## What is Fingerchase?

Good practice gets easier when you always know where you are in the music. Fingerchase keeps the score, 88-key keyboard, playback position, and practice history together, so you can slow down, focus on a tricky passage, and pick up where you left off.

Practice at your own pace

• Tap any measure to start playback or practice there.
• Loop a difficult passage with A–B points until it feels comfortable.
• Work on the left hand or right hand separately, then bring them together.
• Slow the music down and return to full tempo whenever you are ready.
• Keep your place and on-device practice history for every piece.
• Open Free Practice or the metronome without choosing a score first.

Bring your own scores

Have a score of your own? Import MusicXML, MXL, or MIDI and use the same reading, playback, and practice tools. Personal content stays on your device. Fingerchase does not create public links, sync it to the cloud, or export the score file.

See the theory inside the music

While you practice, explore key signatures, scales, and scale degrees that can be read reliably from the score. When the music does not provide enough information, Fingerchase says so instead of guessing.

A forum shaped by your feedback

Have a question or an idea for the app? Browse and search public discussions, agree or disagree, leave a comment, and follow the developer's public plans and release progress. Every message helps us understand what musicians actually need and make Fingerchase better. Anyone can read the forum; posting and interacting require Sign in with Apple.

Experimental on-device features

If you would like to explore further, Fingerchase also includes image/PDF score recognition, microphone score following, and solo-piano audio transcription. These features are still experimental. Results can vary with score quality, piano tone, pedal use, musical complexity, and background noise, so please review them before use. Microphone score following helps you find your place in the score; it does not grade technique, accuracy, or mastery.

Privacy, accounts, and network use

Your personal scores, imported images/PDFs/audio, microphone audio, recognition results, and detailed practice data are not uploaded to our servers. Raw microphone audio is not saved as a recording.

You do not need an account for everyday practice. Fingerchase goes online only when you choose to use the forum, referrals, subscriptions, or external links. Posting, commenting, and reacting in the forum require Sign in with Apple. Please keep personal or sensitive information out of public posts.

Free, Pro, and Pro+

Browsing the library, reading scores, playback, separate-hand practice, loops, tempo control, Free Practice, and the metronome are free. Some pieces, personal-score tools, recognition uses, and experimental tools require Pro or Pro+. The in-app subscription page and the App Store always show the current features, billing periods, and prices.
