## What is FinishStrong?

You've started and stopped before. Maybe more than once. This is the quiet running app: you open it, it tells you what to do, and the noise in your head goes quiet while you move.

No streaks. No pressure. No plan that turns a skipped day into a problem. Just a calmer way back.
Maybe you came back from an injury and went too hard, too soon. Maybe an app hammered you with speed work until something hurt. Maybe you have quit a few times and do not quite trust yourself to start again. We built this for exactly that.

THE ONLY PLAN THAT ADJUSTS WHEN YOU DO

Most plans grade you against themselves. Skip what they scheduled and it counts against you. Run something sensible they did not predict and it counts as nothing. FinishStrong works the other way around. You run, then answer one question: how did that feel? The plan listens and moves with you. No catch-up runs. No penalty. No drama.

HOW IT WORKS:
Each day you get one run that fits real life. Finish it, or stop early if that is what your body needs. Then one question: how did that feel? That is the whole job. Your next run stays steady or eases off quietly, based on what you told it.

MADE FOR RUNNERS WHO:
- Have quit before and want this time to be different
- Get hurt when a plan pushes too hard, too fast
- Feel anxious when every run is scored, ranked, and judged
- Want running to fit into life without becoming a project
- Would rather be told what to do today than manage it themselves

A QUIET RECORD OF WHO YOU ARE BECOMING:
No leaderboards. No streak to protect. No perfect week to ruin. Just a calm record that you have been showing up in a way you can actually sustain. Give it a few weeks and you may notice the thing nobody warns you about: the run you used to dread becomes the part of the day where your head finally goes quiet.

WHAT REAL USERS ARE SAYING:
“I miss some days and the app doesn't freak out about it.”
“This app helped me go from limping with an ankle injury to running again.”
“This feels way more realistic than other running apps I've tried.”

### 5/5 — Easy To Use

*2026-02-27*

I love the simplicity of this app. I like the check-in questions post-run and how it modifies your run schedule based on your feedback. I like how it works for either outside or treadmill running. And I REALLY love the bar charts. Highly recommend!!!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this. The bar charts are one of my favorite parts too. Being able to see your progress visually makes a real difference when the day to day grind feels invisible. And the check-in questions are the heart of the whole app, so hearing that they’re landing well means a lot. Really appreciate you taking the time to write this.

### 5/5 — Great walking/running app

*2026-02-11*

This feels way more realistic than other running apps I’ve tried. It adjusts and fits into my life & reminds me when to exercise!

**Developer response:** This is exactly what I was hoping people would feel. Running apps that don’t adapt to real life just end up making you feel behind, and that’s the opposite of helpful. Thank you for the kind words and for sticking with it.

### 5/5 — Good for Senior Citizens too!

*2026-02-07*

At 72 my goal is to walk 20-25 miles per week
This APP monitors and measures my progress

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for sharing this. We love hearing how you’re using it to stay active and track your progress. Keep crushing those miles!

### 5/5 — Limping to Running

*2026-02-06*

This app helped me go from limping with an ankle injury to running again! 🙌

**Developer response:** That’s incredible to hear. We’re really glad the app could support your comeback. Wishing you many strong, pain-free runs ahead!

### 5/5 — Works with real life

*2026-01-30*

I miss some days and the app doesn’t freak out about it. I just come back and keep going & that feels way more realistic for my life right now.

**Developer response:** Thank you for this. Designing the app to fit real life was very intentional. I’m glad it's helping you keep going in a way that feels realistic. Appreciate you taking the time to share.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-26

Half marathon and marathon plans, from where you actually are.

If your date or your running history does not support the distance yet, the app tells you plainly, with your own numbers, and recommends the earliest date that would work. You can still choose to go for your date anyway. Every safety rule inside the plan still applies.

Also in this update: a batch of quiet fixes to how plans start, how Apple Health history counts toward your plan, and how notifications describe your week. Nothing dramatic. Just fewer small things that were wrong.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-11

FinishStrong+ now works with Apple Health. Runs and walks recorded on your watch or in other apps can count toward your plan. If you choose, workouts you complete in FinishStrong can be saved to Apple Health too. You can also send today's workout to your Apple Watch: structure only, no pace or heart rate alerts.

Health data stays on your device. It is never sent to us, never included in analytics or crash reports, and never used for advertising.

### 1.3.4 — 2026-07-29

FinishStrong+ now shows its work, and hands you more of the wheel.

FinishStrong+ now keeps a plain, dated record of what your plan changed and why, so you can look back anytime. New Plus members see their first proof within the first week or two.

Plus members also get more control over their schedule: choose your run days, move an upcoming run, pause a plan and pick it back up later, or start a different plan without losing any history.

We fixed an issue where resuming after a lapse could get stuck. Manual logging now records exactly what you did without rewriting what was planned. Returning free users after a long break get a calm offer to right-size their plan.

### 1.3.3 — 2026-07-16

The workout screen now tells the whole truth.

- Interval workouts now show every part of the session exactly as it is: mixed-effort weeks, both halves of a two-block workout, and your final continuous run all display completely, with colors and totals that match what you'll actually do.
- The last week of a 5K plan is now called what it is: a Steady Run.
- Your first workout now carries a quiet marker in your history. And if you finish your first one ever, the app takes one small moment to mark it with you.
- The rest day card now offers to log a run or a walk you did anyway.
- Fixes an issue where the app could fail to open after updating from an older version.

### 1.3.2 — 2026-07-16

Two new ways to see your history, and a plan that asks before it changes anything.

- New in FinishStrong+: your runs as stars, a map of every run in this plan, and a plain record of what your body said along the way.
- Workouts you completed as a FinishStrong+ member now carry a quiet FS+ mark wherever they appear, and Settings shows how long you've been a member.
- Come back after a long break and the plan gives you the choice: start again from today, keep your current plan as is, or log the run you already did. Whatever you pick, everything from before the break stays exactly as it was.
- Finished interval workouts now show the distance and pace you actually ran, not just the time.
