## What is FINPREP?

FinPrep is a financial planning app built for service members — a modern, private take
on the military Financial Planning Worksheet.   

Enter your pay grade, years of service, and duty station, and FinPrep auto-fills your
2026 entitlements, then helps you build a complete spending plan.

PAY & ALLOWANCES (2026 rates built in)

### 1.1 — 2026-08-10

Expenses got a full makeover. Each category now shows as a collapsible card with its monthly total and a proportion bar — so you can see where your money is going at a glance. Jump straight to any category from a dropdown, and delete is now safely gated behind an Edit mode so nothing disappears by accident.

Projected Outlook (Pro) is bigger. It now covers expenses and surplus alongside income, with a bar chart showing Current vs Projected side by side. The projected duty-station BAH picker has also been upgraded — pick from all 338 housing areas for an accurate BAH estimate anywhere in the country.

TSP growth (Pro) now lets you choose your time horizon (5–30 years) and a return-rate assumption (conservative, moderate, or aggressive) for a more personalized projection.
