Updated review: Yay! The downloaded files randomly not working is FIXED! THANK YOU! Just 2 more fixes needed:

1. I know it’s not your fault, but the headphone volume is WAY TOO LOUD. Like, I’m going to ruin my hearing loud. It’s an iOS system problem. Adding a volume setting that reduces volume beyond Apple audio APIs would be great. 

2. The tab that lists the songs you downloaded should also act as a playlist or song player, so you can play the songs you *know* are downloaded if you can’t reach your home network. Otherwise it seems you have to keep looking at the list of downloaded songs and then go to the Music tab and search for each song independently to play them. That part doesn’t seem well thought out, unless I’m missing something? Thanks for your hard work!

I love the app, it mostly works exactly as expected. However, after you download music, something weird happens. The songs play fine for a while—days or weeks, it seems. But then something happens—maybe when the app or iOS itself gets updated—and then your downloaded music no longer plays in the app. I can use the Files app to find the music and it plays fine there (although with random IDs as the filename, so you don’t know what song is going to play), but it won’t play within the app. Weird.

A suggestion, too: the tab that lists the songs you downloaded should also act as a playlist or song player, so you can play the songs you *know* are downloaded if you can’t reach your home network. Otherwise it seems you have to keep looking at the list of downloaded songs and then go to the Music tab and search for each song independently to play them. The app works really nice for Jellyfin audio streaming. Currently, there seem to be some issues (at least for me) with downloaded (cached) tracks which don’t play.

Die App hat ein sehr schönes und funktionales Design. Das Abspielen von Musik von meinem Jeelyfin Server funktioniert Problem los. Raspberry 4b

Einzige fehlende Funktion: 
Die Playlist von Jellyfin werden leider nicht nicht 29.1.2025 unterstützt

Great app. With the latest update the playlists are now working for me!

I wish you could view a list of ‘All Songs’ and ‘Genres’ like in the iTunes app, that would make this app perfect. Fintunes only shows albums & playlists at current & you cannot create playlists in the app which makes the feature a little impractical. Genres would be useful for on the fly listening. 

Otherwise this app is amazing, performs well, and looks amazing. Fits the iOS ui well and has a level of polish above most alternatives.

Would be 5 stars if it had the genres & all songs features but these are a small gripe.

The player is overall rather basic. It works also with high fidelity FLAC files which is pretty neat. 

The offline mode could be better. If the phone is offline the app still shows all albums, so you need to search for the albums that were downloaded to play them. There is a view with all downloaded tracks, but you cannot start to play them from that view.

If, when playing music in the background (reading news in another app for example) another audio stream start to play, then Fintunes pauses, as it should. However it seems to be impossible to resume from this condition. The song that was playing previously is still shown with the || pause button, but the button does not resume playback.

I really like this app. Native Jellyfin sadly is for music unusable. At least on my older iPhone 13 Pro.

The newest update brought lyrics support into the app. And much nicer compared to the native app. Let me know how I can support you. This app is just perfect. 

One downside ist that startup of the app is a bit slow on my iPhone. Please let me know how I can support you

Hey, really nice app! Thank you! Free, and no user tracking.

Very polished app. Great tab layout. Great settings & descriptions.

The only problem so far was the initial connecting. When connecting to your server, if you use "https://" instead of "http://" you get an unrecoverable error and you have to kill the app & restart (no Back button). Likewise, if you forget your port number.

Suggestion: on the Connect to Server page, have the descriptive text have a few examples of connection strings, including a local server with default port, to jog our memories! Thanks.
