When changes are made to the booking due to FinnAir flight cancellations they are not reflected within the app. You also can not find the updated booking. I’m confused what exactly the app is even used for? I had to use a web browser to check in for my flight and had to rely on third party websites to confirm the status of my flights. If you are a group traveling you cannot see the information for other travelers which is crazy if you are traveling with kids who don’t have a phone. Maybe 5 years ago this was acceptable but today apps should have pull to refresh and should at lease work as well as Google. I found searching my flight number in Google was more accurate. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2025-06-16, version 2.19.1* I installed the app because of the promise of convenient check-in. After installation it worked for a while, but in the following days it was unusable. "Could not connect to Finnair. Please try again later." Neither restarting the iPhone 16 (iOS 18.5) nor reinstalling the app helped; the app never connected to Finnair again. Support also doesn't work, only AI is available, which can't solve the problem and has been repeating for two days "No agents are currently available, the queue has reached its limit." It reserves 14 days to reply by email. Very difficult communication with Finnair! ### 1/5 — 👉🏼Login troubles 😠 *2025-06-13, version 2.19.0* Can login in Safari browser with my finnair account credentials - also with app on my iPad (all last releases of app and OS)! But NOT possible to login with my Finnair app on my iPhone!!! Always: "Could not connect to Finnair. Literally nothing you can do other than push the “continue” button, which takes to a “something went wrong” error page. No boarding pass, every time I click on the seat button to change my seat it gives an error message saying “problem uploading that information, please try again later.” I’ve been trying for days, and all day. Never works. All it’s good for is to show you your flight, that’s it. Everything and anything else you must do through the website, which honestly isn’t that much better; I’d give it 2 stars! Website won’t add my trip via the reference number, keeps saying “something went wrong, try again later.” It will find it under the find my trip. Problem with that is you have to keep typing it back in to find it. Just a waste of an app! And again, the website isn’t that much better. Finnair, do better. Makes no sense at all in this day an age of available tech for you to be this terrible with your online and app options for your airline! The only thing that really bothers me is that there is no date when you go into a specific booking. You can see that there are 56 days until your flight to ‘Tokyo’ for example but it doesn’t mention the actual date. Adding the date would help dramatically. The latest version suddenly provides you with a webview flow which is not as easy to navigate through and requires some strange mandatory selection, such as where the boarding pass should be sent to (in this selection the app is missing?!). If you don’t select anything you are trapped in a loop and need to go back and forth until you realise that you really need to select something there.
