## What is FinLad?

FinLad keeps track of your money and your property in one app. Not only "what
did I spend", but "what do I own": accounts, budgets, utility bills,
investments, property and cars add up to a single picture of your net worth.

WHAT IS INSIDE
• Income and expenses with categories, rules and search
• Monthly budgets by category, with overspend warnings
• Utility services: meter readings, charges and payments
• Assets and liabilities: property, cars, deposits, investments — and net worth
• Several currencies, with NBU rates and conversion to your base currency
• Backup and restore, export to CSV and JSON
• FinLad in a browser on your computer — app.finlad.site, the same ledger on a
  big screen (Plus)
• Financial profiles and family access: work and personal money apart, and chosen accounts shared with the people you live with (Plus)

AI THAT DOES THE BORING PART
• Receipt scanning: a photo becomes an expense with date, amount and merchant
• Where a receipt carries a fiscal QR code, the data is read from it — instantly
  and with no network
• Auto-categorization: the app works out an unfamiliar merchant once, then files
their expenses on the device itself
• Statement import from Ukrainian banks — CSV, XLSX and PDF

IT WORKS OFFLINE ONCE YOU ARE SIGNED IN
The network is needed once, to sign in. After that your records live on the
device and are available offline. Sync between devices belongs to the paid
tiers; without it the app is fully usable on one device.

PRIVACY
• One-tap sign-up — no address, no name, no phone number
• No ad trackers, and nothing sold
• Amounts, balances, budgets and the names you give them are encrypted on your
own phone before they ever leave for the server — nobody there can read them
• Receipt and meter photos are encrypted the same way, under your account key
• One recovery code opens both the account and the figures; a second device gets
the key from the first, by approval or by QR
• Delete your account and all data in settings, or at
  finlad.site/delete-account

TIERS
The free tier covers tracking, budgets, assets and net worth on one device.
Plus adds cross-device sync, financial profiles, family access for up to three
people, utility services, investments, credits and debts, statement import,
bank connection, recurring payments, receipt scanning and AI categorization:
$2.99/month, $24.99/year or $54.99 forever.

SUBSCRIPTION
FinLad Plus is an auto-renewable subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Payment
is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews
automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current
period; manage it or turn off renewal in your Apple Account settings. FinLad
Plus Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not renew.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-08

A FASTER START

• After Face ID, Touch ID or your PIN, Home shows its figures straight away — sync and background chores wait until it has appeared.
• A PIN you have typed no longer lingers on the screen.

FIXES

• Budget: a past month shows its own spending again instead of zero, and leftovers carry over into the next month correctly.
• Utility and recurring payment reminders arrive at 10:00 the day before, not in the middle of the night.
• Deleting the account now says that an App Store subscription is cancelled separately, with a «Manage subscription» button.
• Small fixes and improvements.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-25

FAMILY ACCESS (PLUS)

• Share the accounts and properties you choose with up to three people you live with. One Plus covers the whole family: a member has it for as long as they stay, and joining costs nothing.
• Joining works like handing the key to a new phone: the owner shows a QR code, both screens show the same six digits, and the owner confirms.
• A shared account is shared whole, with its history — the app says so before you tick it. A property brings its utilities with it.
• A member either views only or adds entries. One who adds entries can add and correct payments on shared accounts and enter meter readings, and every shared payment says who made it.
• The family keeps one budget, and everyone who adds entries can edit it.
• Shared records are encrypted with a family key our server never holds. Removing a member changes the key.
• What stays private: your other accounts, receipt photos, goals, credits, recurring payments and investments. When a membership ends, everyone keeps what they entered themselves.
• More → Settings → Family access.

FINANCIAL PROFILES (PLUS)

• Split your money by the parts of your life — personal, work, a rented office — with up to three profiles, each with its own icon.
• Choose a profile at the top of the screen, and Home, Transactions and Statistics show only its accounts. «All profiles» shows everything again.
• Each profile has its own budget; under «All profiles» the budget screen lists every profile's plan.
• A property and its utilities can belong to a profile too.
• Every account starts in «Main», which holds whatever the other profiles have not taken. Deleting a profile removes a view — accounts and transactions stay.

A SECOND CURRENCY

• Totals on Home and in Statistics can also be shown in a currency you think in: «≈ $1,240» under the base figure, never instead of it. It is for reference, at the latest rate, and the screen says which rate and from what day.

A NEW LAYOUT

• Accounts have their own tab; Investments moved into More.
• The profile is the screen's title, and the sync status is a small icon.
• Pull down to refresh Home and the transaction list.
• In the budget, the month has a row of its own.
• Forms slide up from the bottom with the keyboard ready, instead of popping up in the middle of the screen.

ALSO

• Share a bank statement — CSV, XLSX, XLS or PDF — from Files or another app straight into FinLad's import.
• Recurring payments: tapping one asks whether to add a new entry or pick the one already in your transactions, so nothing is counted twice.
• An investment linked to a quote now also appears in Markets.
• Archived utility services can be found and brought back: «Archived services» on the property's card.
• Budget alerts now report spending only — not a limit you changed, a budget made mid-month, or a new phone signing in.
• Screens that were still in English are translated.
• Bug fixes and small improvements.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-24

LEDGER ENCRYPTION

• Your figures are encrypted on your own phone: amounts, balances, budgets, credit schedules, meter readings, asset and investment valuations — and the names you give them. They leave for our server already encrypted, and nobody there can read them, ourselves included.
• What stays readable is the date, the currency, the description and merchant from a bank statement, and category names — that is what the app files bank transactions by while your phone is asleep.
• No new cryptography was written: this is the system's own.

WHAT CHANGES FOR YOU

• On an account you already have, encryption switches itself on: the moment you keep your recovery code, the app re-encrypts everything already there and writes encrypted from then on. Nothing to move, nothing to re-enter.
• If you use more than one device, update the app on all of them. An older version cannot read an encrypted ledger, so it will ask to be updated.
• A device without the key shows nobody's figures and sends none of yours: it waits for the key and says what to do.

THE RECOVERY CODE

• One code opens both the account and the figures — there is no second secret to learn.
• A new account is shown it straight away, and you cannot lose it afterwards: any device holding the key will show the same code again.
• If you type the code in yourself, the app stops asking whether you have saved it.

A NEW PHONE

• Ask a phone you are already signed in on: approve it there with your own biometrics and the key moves across.
• Or scan a QR from your own screen, or enter the recovery code. Three ways, and every one of them works without us.
• The session list now shows each device's model name.

FINLAD IN A BROWSER (PLUS)

• Open app.finlad.site on a computer and confirm the sign-in from your phone — the same ledger on a big screen: wide tables, several filters at once, keyboard control.
• An account is created in the app, never in a browser.

ALSO

• Turning sync off now deletes the server copy as well, so "this device only" means exactly that.
• There is a «Report a problem» screen now: More → About the app. Write to us from inside the app and attach a screenshot — even when you cannot sign in.
• Bug fixes and small improvements.

### 1.0.45 — 2026-09-13

• Settings are a hub now: six sections instead of one long scroll — sign-in and account, security, data and sync, app, guides.
• Utility payments: one "+" opens every form, rent is a service that raises its own charge, and several services of a flat are paid in one payment that writes its own expense.
• Recurring payments: search the list, pay from the reminder that opens the right payment, and create the account you need without leaving the form.
• Calendar: a recurring payment can become an event in your calendar — the app asks once, adds only its own events and never reads your diary.
• What I own and investments ask one question per screen, and an entry in the valuation history can be corrected or thrown away.
• Quick entry with AI (Plus): a line like "coffee 85" arrives with a category from your own list.
• Bug fixes and small improvements.

### 1.0.44 — 2026-09-10

• A loan is added step by step: the kind of debt, the amount, the account and the terms. The wizard can take over an account you already have, or open a new one for it.
• Closing a credit asks first, and says what happens to its account.
• Recurring payments: record a payment straight from the list or from the reminder; a period already paid says so, and paying it twice asks first.
• Utilities for a place you rent: add a rented flat or office without inventing a price for it — it never counts towards your net worth.
• Bug fixes and small improvements.
