3D, semplice e abbastanza intuitivo per un CAD, ora bisogna lavorare sull'importazione dei file e magari sulla manipolazione dei solidi per creare porte e finestre. Buon lavoro
