## What is firebird?

Meet. Don't Scroll.

firebird connects you with the people who are already in the same place as you, instead of with profiles you swipe through for weeks.

HOW IT WORKS

Pick one of the firebird venues in Jena: a café, a bar, a park, the campus or one of our partner venues. Go there. In the app you set who you would like to meet, by age range and gender. firebird automatically checks that you share at least one language, and connects you with the people on site who match.

No messaging beforehand, no plans made three weeks in advance. You are already there, and so is everyone else.

YOUR OWN EVENTS

Would you rather go out with people you already know? Create a private event in firebird: a dinner, bouldering, a game night, a birthday. These events are never public, only the friends you select can see them. Anyone invited can pass the invitation on to further friends. This works anywhere, independently of our venues.

NO DATING

firebird is not a dating app. It is about not spending the evening alone, meeting new people in your city and doing things instead of watching them.

SAFETY

Every account is verified by phone number. Meetings with people you do not know yet take place exclusively at curated, publicly accessible venues. You can report and block any profile at any time. The venues themselves never receive any personal data about you.

WHAT IT COSTS

firebird is free. The basic version is funded by advertising. If you prefer, the premium subscription lets you use firebird without ads, available as a monthly or a yearly subscription. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings.

WHERE FIREBIRD IS AVAILABLE

firebird is starting in Jena. The venues are hand-picked and more are added over time, with further cities to follow. Private events with your friends work everywhere from day one.

firebird needs location access for the location-based features.
